The hotel's design is excellent, with a vintage and refined feel. Staying here was a great experience, and even the room details were well-executed. 👍 The breakfast was generous in portion and variety, perhaps a bit too much, but I'd suggest making the flavors more localized to add a unique touch. For the coffee beans, a better quality selection would be appreciated. The staff, though young, were responsive and patient. Overall, this hotel provided a much better experience than the newest five-star hotel I stayed at in Shantou last time. I've already recommended it to several friends! 😊

Stumbled upon this guesthouse online and decided to check it out before the May Day holiday rush. I was initially worried it might be a 'seller's show' (looks better in pictures than in real life), but it turned out to be 100% accurate to what was posted! Overall, a great experience. **Environment:** The guesthouse is set up like an estate, offering good privacy, so you're not disturbed by non-hotel guests or road noise. **Facilities:** The infinity pool in the room seems to circulate filtered seawater, which was very clean. It's perfect for taking photos at night when the lights are on, but it does shut off at 12 AM. There's also an outdoor pool on the first floor facing the sea. The minibar and fridge drinks in the room are complimentary, and all the amenities are of good quality. **Service:** The hotel staff were incredibly attentive. Right after booking, I immediately received a call from the owner. After adding them on WeChat, they confirmed my arrival time and whether I wanted the pool pre-filled, etc. Throughout my stay, I felt that all the staff had a great attitude. This is also a pet-friendly establishment. If you bring a pet, they provide a pet amenities kit with pee pads, diapers, disposable bowls, chew toys like Boryeongdan, and more. I brought my own dog bed, and they mentioned they also offer small beds. However, there's an additional cleaning fee for pets, which I didn't see on the booking page and only found out about upon arrival.

The room was great, with 270-degree sea views from the floor-to-ceiling windows. It was clean and hygienic, with no strange odors. However, housekeeping was often quite late; we'd often come back from being out and the room still hadn't been cleaned, so we frequently had to remind them. Also, there was a fishy smell from a trash can in the hallway that wasn't dealt with for two days, but it was quickly resolved after we reported it.

On my first day in Shantou, I chose this guesthouse near MixC. The location is truly excellent and incredibly convenient. The moment I stepped into the room, I was amazed by the owner's design. The whole place embraces Wabi-sabi aesthetics, with thoughtful design touches everywhere. The room was exceptionally clean and tidy. The mattress was incredibly comfortable; lying on it just made all the day's fatigue disappear. Before bed, I had a soak in the bathtub, which was absolutely wonderful. Plus, the room's soundproofing was superb, ensuring a fantastic night's sleep 💤. The natural lighting in the room was really great, with the morning sun streaming onto the bed. I especially loved the tea space; in the morning, I'd go make myself a cup of coffee. It was perfect for emptying my mind and enjoying the moment. The hotel provided breakfast vouchers that could be used at a nearby restaurant. I chose the Cheung Fun, and the place was packed with locals, making the taste very authentic. If I come to Shantou again, this will definitely be my top choice. 🏠 Shanheli (MixC)

The hotel has a lot going for it. We enjoyed the fresh renovations and the breakfast was good. I don’t think it’s worthy of 5 stars though because they have extremely cheap and uncomfortable mattresses. The mattress was so light and springy that any movement from the other side of the bed would make you wake up and you can feel the springs and hear them. We tried flipping the mattress over as instructed by hotel staff but the hard side of the bed was equally uncomfortable. We booked the Urcove for the next night because Hyatt has a high standard for mattresses and we can count on a good night’s sleep. One thing to keep in mind for these hotels in China is they are pretty much all unwilling to enforce no smoking rules. Even with air filters throughout the hotel we could smell the cigarette smoke everywhere.

I have to say, this hotel offers great value for money. For 580 yuan a night, you get a spacious room with two king-size beds (1.8m each) and two TVs. The details in the room are also well thought out, with a sofa and a small round table. It wouldn't feel crowded even with two adults and two children. The hotel also has a gym and a laundry room, and the front desk even provided breakfast vouchers. The hotel's location is excellent as well. It's only a 5-minute walk to Zhongshan Park Monument Pavilion, the pedestrian street, and other attractions. There are also plenty of dining options nearby.

The front desk staff were incredibly warm and helpful. Our sea-view room offered a stunning panorama, and the location was super convenient for getting around. The smart facilities were easy to use, and breakfast was delicious. When my child got an upset stomach late at night and we needed to go to the hospital, the hotel provided incredibly thoughtful assistance.

I enjoy reading to pass the time on vacation, and the quiet corner on the terrace is perfect for it. With a complimentary coffee in hand, I can look up and admire the ocean view, the fishing boats going to and from the pier, the relaxed daily life of the town, and the windmills swaying in the breeze. The sunset creates such a gentle atmosphere. The desk in the room is spacious and quiet, and the bathtub is great for unwinding. The bedding ensures a good night's sleep. The pool and gym are good for relaxing your eyes, and the kids' club is far enough away not to disturb the quiet areas. Plus, parking is convenient if you're driving.

The Golden Leaf Hotel specially selected by the Shuangzhong Cultural Festival, the hotel is in a good location, and the team passes by the cross road in front of the hotel. Old hotel, good service, a pleasant stay.

非常滿意的一次旅行！房間空間大，私密性好，全屋智能太友好了！還有投影儀，呆在房間看電影都是一種享受！酒店還配有恆温泳池，樓上樓下兩層，私隱性好，水温合適，孩子非常喜歡，來回在裏面玩了一個多小時，解放了帶娃的我們！民宿管家的服務非常周到，會特意根據我們的時間合理安排早餐的用餐時間！店裡還有烤肉，孩子游完泳，我們在荔枝樹下吃烤肉，度假的鬆弛感拉滿！
