GGuest UserThis trip to Perth, I stayed in three hotels in total, and this one for 5 days was my favorite and offered the best value for money. The room wasn't huge, but it felt spacious. The staff were very polite. Initially, I thought they only provided two bottles of water daily, but then I found a card in the bathroom stating that guests could refill water on the first floor! We just didn't notice it earlier. There are many delicious and affordable restaurants nearby, and some beautiful buildings too. Plus, the free Red Cat bus to the city center is conveniently close. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

GGuest UserDon't use the showerhead directly, or the bathroom will turn into a pond. The service really needs improvement. They'll overcharge you if you don't check your bill. I booked two rooms for three nights through Trip.com, but they kept saying they couldn't find my reservation. On the first day, they said they couldn't find the third day's booking. On the second day, they said they only found one room's reservation. Since I booked separately, I had to reactivate my key card every day. The power in the room would cut out and come back on automatically, and the curtains would open and close suddenly, which really scared me. The room cleaning time varied each day, and they'd often forget to replenish water or take a very long time. Plus, no one answered the phone.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is quite good. There's a 'Cat Bus' stop right outside, and it's not far from the Mint. You can also walk to the pier and the Swan Bells, which is perfect for exploring the city. The room was clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay. The front desk service was also great; they held our luggage and even emailed us when our room was ready after cleaning. Highly recommend!

GGuest UserOk if you are using a taxi or uber, if you have a car be prepared to park quite far from the hotel. The room itself totally fine. Separate desk and eating table also a stove sink and microwave so you could cook yourself. Location was not great for finding dinner or breakfast. There was a cafe but not open when I left. Further up the road there was another cafe called Jacob’s larder this was open early. This location is good if you like to talk walks you can go up the stairs into kings park. The biggest negative was hard water scum on the shower screen and the ac unit which heated the room at midnight to the point that I was woken by it. Would I stay again, yes, is it my first choice in Perth, no, but I’ve definitely stayed at worse places.

KKelly.SWe recently stayed at Wonil Hotel for a weekend getaway with my toddler, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience overall. We arrived late in the evening and were advised at check-in that there was no parking available, despite the booking information stating that parking was available and no reservation was required. As a solo parent travelling with a young child and luggage, this created a very stressful start to our stay. It took us 4 trips up and down between the basement and the room, and no assistance was offered by staff at check in. Soon after we transferred our luggage to the room, around 9pm, I had to drive along Hackett Drive towards Matilda Bay Restaurant to search for street parking. As a parent travelling alone with a toddler, I did not feel comfortable leaving my car there overnight. I then had to carry my child and walk several hundred metres back to the hotel in the dark, which was quite upsetting and honestly made me feel unsafe. During our stay, I could also regularly hear staff chatting at reception and complaining about other guests, which did not feel professional or welcoming. The hotel itself is relatively new and the location is excellent — close to the foreshore, playgrounds, walking trails and restaurants — which was the main reason I chose it. However, the overall build quality and room presentation were disappointing. Our bathroom sink was leaking, and there were visible cracks and defects in the bench and fittings. Before booking, I genuinely thought this could become one of our regular weekend getaway spots because the location has so much potential. Unfortunately, after this experience, I would not feel comfortable returning as a solo parent travelling with a child again.

YYugetongI arrived at the airport in the evening and stayed one night nearby before picking up a rental car the next morning for a self-drive trip north. The hotel is close to the airport and offers a free shuttle bus, which is great! Service: You need to call the front desk for the shuttle after arriving, which was a bit of a challenge for my English listening skills, especially since the pick-up spot wasn't exactly as described online. Luckily, Perth Airport isn't too big. The next morning, I took the shuttle back to the airport to pick up my car, again for free. This is a huge plus in high-cost Australia 👍 Environment: The hotel is located by the highway, but the courtyard is quiet and clean. Hygiene: The windows in the room couldn't be opened, and there was a strong smell of cleaning solution that wouldn't dissipate. Other than that, everything else was fine.

FFarhanaZulWe had a wonderful stay at Oaks Perth Hotel, and the biggest highlight was definitely the location. It’s only about a 3-minute walk to Perth Underground Station, which connects directly to Perth Station, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city and travel to places like Fremantle and beyond. The hotel is also within walking distance of plenty of shopping, including Kmart, Woolworths, Sephora, and many other stores, so everything we needed was close by. As Muslim travellers, we also appreciated that there was a Malaysian restaurant serving halal food just a short walk away, along with several other halal dining options nearby. The room itself was comfortable, although it is a little dated. It was spacious enough for our family, and the largest room could comfortably accommodate up to six adults with one main bed and two sofa beds. The kids especially loved having their own little space in front of the TV. The pillows were very comfortable, and while our booking didn’t include housekeeping, it wasn’t an issue since we were only staying for a few days. My only suggestions for improvement would be to provide a sponge holder in the kitchenette and a little more dishwashing liquid, as only two small packets were provided. We also noticed that a few of the pots and some dishware still had stains on them, so a little more attention to the cleanliness of the kitchen utensils would make the stay even better. I didn’t manage to take many photos during our stay (just this one!), but I can say that the hotel’s listing photos are an accurate representation of the rooms. What you see is truly what you get, which we really appreciated. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The unbeatable location made getting around Perth so easy, and we’d definitely consider staying here again on our next visit.

The room was just okay, a little less impressive than what you'd find in a typical budget hotel in China, mainly because some of the furnishings felt a bit dated. It seemed like there was no free WiFi, so I had to use my mobile data. When I first entered the room, there was a strong musty smell, and the window only opened a crack. However, the air conditioning's heating worked well and warmed up the room quickly. Overall, the value for money is still pretty decent.
