Great hostel, short walk to the beach and we saw lots of red frogs plus a sloth in the garden. Staff brilliant, full of good information and really helpful. Food generally nice and for panama not too expensive even though there are so few other food options. Nice bar with happy hour. They have free meditation in the morning plus some yoga classes for a small fee which are really good. An excellent choice in boco

Liebe Alle Wir (Medels) haben uns wahnsinnig auf die Insel Bastimentos und das Selina Hotel gefreut. Bei unserer Ankunft schien noch alles gut zu sein, durften sogar einen Welcome Drink geniessen, reisen nun mit einem enttäuschten Gefühl ab. Es begann mit der Gemeinschaftsküche, die richtig heruntergekommen ist, keine ausreichende Ausstattung bietet für die Gäste die Sie nutzen möchten. Das Yoga worauf wir uns ebenfalls gefreut haben, mussten wir feststellen, dass jede Yogamatte schmutzig war und stinkte, es gab keine Möglichkeit Sie zu reinigen/desinfizieren. Wir hatten 1x im Selina zu Abend gegessen. Der Hummus war geschmacklos, das Curry war bitter. Der Manager fragte nach und ich gad Ihm meine Rückmeldung wobei keine grosse Reaktion von Ihm folgte. Unser Zimmer wurde am nächsten Tag auch vergessen zu putzen. Am letzten Tag haben wir SUPs gemietet für 2h. Kurz vor 12:00 Uhr waren wir auf dem Wasser und um kurz vor 14:00 Uhr wieder draussen. Die Zeit für die Vorbereitung (Transport und Rückweg) wurde uns im Nachhinein vom Israelischen Manager verrechnet. Morgens zum Kaffee bestellen war immer eine Schlange zum Anstehen bei der Bar/Rezeption/Frühstückstecke, da nur ein Angestellter hinter dem Tresen stand obwohl zusätzlich Volenteers vor Ort waren. Wir möchten aber dem netten Mitarbeiter mit den Thread Locks für seine Arbeit danken, er ist sehr bemüht das die Gäste zufrieden sind, wir würden das Selina in Bastimentos jedoch nicht weiterempfehlen.

Pésimo servicio al cliente, sentimos que no querían que estuviésemos ahí. No supimos el nombre se nadie. Para alguien que se dedica al turismo y servicio al cliente me pareció mínimo el esfuerzo por crear una experiencia acogedora. Si vas a la playa no hay donde sentarse o dejar tus cosas pues las sillas disponibles son de otro hotel. La comida poco variadas y muy caras. Nunca nos limpiaron la habitación y la misma caricia de jabón y papel higiénico suficiente para 4 personas. El supuesto encargado me alquilo un equipo de snorkeling (caro), pero prácticamente no hay un lugar cercano donde se pueda hacer y eso no te lo dicen. Nadie te recibe al llegar solo vas y te dan tu llave. La cocina comunal fue la opción más rentable sin embargo carece de mucho higiene y nos usaron unos tomates qué habíamos comprado. La piscina luce terrible y siempre se ve sucia, en definitiva no es lo que esperaba y no la usamos por lo mismo. El sendero hacia la playa esta super descuidado. Y podría seguir poniendo detalles pero prefiero dejarlo así.

Nice helpful stuff. Perfect location in the jungle. We saw sloth, red frogs and Kapuziner monkeys near by. Beach is just 5min. walk through the nice jungle. Food is okay, little pricy. But don’t forget that it’s a remote island! Movieroom is very nice!

I understand the need to preserve water but having water available for only 4 and a half hours a day is not acceptable for me (especially with a two year old daughter) and guests should be informed at the time of booking so they can decide if they are interested in being subject to To this. The pool is small, which would be acceptable if it weren't so dirty. Breakfast was very expensive for the quality or I was unlucky and my two pancakes were almost burnt.

The huts are very good but you have to ask for cleaning... It's a shame that our stay ended due to an organizational problem with the Bar Hotel payment. This could be reported at reception upon arrival, whether these are two different payments. This made us lose an hour and miss our boat to reach the airport. But it was arranged and credited back to my credit card after a discussion. Pleasant staff but can be a problem in the morning for the breakfast service. But for the setting we would give it a 9/10 even if you have to walk 10 minutes in the middle of the jungle to get to the beach. We were allowed to be accompanied by little monkeys.
