Good location, good hospitality, if you want to feel a genuine japanese style country side family style onsen, good choice

The staff are friendly but they know a little English, making them barely able to communicate with guests not knowing Japanese. Foods are great with characteristic and tasty dishes. The onsen is great too. Yet, the facilities inside the room are not okay. TV is not working and there is no switch found for the lamp of the bedroom. Besides, it caused us inconvenience as we were first wrongly led to a bigger room with one of its doors not yet readily installed, and we then had to move to another smaller one upstairs when we did not want to pay extra money for the room first assigned.

I really recommend this place!! The owner is so kind and the food is so delicious!! It's also great for sightseeing because the shrine and Jigoku Onsen are nearby!! Above all, the price is so cheap that you'll wonder, 'Do you have anything left over after giving this much?'!! If I get the chance, I want to go back and it's a place I can confidently recommend to someone!!!

I had a great time~ It's good for experiencing the traditional tatami room They say it smells, but it's an unavoidable smell from an old house. It's not a bad smell.

When making a reservation, there was a big difference between the exterior photo and the actual exterior, but it was understandable because it was an old country house. After checking in, I was assigned a large room, and the interior looked clean because it had been remodeled, and the tatami mats looked newly laid, but the hair and dust on the floor seemed to have hardly been cleaned. I felt so uncomfortable that I even cleaned it myself. Dinner was a delicious feast, the hot spring was nice and cozy, and they even prepared a bed for me, so it was comfortable. The next morning, they also prepared a delicious breakfast and kept my luggage until the time I used Hyotan Hot Springs. Everything was good, but the cleaning was disappointing.

The location is convenient. If you drive here, you need to ask the store to lead you to a restricted hot spring hotel at the back. I booked two meals and one night (the store provides extra charges for eating in the room). I ate in a public space at the entrance. There are many kinds of food and the portions are not small. I like their homemade plum wine. There is a private bath, which will be randomly divided by gender. It is really comfortable after soaking. The room space is quite compact.

The location was great for walking and shopping because it was near Kirin Lake, and the various baths that could be used freely in the accommodation, the free drink vending machine, and the draft beer were great. The meal was also luxurious and carefully prepared for Japanese home cooking, making it one of the most memorable meals. I would like to visit Yufuin again just because of this accommodation. I recommend it!

Staying in a traditional Japanese house and ryokan. Kaiseki food I liked everything. The facilities were connected to the main building (2nd floor) and the new building 1st floor A small open-air bath (2~3 people) 1 male and 1 female/Indoor bath is in operation, but I didn't use the indoor bath so I don't know, and the open-air bath was very small, but there was no lack of things to enjoy the open-air bath, and I stayed on the 2nd floor of the main building, and the stairs were steep, so it was not inconvenient except for moving a large suitcase. There were 2 small hell hot spring tourist attractions within 10~10 minutes' walk, so I was able to tour them (I had to go up a little hill). There were 2 free foot baths right around the accommodation and very cheap paid foot baths. I visited the accommodation using a rental car. Parking was available, and there was a bus terminal 5 minutes away, so I could go without a rental car or a pick-up service. Kaiseki cuisine was very attentive, with raw fish, sushi, steamed food, small soup, and dessert. Breakfast was also very clean and delicious. Since the food was served in the room, I was able to eat individually, which was convenient. However, since it was an old house, there were traces of time here and there, and water flowed on the toilet floor, but it was not a problem to use. It was a little more simple and not fancy than the Yufuin area, but it was enough to enjoy a Japanese-style accommodation at a good price.

Everyone was friendly and spoke English very well, so I was able to ask questions comfortably, and dinner and breakfast were so good that I felt like I could taste Japanese food in just the first day. There are both bath-like hot springs and open-air bath-like hot springs. The condition of the room was also very clean and good. The blanket was so soft it was very comfortable and nice. I definitely want to visit again if I get the chance.

I'm satisfied with the value for money

Замечательный рёкан прямо в центре района Каннава. При заселении нам предложили апгрейд (брали самый дешевый номер) за деньги, согласились. После заселения переоделись в юкаты, но хозяйка решила, что обычная юката для жены слишком велика и достала другую, которую, вместе с поясом, красиво надела на жену. Очень благодарны за это. Кайсаки был очень приятный (две фото кайсеки, еще одно - с яичницей - завтрак). И то и то ели в номере. Онсенов 4 штуки - два внутренних (не ходили), два внешних (очень красивых). Мы забронировали один из внешних на час после ужина. Вода в онсен затекает очень горячая (98 градусов), ее надо периодически перемешивать и разбавлять холодной водой, если слишком жарко. В целом очень приличный рёкан, нам понравилось.
