The people in reception area were the best. Friendly and helpful. Great location, easy access to the beach, close to old town.

Location is amazing, which is the biggest draw for me. Cleanliness is downgraded simply because some rooms are showing their age and needs to be renovated. I did not try it, but they have a very inviting hot indoor pool as well!

What a spacious clean room with a wonderful view! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was very well thought out. Even our fireplace worked! Nicely updated with even a little well stocked kitchen. What more could one need. This is my second review on this place...love it!

This was the first time I have ever stayed at a hotel in Bandon, I have family there who were transitioning living arrangements hence the necessity. Bandon is a small town, it is not a glitzy resort type town, rich in Oregon history, hard working folks, it definitely has its place. Sunset Lodging & Hotel exemplifies all of that, the rooms are perfectly adequate, cozy, yes dated, our room (236) provided UNPARALLELED views of the majestic oceanfront views. Access to the beach are yards away. Old Town a brief 5 minute drive, access to highway 101 even less. Parking was perfect at the property. You don't go to Bandon to sit in a hotel room, it's where you sleep and shower, the rest of your time is spent exploring your surroundings. The beds are perfectly comfortable, water pressure in the showers was exceptional, cable tv stations were great. Heater worked wonderfully, no, there was no AC other than the breezes coming through the sliding glass door, I'll take that every single day This is an old school type accommodation, the staff from front desk to housekeeping were wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable. You can't really ask for more, a simple breakfast served from 7:30am to 10:00am, nothing elaborate, no need for it to be with some fantastic eateries a mile away. An indoor pool/spa right off the lobby, lots of area literature and attractions available, super pet friendly. You must take note that moisture is in the air, the weather changes on a dime, from spectacular bright sunny skies to billowing doom and gloom clouds and rain, that's the Oregon coast, no getting away from it. I was really looking forward to writing this review, I would and will stay here again, these are the types of properties that best capture and convey the presence of Bandon.... Do not reserve at this hotel. We stayed here a couple of years ago and the accommodations were standard to substandard. We wanted to play in Bandon again and contacted the hotel through Orbitz. They messed up our reservation, I booked again with the correct dates. They charged me two deposits and raised the $15 per night for the second reservation. What makes me to create this criticism is the staff. She was rude both times and hung up on me saying, Good Luck. There are better places in this wonderful town.

The staff was very warm & welcoming, from the very beginning! The room that my friend & I stayed in was very cozy & was above & beyond what we were expecting. There was a cute lil' kitchen & dining area, & the room was fairly spacious! Not to mention, when you opened the door the breathtaking view of Pacific ocean was right there! So Awesome! Thanks everyone @ Sunset Motel, y'all were amazing! Would highly recommend this place for any of my family or friends visiting the area.
