The people in reception area were the best. Friendly and helpful. Great location, easy access to the beach, close to old town.

Location is amazing, which is the biggest draw for me. Cleanliness is downgraded simply because some rooms are showing their age and needs to be renovated. I did not try it, but they have a very inviting hot indoor pool as well!

The staff was very warm & welcoming, from the very beginning! The room that my friend & I stayed in was very cozy & was above & beyond what we were expecting. There was a cute lil' kitchen & dining area, & the room was fairly spacious! Not to mention, when you opened the door the breathtaking view of Pacific ocean was right there! So Awesome! Thanks everyone @ Sunset Motel, y'all were amazing! Would highly recommend this place for any of my family or friends visiting the area.

Without a doubt this motel has the most beautiful view of the large stacks on the beach. The welcome mat was not out when we got there, tired after a long drive. We were greeted without a smile. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the shower was great, and the bathroom had a lot of counter space which was appreciated. However, for the price it was not worth it. A tiny coffee pot, which may be since the motel expected we would take advantage of the breakfast they provided. We only went to the lobby for breakfast once because the choices were uninviting and not at all delicious like former years' offerings. Bagels and two choices of breakfast cereal didn't have much appeal. Back to our room which could have accommodated two comfortable chairs instead had a rather uncomfortable sofa bed. My husband and I stayed here many times over the years but because of the price for what we got I have decided to stay in another town the next time we want to visit Bandon.

Starting with the good, the pool and hot tub were very nice. Hot tub is deep and roomy and the area was clean. The shower was big and had nice pressure. They had lots of helpful things like shampoo and coffee maker in the room. It’s also two doors down from a nice restaurant that we walked to for dinner. We had the bldg. across the street from the ocean and didn’t realize that, since it’s called ‘oceanfront’ so be careful which bldg. you get because no one told us there were multiple. We settled in and then went for a walk. No one told us we shouldn’t lock the door as it locks automatically so we ended up locking ourselves out. That would’ve been helpful knowledge to be given. The room itself was quite big. But I’m a germ freak so the cob webs and crumbs visible under the dresser upset me. There were also stains on the rug and box spring so I think those should be replaced. Could at least hide them with a dust ruffle or mattress cover. Then a bad thing… There’s no AC - which I don’t understand for a hotel at the beach. But it was September so we could just open a window for air, right? Wrong. Because there weren’t any screens! So it was a bit uncomfortable.

Arrivé au lobby, acceuil snob. En ouvrant la porte de ma chambre , je dirais plus de mon cabanon, l’odeur répugnante nous a sauté au nez. Cet endroit est à déconseillé fortement. Chambre , tapis, porte , ventilation, tout est degeulasse…Ça pue la moisissure et le vieux bois moisi….un lit que je n’offrirais pas à mon chien, chaise répugnante , sale. J’ai loué cet endroit me fiant aux photos…et ben quelle belle attrape…j’ai réservé à coté au best western qui est impeccable en tout point ,l’argent est si difficilement gagné de nos jours. Ce motel n’a aucun respect pour sa clientèle

We were on a national park road trip in southern Oregon and Northern California. The end of our trip took us up the Oregon Coast and we spent one night here. The room was clean and comfortable and service was good. Continental breakfast was available. The beach access is across the street, and could be seen from our room. The beach was beautiful, with huge rock formations. The colorful sea life around the rocks at low tide was amazing. We also enjoyed Old Town Bandon for dinner and a stroll.

This is a slightly worn family owned hotel with Ocean views that are spectacular. There’s laundry on the premises and a light continental breakfast. My bed was comfortable. There was no refrigerator or microwave in my room but it worked out fine. There’s laundry facilities and an ice machine and plenty of parking. Great stay.

We stayed in the “rustic” room, last minute booking on a spontaneous road trip down the coast. The rustic room was maybe more vintage than rustic, but either way - a solid value for the low price and location. The beds were comfortable, room was clean, and we were stoked to have a coffee maker in the room with local grounds. Location was pretty sweet - right across the street from the bluff overlooking a gorgeous beach.
