"1. Noise - not really good have sound proof 2. Lighting - not bright enough as quite old hotel 3. Cleanliness - Not that bad but some of the towel need to change - Bath tub need to do something as some of it ready have stain 4. Aircond - Same Celsius for afternoon dun feel the Aircond at all - Afternoon quite suffocated (ald call counter and inform) 5. Staff - Superb friendly"

"The hotel was the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. The surroundings were stunning, and we enjoyed our time at the hotel. We were delighted by the large pool facing the beach. We could just walk right to the beach after taking a dip in the pool. The staffs were very pleasant. They were welcoming and accommodating. The housekeeping staff was efficient and attentive. Everyone was caring about our needs to ensure that we were enjoying our stay."

"There are not many resorts in the mainland. It’s a good compromise for balance a bit of everything. Going to downtown, visit remote places, and his land hopping. The sunset is nice for the hotel. A key point is that you can use this hotel facility + the sport center facilities + the Magellan hotel facilities. Downside. U can’t order food with Grab, as you will need to walk about 10-12 minutes to go take it down the road to the guard spot (third photo). What it could be improved: 1. The SPA price is out of range. 2. Family Night time activities. The only activity/bar is on the top floor which doesn’t allow kid below 18 YO."

"My stay at the resort was not as smooth as i hoped, i did have some issues as the resort clearly requires a lot of attention in terms of maintenance. The issues i faced were addressed promptly by Mr Jakil who has the knowledge and competence to address many of the issues the resort is facing. As i have more than 15 years of management experience, i know talent when i see it and i believe Mr Jakil has it and should be given more responsibility and authority in the hotel to raise the quality and standards."

"What’s a pity the seaside was under construction. But the whole place looks really great. Will visit again soon! Here some advices for better experience during stay: 1. Please do maintenance for “drain block up issue”regularly.🧐 2. Should notice the area under construction before customer checking in. 3. Set an intercom for better services."

"This resort has nice seaview but very small area of beach that allowed you to play. Decided to stay at Sutera Harbour instead of Shangrila because of the bouncy castle at the pool. However, the bouncy castle is not operating all the time; attached the operation time for reference. Further, on the first day of arrival, the bouncy castle was not operating from 4pm - 6pm. On d second day, it was also not operating during 12pm - 2pm. So it was a big disappointment. Luckily, my boy got to play from 4pm - 6pm. Checked in is slow but staffs are friendly. Notice that there are many Chinese tourists staying in the hotel however all the staffs that i encountered do not speak Chinese at all. I wonder why the hotel do not employ staff that be able to speak Chinese since there are so many Chinese tourists staying. Hotel provides shuttle to shopping malls and city centre which is very convenient."

"I visited the hotel with my parents, my wife and my daughter. We stayed for four nights, checking in on 3rd May and checked out on the 7th. This is actually my second time visiting this hotel, the first time being 30 years ago, again with my parents. I had great memories as a kid so I was looking forward to this trip. The First night was great, had dinner at Coco Joe's and rested after a long trip. The Second day was fantastic, breakfast and dinner and Cafe Tutu, met a lovely dining lady named Rohana. During the day, we enjoyed the great activities of the Leisure Center. Friendly staff from there made the experience children friendly. And the icing of the dessert - the sunset parade, Jamie loves it. Housekeeping did a surprise heartwarming job, covering the lion doll of my daughter with a little towel on the pillow, very cute and thoughtful move. The Third Day we went out to town so didn't stay much time in the hotel. The Fourth Day, was quite disappointing to be honest. Housekeeping did not arrive in the morning when we were out playing at the pool. I understand as there are many rooms to take care of. We went back to the room to rest between 2-4pm, switch on the ”Do not disturb” button, and somehow housekeeping team arrived so they put a card to say they could not clean as we put up the do not disturb button. Fair enough, but again, there was five hours in the morning which they could clean the room. Leaving the room again at 4pm for activities, I called service center for housekeeping, switched off the ”Do not disturb” button and went out. We returned at 7:45pm, still there was no housekeeping. Frustrated, I called the service center again requesting for housekeeping, they replied they will check and follow up with housekeeping. Half an hour later, still no one turned up. Extremely irritated, I called service center for housekeeping again. This time, housekeeping finally arrived but our whole family were waiting for clean towels to have shower. VERY disappointing with the effecitivness of housekeeping and service center on this incident. On that very same day, I discovered a big crockcroach in the toilet, so I do have a big quetion mark on the housekeeping of this hotel. The day was worsen when we had dinner at Coco Joe's, where we wait for nearly an hour (from 6pm to 6:53pm) before we get all our food served. I did complain it to the manager when he came by, which he did apologise and waived our dining fee. Despite my disgrunt towards the long waiting time of the dishes, I would like to give credit on the manager (I think his name is Mr Kan?) in terms of how he managed the complaint. Overall, the experience is mixed. With friendly staff at leisure center + Cafe Tutu, good food but unreasonably long waiting time at Coco Joe's, and disappointing housekeeping after the heartwarming performance on the second day. The hardware of the hotel is great (view, pool design, restaurant seating) but our experience was mainly affected by the staff. On this ocassions, I would like to give commendation to the following staff: Rohana, Majid (both from Cafe Tutu), all staff from Leisure Centre (especially the two ladies and two gentleman hosting water polo and volleyball respectively), and Kan from Coco Joe's on complaint management. Please keep up on the good work you already have, and work hard on things that requires improvement:)"

"Rooms are clean. Room is nice and spacious. Facilities like the gym and pool are sufficient. Buffet breakfast was as expected as well. Basically a you pay for what you get kind of place. If you’re the type of traveler that likes to enjoy the hotel amenities and just chill there then this is a good place to go to. Has a very nice Chinese seafood restaurant located behind the hotel. Also for supper you could head to the fried chicken fast food restaurant behind the hotel too which is open 24 hours. Parking is free for guests who are staying."

"We had a good family bonding time at Shangri La Rasa Ria. There were lots of activities catering to various types of travelers. The beach was long with fine sand, and the sunset view was excellent. There were also game rooms when the sun gets too hot or when it rains."
