I stayed at the hotel for only one night, but I wish I could have stayed for a bit longer to properly enjoy it.
I didn't have high expectations because of the mixed reviews online. However, when I arrived, what I found was friendly and helpful staff, and great rooms. I guess I really wasn't expecting much, so was impressed by everything. The room had everything I needed, even free water and coffee. I wish there was an iron in the hotel though, but not all hotels have irons in the rooms, understandable.
The shower had a ”water spent” device installed onto it which gave me anxiety because I realised I spent too much water just by trying to figure how the shower works (which one is hot/cold? etc).
I liked the vibe of the hotel bar, and loved that the hotel's front garden was closed at night, only way in was by using your room key, which I guess is for safety reasons.
Wish I had enough time to swim in the pool, it looked very clean. The bar had a wonderful vibe.
The lifts are a bit confusing and very slow for year 2024. But I'm not sure that can be fixed without a massive investment. Would make the guests a lot happier though.
Overall, I would use this hotel again for my next stay in Florence. And that says something, because I usually like to change hotels and don't tend to stay at the same place twice.

We stayed for three nights and here's our experience for your reference.
Disadvantages:
1. When checking in, although there was a POS machine at the reception, they insisted that we pay the city tax in cash instead of using a bank card. This is the only hotel among all the European hotels I've stayed at that has such a requirement. However, we eventually paid with a bank card when checking out.
2. The room facilities are very basic.The bed next to the window felt drafty and very cold, and the air conditioner made a lot of noise.
3. There was a foul smell when we entered the room, and the sound insulation was very poor. It was very noisy in the morning when someone was cleaning the corridor.
4. The Wi-Fi signal in our room was very weak.
Advantages:

2. Room service is great.
3. The staff have a good attitude.

Room and bathroom were very clean. I really liked the small storage space beside the bed, especially since I was on the top bunk. Location was great — about a 20-minute walk to the city center, with lots of cafés and restaurants along the way. There’s also a supermarket just a minute walk away, which was super convenient. Only downside was the long queue during check-in, but overall a great stay. Highly recommend

A very satisfying hotel. It is five minutes away from Florence Railway Station. It is very safe. This is a hotel with a beautiful lobby. The rooms retain the old window switches, which are quite interesting. This time I was given a large suite. The middle door was locked to become two suites. I was a little concerned about it. Fortunately, the neighbors were relatively quiet (it is better to talk to the front desk to avoid such a room). The restaurant of this hotel is in an excellent location. You can see the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore every breakfast. When the weather is good, the Tuscan ridges in the distance can be clearly seen. The breakfast does not change much every day, but the variety is OK. The hotel's room service and restaurant service are first-class!

The location is perfect, but please be mindful as the hotel in inside the city centre you can't have high hopes regarding the room.
The room very pretty average as compared to other B&B properties in Europe.
Breakfast was really good and parking is not available on site.
The receptionist in the evening and morning were really kind and helpful.
If you planing a tour to Florence without car then this is the place to stay and If you planing with car then look for hotels outside city.

The hotel is in a good location, very close to Santa Maria del Fiore and the train station. If you arrive early, you can store your luggage for free. The service is very good. The breakfast is good. You can eat on the balcony and see the beautiful roof of the Cathedral of Fiore. The bathroom is very large, but the shower water easily flows out to the ground.

I booked and used the hotel in advance for one night only.
The location and cleanliness of the hotel was perfect.
The quality of the front desk staff varied.
The person who was on duty on the morning of April 10 was very courteous and helpful.
On April 10 at 21:00, when I returned to the hotel,
I greeted the staff at the front desk in Italian at the person to the right of the front desk at from the entrance said ”Ai-ya” to me.
I'm Asian and not all Asians speak Chinese.
I don't know why he had to say that word or what it means.
The person who worked there in the morning was very polite.
I was disappointed and felt uncomfortable.
If you are going to work at the front desk, it would be better to hire educated people.

This hotel we booked on short notice was such a pleasant surprise. The whole hotel is like a big manor, it feels like traveling back in time and living in a palace. We initially booked a suite with a garden, but because the duplex was inconvenient, we later changed to a villa suite. We had to book a villa suite, it was so beautiful and different. Although the room change cost an extra 100 euros, it was worth it!

GGuest UserThe hotel is newly opened, and the overall situation is good. The location is also good, in a quiet neighborhood, and the attractions can be reached on foot. The breakfast is Western style, and the waiters are very enthusiastic. I like the breakfast time in the morning. There is a Chinese restaurant opposite the hotel, and the Chinese stomach is not afraid of acclimatization.

GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located near the central station. But the street is too narrow and noisy when there were traffic. The staff are not friendly nor helpful. The only time you feel you are welcome was you booked tours through them. The breakfast room is small and in the basement. There is no view throughout the whole hotel.

WWanderlust SuA very updated hotel with a unique shower as shown in picture. It is conveniently located. Outside our room was a view of the tram station. We did not take it because the hotel is just a 10 minute walk to the city centre. We loved the breakfast as there was a pancake making machine.

MMarcos 305Villa Tortorelli is a charming mix between a bed-and-breakfast and a hotel. My experience here was mostly positive, and while there were a few minor issues, I could tell that the staff genuinely does their best to run the villa as smoothly as possible.
Check-in & First Impressions
The first thing to note is that the villa is designed to work with automated check-in processes, which is great for most travelers. However, it could be better explained to future guests to avoid any confusion. Not everyone will have a working phone or data plan when they arrive in Italy, and it’s important for the villa to have a backup plan in case guests are unable to connect.
One simple suggestion would be to provide Wi-Fi access at the entrance of the villa and share the network name and password with guests before their arrival. This would make it easier for everyone to access the automated system without any issues.
Room & Comfort
I stayed in the Deluxe Suite, located on the first floor of a three-story villa, right next to the breakfast room. At first, I was concerned about noise, but the thick, heavy door completely blocked any sounds from the breakfast area. I never heard a thing in the morning.
The room has blackout curtains that provide great privacy and darkness, which I really appreciated. The bathroom was newly renovated with luxury finishes, including stone walls that give it a high-end feel. The room was clean, and the daily housekeeping service kept everything spotless, with fresh towels replaced daily.
One of the standout features of Villa Tortorelli is Karen, the person in charge of breakfast service and housekeeping. She is incredibly attentive and hardworking. She ensures that guests are well taken care of, and the breakfast is always well-prepared and served hot. Honestly, if they lose Karen, the villa would lose two stars in reviews. She is one of their greatest assets.
Breakfast Experience
The breakfast service was excellent. The food is prepared fresh every morning, and Karen makes sure there is always a variety of hot and cold options available. The breakfast room is cozy and inviting, with plenty of choices to start your day off right.
The Villa’s Atmosphere & Location
The villa is peaceful and surrounded by greenery, making it a relaxing place to stay. It’s also within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions in Florence, which makes it very convenient for exploring the city.
One Minor Issue
The only negative point during my stay was that the room felt quite cold when I first arrived. However, I reached out to the WhatsApp help service, and the heating system was adjusted quickly. Within a short time, the room felt much warmer and more comfortable.
Final Thoughts
Overall, Villa Tortorelli is a great option for those looking for a peaceful, well-located stay in Florence. The automated check-in system could use some improvement to avoid any potential issues for guests without a data plan, but aside from that, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff is very attentive.
Would I stay here again? Yes, especially for Karen’s service and the peaceful villa atmosphere!

But there are many restaurants nearby, and there are many choices. The hotel service attitude is good but just... slow. The room is very spacious, especially the bathroom. The bedding and bath products are very comfortable, and the most important thing is that they are new! Everything is very new, so it is very comfortable to live in. Although it is a renovated 200-year-old house, it is very bright and the windows are equipped with two layers of double-layer soundproof glass. It is quiet... isolated from the world. The breakfast selection is quite rich, but it costs 35 euros to buy it separately, which is a bit cost-effective.

GGuest UserIt's in a great location, 7 minutes from the station and 10 minutes from the Ufutzii Museum, but it was hard to find because there was no hotel sign! I was standing 10 meters away, but I couldn't find it even after walking back and forth, so I asked a nearby hotel staff member, who pointed to a small door and said, ”It's right there.” I pressed the intercom, had it opened, went up to the third floor, and finally checked in. The room was cute, and when I told them I was leaving early in the morning, they were flexible and said, ”I can make breakfast at the breakfast shop and have it delivered the day before.” There was a shower, a refrigerator, and bottled water for the bed. If you leave the room and go up one level, there is a shared terrace with a view of the roofs of the ancient city. If the check-in goes smoothly, it's a great place to stay.

AAlexandraSHotel overall is okay for a 3 star. Employees were always friendly. Free parking and if full, hotel as a old garage underneath which it was where we parked. Breakfast was okay also for a 3 star hotel.
Amenities nothing to be honest, on our room we had some stuff broken also… could get some refurbishment. And also, it is not a queen bed, it was two single beds close to each other… with no top mattress anything…
