Taichung Hotels with balcony

This time I brought my wife to Taichung for her birthday, and we stayed at the Norway Forest Cultural Center for the first night. We arrived early to drop off our luggage and immediately experienced the friendly and polite service, which made me feel happy and warm. Although there was a minor issue with the air conditioning in our room when we checked in that evening, the front desk manager came up and helped us switch to a larger and more comfortable room. Their service attitude was also super nice. It's no wonder this hotel has reviews above 9 – it's absolutely deserved. If I have the chance to come again, it will definitely be my first choice! 🥰

Upon check-in, when asked the reason for our stay, I casually mentioned we were celebrating our 100th day together. They genuinely took note and arranged related services. The sense of privacy and exclusive hospitality was exceptional, truly living up to the reputation of Japan's top Hoshino Resorts group. I particularly loved the design of the entire garden and the relaxation pavilions by the pool, as well as the hot springs. Whether it was the expansive window views from the room, the scenery from the private onsen, the women's public bath, or the dining area, every single spot, with its flowers, plants, and water birds, was meticulously designed. Both dinner and breakfast were also thoughtfully prepared and presented using local ingredients. Our 2-day, 1-night stay left us feeling incredibly touched and joyful, both physically and mentally. It felt like we were taken care of in every possible way. Every moment was filled with deep appreciation. I highly recommend staying here.

Free breakfast included. Hotsprings ♨️ access included. Fish foot spa included. Room is okay. Convenient location near the Guguan Station, Guguan Center, Guguan Visitor Center, Family Mart and restos. Basically next to the river, and the suspension bridge that can lead you to the Shaolai Trail to Pojinjia Trail. No soundproofing. Request for river view, too. Bring swimming attire for hotspring access, swimming cap, too.

The room wasn't huge, but it was very quiet, tucked away in an alley. Parking wasn't an issue though; there was mobile parking right at the entrance, and the hotel also provided information on nearby paid parking lots. I had a great night's sleep; the bed was really comfortable and the pillows were excellent. The air conditioning was perfectly cold. We also received a welcome drink voucher that we could use at the front desk for drinks and snacks. After checking out, we realized we'd left our power bank and charging cable behind. To our surprise, the hotel proactively called us to ask if we wanted them to hold onto it. Since we don't live in Taichung, they even helped us ship it home via Black Cat Express, and we received it the very next morning, carefully wrapped in bubble wrap for protection. This is truly a thoughtful and wonderful hotel! Definitely my top choice for staying in Taichung.

Stylish design hotel in Taichung's old town. Clean rooms, comfy beds, and amazing staff. 10-min walk from train station. Close to Miyahara and Second Market. Rooms are small and soundproofing is just okay, but great value for money. Free afternoon snacks! Perfect for solo or couple travelers or family too . ⭐⭐⭐⭐

First time staying at Floating Clouds Inn, and what a pleasant surprise! Surprise number one: smart check-in. Everything is self-service, and the parking lot is super convenient, right downstairs from the inn, with plenty of spaces! After parking, you take the elevator to the inn lobby and use the self-service machine to check in and get your room card. I had already booked the room on Trip.com, so all I needed to do was enter the phone number used for the booking and scan my ID for the record. It was really convenient! The room was quite elegant. Following the environmental trend, personal amenities are not provided in the room, but there's a vending machine in the inn where you can purchase whatever you need. During our stay, we used the gym facilities on the second floor to burn off some of the calories from overindulging at the nearby Fengjia Night Market. Oh, and speaking of which, it's not far from the Fengjia business district, which is great for a stroll and some shopping! Overall, it was a very satisfying stay, and I'd definitely come back if I get the chance!

On my second day at this hotel (February 28th), I had an unexpected accident. I accidentally slipped off the bed, and the sharp corner of a small table next to the bed pierced my outer thigh near my hip. (The hotel hadn't covered the sharp corners or taken any precautions to prevent guests from getting injured.) The wound was about 10 cm long, and I was in excruciating pain. The clinics near the hotel were all closed, and it was difficult for me to walk due to the pain from the injury. I went to the front desk on the first floor to borrow a first-aid kit and bandage the wound myself. I complained to the front desk staff, telling them how unbelievable it was that the hotel didn't seem to know they should secure sharp table corners. It's almost common sense; why would the hotel allow sharp corners to create a dangerous environment for guests? If it hadn't been for that sharp corner, I believe my fall from the bed wouldn't have resulted in a 10 cm long wound, practically gushing blood, from a table corner as sharp as a knife. Just an hour before the accident, I had even extended my stay online for another five nights. I never expected to suffer such an injury an hour later. No one from the hotel came to check on me. When I went downstairs to borrow the first-aid kit, I repeatedly asked the front desk staff to report the incident to their supervisor. I deeply regret my decision to extend my stay for five more nights, especially since I've already paid and can't cancel. The hotel staff were incredibly indifferent towards a guest who had been injured by a sharp table corner in their room.

Our family always makes it a habit to find a hotel near Fengjia Night Market when we visit, and we've been doing it for years. This was our first time staying at this particular hotel, and we booked a quad room. The room was incredibly spacious, and parking was convenient. Since we checked in on a Saturday, we could have reserved the shuttle bus to Fengjia for 30 NTD per person. However, we decided to challenge ourselves to walk there and back. It was a bit of a trek, about 10-15 minutes one way, which was a little far but not unbearable. The breakfast was a buffet, and I especially enjoyed the fresh fruit and vegetable juice machine – that was super fun! Overall, I'd definitely consider staying here again. The only downside was... by the time we wanted a late-night snack, we were already too full from the night market food, so we just went downstairs for a bubble tea and headed back to the room!

Always stay here whenever I am in Taichung, such a lovely and cozy little building. Service is great too ! Love to be here again no doubt

The room was so clean & comfortable with the beds so soft. The toilet was clean & not too old but there was no door beside the wash room. The staffs were so friendly & very fast services because the refill water was little drop of water at beside the life. So, we told the senior lady staff, afterwards, it already function well. Thank so much for as a great services. The balcony was a bit useless for us as it made the room so so small. Just as warning because there was so many mosquito outside as we already bites by those at night. The location from the Feng Chia night market just 15 minu there while just 5 minu to the left when you get out the hotel. You will see few the stalls from night market So overall, it was good & maybe maybe will book again
