I stayed with 2 friends for 6 nights. Hotel is nothing like pictures Location is hidden away so it was difficult to find, no signage at the front No blankets/duvets, we had to ask for these and were given bed sheets. It got quite cold during the night. No lock on bathroom door and the door is glass so there's no privacy No door on shower so whole floor got wet No room service throughout stay to change bed linen Had to ask for fresh towels which were wet everytime 1 small bar of soap between 3 of us, not replenished Toilet roll not replenished even after asking. We ended up buying our own. Broken wardrobe Noisy even past midnight One night they started drilling and hammering at around 10pm Breakfast was a plate of cold bread, boiled egg, a tomato and slice of cucumber. We decided against Gave 10 items to be washed in the morning said it would be ready by 4pm, we arrived at the hotel at 9pm and asked for laundry which wasn't received, went out for food, returned at 11pm and asked again, again wasn't received, went down a third time to ask. Received 2 items and was told the rest would be sent in 20 minutes. One of the items was still dirty. Booked a taxi for the airport for 8.30. Went to reception and he said he'd booked it for 9 by mistake. This was a lie he'd clearly forgotten the driver arrived 9.10. We told them to book a car big enough for luggage they said it wouldn't be problem. We ended up riding in the back with our hand luggage. They force customers to leave good reviews as they leave the hotel so don't trust the positive reviews. Bunch of scammers.

Shocking. No towels provided unless requested, when requested, wet towels given. Hot water non existent in shower. No hot water in tap either. Clothes washed came back dirty. One bar of soap. Room not cleaned in 6 nights. Dirty rooms and bathroom. No shower door. Taxi requested on day of departure- receptionist forgot to request it. Despite this, staff try to appear friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a boiled egg and a couple of slices of bread on a dusty rooftop. Location is good though. That's the only thing going for this hotel. You get what you pay for.

I chose this hotel due to its location and price. Unfortunately this is absolutely a case of "you get what you paid for". For some people, that might be just fine. However for me I had to book another hotel that night as I could not stay in this hotel. Firstly, the location is on the 5th floor of a building and it is not signposted well. In saying that, a helpful member of staff (a young man who's name I forgot unfortunately) asked me if I was looking for Up Town and helped me with my bags. For reference, it is two doors or so next to KFC. The elevator up is an old style elevator. The service at reception was fine for me. Unfortunately when I entered the room, there were two flies flying around, many small bugs and spider web remnants on the bathroom ceiling and no towels provided. The TV was broken as was the window latch - it was very loud and you can hear all the traffic from the room (horns etc.) The room looked basically unloved, with a basic and not thorough clean done. I unfortunately would not stay here again however if you are price sensitive, the location is VERY convenient if you are wanting to be in downtown Cairo.

Amazing View and very good value for the money. Perfect for backpackers, solo travelers, couples or friends. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and areas. Definitely I will go back on my next trip to Cairo. Stayed there 3 nights and I felt like home ❤️.

A place to avoid. Very scruffy. The people are nice and friendly but it’s a struggle to get things done. There is no restaurant or food in the hotel. No coffee machine or safe in the room. The internet is virtually useless. I had to buy a local SIM card to get anything done. I never had anything better than luke warm water over 10 days despite numerous requests. Rooms are only cleaned on request. The entrance is a shock. Very scruffy. There is no city noise in the room but the hotel is noisy , I heard people banging door at all hours of the day and night. There’s quite a bit of construction noise from work in the building. The paw is cheap but you definitely get what you pay for.

ATTENTION GROSSE ARNAQUE !!! A FUIR !!!

Because of the location, the price, and previous reviews, we hadn't expected much of the hotel, but were delighted when we arrived. We were greeted downstairs, and taken up in the lift to the reception on the fifth floor (called the ground floor by the hotel), our bags carried for us. The reception staff were well presented, professional, and very warm, friendly, and helpful. And we loved our room which was clean, tidy, well presented, freshly decorated, and with a great view of the roundabout, which was a source of much entertainment for the family. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony watching the traffic! The hotel entrance is a narrow gated alley to the right of KFC. If a taxi driver doesn't know the hotel, tell him "KFC Tahrir Square". When dropped off you'll have to walk to the right to get around the metal fence separating the road from the pavement. The roof terrace is functional rather than attractive. The male staff on reception at night were OK, but were often slow and reluctant to stop smoking and get out of their chairs. If requesting extra soap or toilet paper it is best to stay in reception until the items are produced, otherwise you might either wait a long time, or simply not get it. The bathroom was freshly refurbished, but the design did not include a soap holder in the shower, or a towel rail (we used the door handle). To be fair, these are small quibbles, for the price and location (Cairo Museum is in the same street, Cairo Tower is a short walk away across the Nile, and the Metro is across the street), this is a decent hotel.
