La Carmela de Boracay Hotel

Breakfast buffet services was excellent ( we love foodies). NEED IMPROVEMENT on the ff.: Linen, bath towels (old) and House keeping Service. But still I recommend this resort.

Had a wonderful 1-night stay at La Carmela de Boracay! Even though it was a short trip, I got some amazing rest. I slept for three hours right after checking in and another solid eight hours at night because the bed was so comfortable.The room was very clean, and all the amenities—the air conditioner, TV, and refrigerator—were working perfectly. I also loved that the room had its own private terrace and even included a Bible. While I didn't get a chance to try the pool, the hotel’s location is excellent since it is just a short walk to the beach. Highly recommended for a comfortable and relaxing stay! +++: location, wonderful people. There are many downsides: the windows and doors don't close tightly, which means you can hear a lot from the street and the hallway in your room; there are a lot of people in the dining room, queues; the food is very mediocre, not tasty; we didn't go there more than once. It's very uncomfortable to eat there. You always have to ask for your room to be cleaned, otherwise they won't clean it; l've never encountered this before. The air conditioner is noisy; the room will never be quiet.

Our family vacation proved exceptional. The accommodation maintained immaculate cleanliness throughout, featuring top-tier amenities paired with outstanding hospitality. While its location is simply decent, this superb overall experience ensured a wonderful getaway.

I like the breakfast but they should update the taste . but the service are superb, free water

The hotel is the best spot near the beach , near the restaurant and has swimming pools.

Stayed here for 2 nights as a solo traveller. To be fair they assigned me a room from the Main Wing as I requested. I got a spacious room with 2 single beds, cable TV, working AC, mini fridge. The Room itself is clean. The bed and pillows are comfy and do not smell. Not enough cabinets though or place to hang your clean clothes. Safety features like smoke detectors, sprinklers, double locks, safety vault, emergency exits are there. Included breakfast is filling. No restrictions as to how much you can get so if you are the kind who likes big breakfast then you will enjoy it. The bathroom is a separate beast altogether and this is where they need to improve on if they want to get repeat guests. Toilet and bidet works. The sink is just fine - no hot/cold faucet. I don't think the shower had a working heater (?) But what took away what could have been a perfect experience was the smell of molding (perhaps in the grout between the tiles?) The odor was just too notable when you open the door to the bathroom and I have allergic rhinitis that can be easily triggered by things like this. To be fair, they did try to spray it with air freshner when I raised it to frontdesk. IF by some chance other newer guests can attest that this has been resolved then I might consider booking again at La Carmela. Now for those na hindi gaanong maarte sa CR, maybe just bring a diffuser or a small Lysol if ever you book this place. It is a cheaper option for a beachfront property but I really hope that mold/kulob odor in the bathroom gets fixed. LCDB staff are nice and helpful. It's probably one of the saving graces of the property.
