Taichung Hotels with Balcony

Love the hotel amenities such as complimentary supper, foot bath etc. Appreciate the close proximity to Feng Chia night market. Its about 8 mins walk. Overall looks very new. Room is well designed. Parking is behind the hotel, to enter a small alley. Reception managed to place us side by side even though there is no connecting room.

Really love the industrial themed looking hotel, gave it a really unique experience, with different aesthetic corners at level 1 to sit, enjoy a cup of coffee and read a book. Walking distance to Yi Zhong night market, location was great, very convenient and close to many of the shops we wanted to patronise. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, room size was descent, enough to fit two medium sized luggage on the floor. Water pressure was great.

The room is pretty clean and big (some stains on my blanket and dust coating the switches, but the tables weren't dusty), about 1/3 of it is toilet though. Very interesting layout, which I think is very ********* style, with the sink outside and the toilet and shower in their own glass enclosures. The room is divided by a TV centerpiece. I did get ignored by reception for a good 10-15 minutes though as there was a family asking some questions and there was only one member at the reception. It's impossible to check in yourself at the front desk with the machine because of how the system regenerates your booking number. I also do not recommend their breakfast arrangement, the drink from the stall that you get the discount from was barely warm, and they rounded down the discount and essentially charged me 50 NTD more for my meal, and they also missed out one item from my order!!!

This is a good new hotel located at new residential area. Hence the surrounding is nice, looks new and quiet. Albeit quite far from Taichung city centre, the hotel is accesible via TRA (Chenggong Station) after 8 minutes walking. HSR station is only one stop away. There is only one convenience store nearby (Family mart). Hotel staff can communicate in English quite well. Breakfast is good, room is very clean and nice. However there is slight discomfort as the shower room floor is sometimes flooded when in used. Overall would recommend a stay here.

Nice place to stay! It was clean and new - they are nice to also provide a baby cot for free for our baby. However, the mattress is a little too thin so we had to let baby sleep on the bed. Nonetheless, it is an awesome place to be at when in Taichung.

Room size is good enough for 3 adults. Service staff are friendly. Walk distance to Fengjia Night Market. But do take note, there is no way to get breakfast within walking distance except 7-11. Other than that, Place is very clean. Overall, happy with the stay.

Check-in was contactless - all via a kiosk even dispensing your key cards, it was a breeze. I think the hotel used to be called moving star hotel as I saw their bath towel had the name imprinted. Google maps location / bus stop name was also moving star hotel. Nonetheless a good stay. Room nice and decent. The wash basin is separate from the toilet/shower area. 👍🏼

The hotel is near fengjia night market. All toiletries are provided in the hotel room. There is a lounge with complimentary snacks and hot beverages. There is also a laundry area for you to wash your clothes. Overall, excellent stay. Will book the hotel again if I come Taichung.

Positives: - Huge room with separate living room and bedroom (2 TVs too) - balcony for fresh air - bose Bluetooth speaker - tv comes with pre loaded apps like YouTube - toilet has separate shower and tub - 7/11 next to hotel - Zhongxiao night market just one street away - breakfast decent variety - Excellent service - complimentary coffee and tea in lobby Negatives: - bed kind of hard - sound insulation not the best (can hear outside traffic) - tub is a tad short - living room area is kind of dark even with all the lights on - ceiling is a little low - no conditioner or body lotion provided - only two lifts and quite small so sometimes the wait for the lifts can take a while

Had a great stay at Hotel Si! The showers had constant hot water with strong pressure, and they even provided travel adapters. The water dispensers on every floor were clean and convenient. The lobby was spacious, open, and beautifully decorated with plenty of plants. However, an important thing to note—our room had a balcony, and the toilet was located outside on it. This can be inconvenient, especially at night or in winter when you have to take a few chilly steps back to the bedroom after a shower. The Sealy bed was super comfortable, but the blanket wasn’t the best. The duvet cover kept shifting due to loose ties, which left empty spaces inside. The TV was large and had YouTube and Netflix, but it was quite laggy—maybe Haier isn’t the best brand for TVs. On the plus side, the location is fantastic! There’s a great massage parlour and a live band bar nearby. That said, the strict 4 PM check-in policy can lead to long queues, and parking is limited to just five spots outside, though alternatives are available. One small suggestion—the hotel might want to consider rebranding as ”Hotel Xi” instead of ”Hotel Si,” as ”Si” means ”die” in Mandarin, which is a cultural taboo for Chinese guests. Overall, it’s a decent option if the price is right. The separate toilet setup was a huge downside for me, but the convenience of the location makes up for it. Would consider staying again!
