It feels like we are almost at the urban-rural fringe, but overall it is still okay, except that you still have to take a taxi to travel. There are also Chinese hot pot restaurants nearby.

Loved meeting and visiting with so many people from so many different places! We met people from Australia who are traveling all over the US and a woman from Texas, visiting her brother. Conversation during breakfast was a wonderful way to end our visit with our son and his family. That was the reason for our visit to Boston.

Knowing in advance what can be considered difects we enjoyed staying here! We had a suite with external bathroom outside our rooms 5-6 meters away on a common corridor ( 1st defect); third floor with no elevator ( 2nd defect); old wooden squeaky floors ( third defect). Breakfast good enough for being described as Continetal .

I've stayed at the Coolidge Corner at least seven times. I intend to keep going there when I'm in Boston as long as it stays in business. It's a nice well-run B&B without any problems I've ever seen, in a terrific location (I take the Green Line trolleys between central Boston and the Coolidge Corner stop, which is pretty fast and no hassle), and very pleasant looking, not like the dead atmosphere of typical hotel. I always get a room with shared bathroom. Sharing a bathroom has never been a problem, and it enables me to get a nice room for much cheaper than a room in even a bad hotel. The staff has always been helpful. My suggestion: make reservations at Barcelona in Brookline while staying there, and you can have a great meal too. The trolley just takes a few minutes from Coolidge Corner to Washington Square (where Barcelona is).

Beautiful house, beautiful rooms. We stayed in the Governors suite with my the kids and it was so cozy and picturesque for us, because we don’t have those kind of house in Italy, so we could feel the real Bostonian atmosphere. Just a little suggestion: I would have appreciated some more products in the breakfast, such as sliced bread and scrambled eggs.
