Good comfort, as in general with Ibis, here with the plus of the spacious room for French standars and of the swimming pool.

For the fourth time, we visited La Ferme aux Vins, and as usual, it was excellent. This is an Ibis hotel, but not like a typical Ibis. Nice rooms, friendly people, and a great restaurant. There’s a charging station for electric cars at the hotel. One of our regular stopovers.

Hotel is close to the motorway so ideal for an overnight stay when travelling. It’s also an easy walk to the town centre. Only issue we had was with the restaurant. We’ve always on arrival been asked at an Ibis whether we want to book a table in the restaurant but weren’t this time. When we went to the restaurant itself to try to book, along with another couple we were what seemed to be deliberately kept waiting for almost 5 minutes while the manager messed about, only to be told it was fully booked. Manager’s attitude could have been more pleasant.

The reception was friendly and efficient, her English excellent, she was charming.

We enjoyed our overnight stop in a Confort room. Staff were helpful and cleanliness was the order of the day. Our evening meal was delicious - we had the three course menu for E32 - well worth it. Rooms a little tired perhaps but it doesn’t pretend to be a luxury hotel. Great, secure parking. Great wine cellar as you would expect in Beaune. Quiet sleep, comfy bed, good TV. We were impressed by breakfast as, unlike a lot of French hotels, the flow made sense: knives, forks, spoons, plates, bowls, cereal, etc all at the start of the buffet. Scrambled eggs and crispy bacon were plentiful. We were pleased with our stay and will return next week on our way home.

Breakfast was very poor. Flies on cheese. Eggs very soggy and bacon was burned. There was a wedding so parking was difficult to find. On the plus side, room was clean and quiet.
