The Plantation Gambia

Our 2nd time here did not disappoint. Great food all prepared from scratch by Nikki, superb service, extremely comfortable sun loungers, and hot weather! The noisiest things are the birds singing and next doors Cockerel! Don't get me wrong; if you want 5* European accommodation this place may not be for you but for The Gambia it equates - it has working plumbing! Why do I love it? Superb service, tranquility, excellent home cooked food, spotless pool, your own sun lounger, absolutely privacy. You would have no idea this place existed behind the high metal gates. My oasis

What an amazing hoilday we had..it was made extra special by the owners nikki and Neil of the Plantation and not forgettingthe freindly dogs eve and Clyde. (Took eve a walk to the beach on pur first day) Super friendly and definitely knowledge. Nikki is a amazing cook. Every meal was amazing. They Organised all our trips and we took there advice with rest day in-between, ware we chilled by the pool with refreshments even this was amazing comfortable loungers and the clean pool.. 4x4 off road adventure through local villages is a must...see the country as it once was. Paradise beach is stunning. I could go on and on a out the experience we had thanks to nikki and neil. Some pics added ..to many tho...

Welcome to the fabulous Folly Plantation with hilarious hosts Nikki and Neil. Away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to the beach and the *****. The charming en suite rooms are beautifully decorated and well equipped. Every room has allocated sunbeds and plenty of towels for the pool that is right outside. Nikki has a plethora of available accompanied excursions, always a well stocked cool box onboard and will tailor trips to her guests needs. A must do is the Gambia experience that visits local villages and beaches. Breakfast is a self service buffet of breads, fruit, eggs and lots of daily surprise items but all fresh and delicious. I'd recommend half board as the dinners served up in my 2 week stay were superb, all dietary requirements are catered for too. The cats and dogs are an absolute delight (take Dreamies) well behaved and their antics are guaranteed to raise a smile. I can't wait to go back next year just to relax, enjoy the peace and have the warmth of the hosts as well as the sun. Absolutely perfect.
