Barceló Sants

I book the room specifically stated request for twin beds, but upon arrival the front desk insisted that there was NO such request and don’t have a twin bed available even I arrived much earlier than check-in time. The front desk manager said will arrange for a change the next day but come the next day cannot be done. This is the issue of integrity of how much the hotel can fulfil their duty of a trusted hotel in their booking system and follow up to rectify any issues.

The hotel theme is a little corny with space, orbit. Conveniently located above train station. Easy for interstate traveling. Rooms are small . Breakfast is ok. A very busy and high traffic hotel.

I have been traveling Europe from June 28 to August 28. 2 months on the road,Barcelona,Majorca,France,Germany,Czech Republic,Austria,Sardinia,Rome. Throughout this trip,By far this hotel ,Barcelo sants,was the worst…we had excellent amazing experiences,some no so good but Barceló sants was the worst ever. If like me you travel with a special need son or a non ambulatory person,Barcelo sants is a dangerous option and I mean it. The first room had a horrible smell, The second,the shower was clogged,flooding the bathroom floor and worst the seat fell apart when I tried to seat my son on. It was a very dangerous situation.I had to wash my son laying on the flooded shower floor and broke my back lifting him from the ground to his chair.My son is 170lbs,lifting him up from a wet floor was truly very painful and scary. At some point I ask for a chair to seat him and wash him but a maintenance guy with a plunger in the hand knocked at the door while my son was laying on the shower floor. I book this hotel,I call to make sure I get a PMR room so I can directly take the train to the airport the following day. This hotel is above the train station. Because of this situation,we were late too late to take the train and I had to rush in a cab to the airport and we finally check in 10 minutes before closing. It was a miracle we made it on time to catch our plane to nyc. What a stressful experience.again the worst in this 2 months trip and in fact SIMPLY THE WORST EVER. IF YOU NEED PMR ROOM BARCELO SANTS IS A DANGEREOUS OPTION IN BARCELONA Management doesn’t seem to understand how bad and dangerous is the situation. I showed them videos of the broken shower seat,the clogged shower,the broken tower hanger. Management is supposed to check rooms prior guest checking in. Management put my son and myself lifes at risk. I will not be surprised to hear a bad accident happened at Barcelo sants hotel in Barcelona.

Perfect location and it is just next to the train station ( within a few steps distance), good for business travellers especially. Lots of meeting rooms. The bathroom is specially designed for those elderly friendly or needs assistance

The hotel has good accessibility, cleanliness, and good friendliness of employees. I want to use this hotel, which is available for my next trip to Barcelona.

This hotel had the word resort in its name but they don’t have a swimming pool. Not that it’s important. It is right above the railway station. So very busy. The parking is expensive at 40 euros a night. But there are alternating parking nearby. The rooms are okay for 2 beds but the triple is the same size and the one sleeping in the middle had to slither out of bed.
