Good hotel in a nice location close to everything you need. Staff were helpful and the price was excellent.

I had previously stayed at The Cottage two weeks earlier and had booked a room through another online" booking". company and was extremely unhappy to get a room at the back corner of the hotel which backed onto the noise of a carpark for motorbikes and close to the loading bay at the rear of the shopping centre . The noise made it very difficult to sleep . I then decided to book with trip .com and was expecting much the same outcome . I must say that I was pleasantly surprised when I got a pool view room.  The view of the pool is really not the advantage of these rooms ,It's the quieter part of the hotel and the motorbike noise is much less and there is no noise from the shopping centre. (So the way to go is to book a poolview room. ( NOTE TO HOTEL...you need some sheer curtains as well as the block out curtains as everyone can see into your room during the day once you open them )  The breakfast is a lot better than the offerings from many of the nearby hotels at which I have stayed and the Amigos Restaurant is open from early until 1o at night with a good offering on the Menu .The staff are wonderful and very helpful. I would recommend this hotel as an ideal place for overnight if you need to catch an early flight. Beware that catching  a flight in peak hour can be hit and miss with Taxi drivers trying to get anything up to 300 baht for the approximately 100 baht trip . Maybe the taxi rank at the shopping centre would be a better place to catch the taxi from . At least you can try to get an honest taxi driver and tip him 50 baht for the peak hour effort . There are good massage shops nearby and some local cheap eats.
