"Stayed here so many times luv the place it's like returning to a old friends place..this time 6floor lift down button not working...so usually went up b4 u come down. As regulars call lift roulette..just add a min/2 to journey. Reception/bar area ,great to see the same people still doing what they have done for years .and also same guests that you've met in the past. Still good value €3 a pint. In a hotel in ski resort. Food as standard in restaurant.. It like marmite, some luv it, some loathe it.. and 3xs toaster .those who know, know. Location is fabulous. Just midway on road opposite gondola. So easy to top of mountain. Hotel has a lot to offer air gun range, 10 pin bowling, table tennis, massive swimming poole saunas, and parking. Ski storage at bottom of hotel.. Stay and join the WE ❤️ SAMOKOV HOTEL!"

"I stayed here with family & friends for skiing in nearby Borovets. Staff were very friendly & helpful and it was a very peaceful quiet area. Our cabin was basic, but clean & cosy. There was an endless supply of piping hot water, plenty of towels provided and all linens changed half way through the week. Kitchen utensils are very sparse- I will bring stackable camping pans & some bowls next time. Snacks + 1 or 2 pasta dinners are manageable but not comfortable for self catering every meal. We had 1 or 2 breakfasts and evening meals in the restaurant but for variety also ate in the village. The non-skier in our group used the fitness centre & sauna during the day and could walk to Borovets for apres ski. There are plenty of taxi drivers around Borovets for evenings in the village, but I found the fare is a bit too expensive to use them every day (€10 each journey in Feb 2026). The teens in my group would have liked stronger wifi."

"Stayed with a group of 8 adults across 4 rooms for a ski trip. Rooms were modern, clean and comfortable having recently benefited from a refurb, albeit very small. We had breakfast included in our rate, which was cooked fresh to order. This was basic, but when combined with a freshly ground coffee was a good start to the day! We enjoyed the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi too, although the floor around the jacuzzi was very icy and slippery.. not that they could do much about that! Location wise, Breza couldn’t be much better! It’s about 5 minute from the Rila/chair left side and 3 mins from the Gondola. We got a great rate by booking early and this is reflective in my review. I think if I’d paid £100+ a night it would score lower. Staff were friendly, but spoke minimal English."

"Great week skiing as a couple in our early 20s. We chose this hotel as we had stayed in Bansko Hotel Lion and loved it so wanted to try here. Large and warm room on top floor. Food was excellent throughout our stay, so many options to choose from. Pancakes at breakfast were . Plenty of tea , coffee and juices as-well. Staff were all nice and friendly, specially the bus drivers and waitresses at dinner. Quiet and peaceful at night (needed after a full day of skiing). We personally didn’t use spa or pool but heard good things about it. Gym was small but useful on bad weather days which we only had once. Overall a great hotel, would highly recommend."
