The breakfast was good and satisfying. However, I did feel a bit uncomfortable with the room decor. The posters of stamps from the British protectorate era, Nyasaland, were a bit unsettling for me. It would be great if the hotel could consider updating the room decor to reflect a more modern and inclusive atmosphere. Overall, I had a good stay and would recommend this hotel for its excellent facilities, services, and food."

"This was our 4th visit with a fairly large group of 22 faculty and University students. Accommodations continue to improve. The new buildings are fantastic with balconies facing west and great views. We arranged for dinners and box lunches which permitted great efficiency as our teams visited hospitals, clinics and university facilities at Malawi University for Science and Technology. The chef created a wide variety of affordable good food. We could not be happier with the manager, Chikondi, and her most gracious staff. We look forward to our 5th visit later this year!"

"I really enjoyed my stay here and would stay again. Staff are friendly and responsive by email. I got an airport pickup for $30. The room and bathroom were very spacious and even came with a tub! The breakfast is an extensive buffet—not to my taste but I think the locals like it. As for clean food, you can get fresh fruit, coffee with milk, nuts, cucumber and boiled egg. There’s a nice lobby where you can hang out and charge your phone. There is a restaurant inside the hotel but I didn’t eat there. There is an ATM right outside the hotel and inside the mall. I had a room that faced the back side with a lovely view of trees and some urban maize fields. Room had AC and lots of light too."

"The place used to be nice but has deteriorated at an alarming rate. They buy soap and tissue when you check in. Breakfast is the same - fried chips and eggs with bread. Toilets in some rooms smell. They rarely serve dinner. I had huge ants in my room, competing with mosquitoes and roaches. The only positive is the staff are friendly."
