I requested a single bed since only the standard two-bed room was available, and they gave me a room with a daybed near the back door. There was no window, and the wall with the exit was entirely made of glass. If I pulled down the blackout curtains, I could see people passing by in the hallway. So, I never pulled the blackout curtains. Even if I turned off the air conditioner, they would turn it back on after reorganizing the room, so the room was cold. The bathroom was clean, which was nice, but the room got too damp if I left the door open. The refrigerator was so noisy that I had to turn it off. The soundproofing wasn't great, and the sound of luggage being dragged around in the hallway was incredibly loud. The curtains were so thick that if they weren't closed properly, you could see right through them. They warned me to be careful of towel and sheet stains, but there were no major issues. I felt like I booked a cheap place for a high price because I made a reservation in a hurry.

Family holiday, revisiting. I like the easy access to the front beach, the fun pool area their buffet but among others their chocolate cake that my youngest daughter likes.
A thumbs up to Astoria for the upgrade to the pool view room. A big thank you. The staff provide amazing services.

Overall a good experience. The staff is polite,respectful and very helpful. The location is of advantage as you can explore along the beach. The downside was the number of vegetarian food option on the breakfast menu, also they didn't put any chairs on the beach while many hotels further has done that Inspite of the weather. I loved how they welcomed us with a pastry, super tasty drink and a free massage. I would give the staff a 100 points.
