Excellent! The best of all the human staff!!! Starting with the receptionists, the restaurant staff, the spa, the pool and the two bars, animation, the cleaning girls. It has been a very good experience!!

My husband and I spent a week at this particular hotel in July on a half board basis. It was our first time visiting Calpe. On arriving, we were greeted by friendly reception staff. We were unable to check into our room due to arriving early so, we put our luggage into storage and went to explore. We found that the hotel was situated in an excellent location, close to many bars and restaurants, on the main *****. When we checked into our room, we were very impressed at how nice the room was. Our bathroom was nice and big. We didn’t have a good view but, considering the amount of time we spent in the room, we didn’t mind the view not being good. We had our evening meal and then breakfast the following morning, both of which were really good. Again, we were impressed with the food. To sum up, would we stay at this hotel again? Absolutely, we enjoyed everything about it, not only what I’ve mentioned above but the Staff throughout the hotel were also lovely, in fact we both said that we would have liked to have stayed longer than a week. I would highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely go back. I would have provided a 5, the only reason I didn’t is due to our cards continuously not working in several areas but, as previously mentioned, we loved the place.

Visited my pace twice in 2023 as so good So disappointed with 2025 visit Room very noisy no chance of sleep before midnight Breakfast gone down big time no fresh coffee anymore only machine Food quality at breakfast not as good Pool staff miserable Quite expensive to stay here in 2023 thought it was worth it but not anymore Gone downhill in staff quality overall

We had a lovely holiday at the Solymar Gran Hotel. The rooms were lovely and clean, and staff friendly. The real downside was for myself, and I guess many fellow guests was the lack of sun loungers, for the size of the hotel. They keep the gates locked for the main, and rooftop pools, once opened people rush in and place their towels. I went once to wait at the gate, and a man told me , he waits at one gate, and his wife at the rooftop one , they both place towels on two loungers, at each pool. I saw where he left his towels at the main pool, he arrived around 3pm , stayed an hour then left. More needs to be done. So I gave up , bought seats and a parasol and used the beach.

Llevamos yendo 7 años, y jamás defrauda. El mejor 4 estrellas que hemos conocido. El personal, fabuloso. Absolutamente todos. La comida, manjar de dioses. Las instalaciones, con una ubicación inmejorable. Y las habitaciones grandes, confortables y cómodas. The hotels location is excellent 👍 My only criticism is the sunbeds are very limited, the roof top pool was for me a waste of time, very small with every sunbed pushed together Not ideal for relaxation, the ones downstairs near the beach are a bit better, to be honest we used to wait until the afternoon then get a bed on the plastic grass part, much more relaxing than being sandwiched between all of the other beds. We stayed in room 5004 overlooking the side road, you could just about see the sea. Positives Location Fantastic choice at breakfast Super view from the restaurant on level -2 no idea why people queue for the restaurant upstairs 🤔 Room very spacious and well cleaned Drinks price okay for a hotel Staff super friendly Communal areas very tastefully decorated Comfy beds Good aircon in the room Negatives No welcome drink on arrival Not enough sun beds No yoga, Pilates or similar BIG negative we ordered a box breakfast the day before due to leaving at 6.50. Arrived at reception in the morning, to be told the person we placed the order with, had forgotten to order them 😞the guy on reception then dashed into the restaurant and got us a bottle of water and some fruit, pretty disappointed this happened. Would I return? Yes due to the location 👍
