I recently stayed at Springhill Suites and, unfortunately, had an extremely unpleasant experience. During my stay from July 5 -9, I discovered bedbugs in my room. Despite the hotel's appealing amenities and convenient location, finding bedbugs on the day I was checking out significantly overshadowed any positives. I promptly reported the issue to the front desk, but the response was inadequate. There was no immediate offer to assist me or provide any form of compensation. What was stated was we will have pest control take a look at it on the 10th and get back to you. We checked out on the 9th at 5:30 am, and by 4 pm that afternoon, there were new guests in both rooms. When I asked the manager, Lyndsay Barnhart, why the rooms were reoccupied after I had shown her our bites and provided pictures and videos of the bedbugs, she claimed to have inspected the rooms and found no signs of bedbugs. However, earlier in the day, I had been informed that pest control would be inspecting the rooms the next day. I booked two rooms for myself and my kids, and we all ended up with bites from bedbugs in both rooms. Dealing with bedbugs not only ruined our stay but also caused significant inconvenience and stress, as I had to ensure our belongings were free from infestation upon returning home. I urge the hotel management to address this serious issue promptly and take the necessary measures to prevent future occurrences. For now, or in the future I cannot recommend staying at this hotel until they resolve their bedbug problem.
