By no means will I call it a 4-star hotel, this is a bed & breakfast and not the best one. The positives are a pick-up from the airport if you stay 3+ nights, central location and hot water. The rest is to be improved. The name of the hotel is confusing, it is called La Casa Old City but the sign on the building itself is different (Moonlight). There is another La Casa hotel in the same area so if you come with a taxi, make sure you're going to the right place, or you'll have to walk for 700 m. The accommodation has 10 rooms, 3 out of them located in the basement. There is no lift at the premises, you have to climb the stairs to get to the breakfast area and drag your suitcases to your room - no assistance provided by the reception. The room in the basement that we were given was stuffy and not very clean despite at least 2 hours that passed between our arrival and actual check-in, and was not cleaned properly on subsequent days (there were the same pieces of the wall under TV cabinet staying on the floor for as long as we stayed). The AC was very noisy and had strings of dust hang from it. The bathroom mirror was cracked, vanity kit tiny, and you need to watch your toilet rolls usage as there are no spare ones rolls. Wallpaper was coming off the wall in a few places, the floor had poorly covered dents, rugs on the floor have definitely seen better days - they definitely have not been cleaned for a while so I would not recommend walking in the room barefoot. I understand that stylistic choices may vary but if you opt for lots of fabrics, you do need to make sure it's clean. There was no mattress protector or pillow protectors and the bedding was very poor quality - it had black lint on it and it feels very synthetic to the touch. There were random boxes piled up on one of the windowsills, safe box was broken (and not fixed after a complaint), there were three hangers (all different) in the closet. Wifi is available but it was quite slow. And you also need to ask for bath robes at the reception. Breakfast experience was disappointing as well. Breakfast hours are convenient and the staff tries to cater to your needs at their best but there is as much as one can do. The breakfast area dubs as a cafe/restaurant and they have a very customer-unfriendly system to go around it, to be precise they don't let you sit in the area designated for cafe guests unless there is no other seating which makes no sense as there are only hotel guests there for breakfast, and the only change that needs to be done is to change plates. I understand that it might pose an inconvenience for the staff if they are understaffed but it comes off as completely ignoring convenience of hotel guests. If the area is fully packed, you'll have to sit in scorching sun. Something as simple as a ceiling fan and roll-up curtains would have made a big difference. The buffet is also located in direct sunlight so food looks very tired. The seating itself is inconvenient - it is bulky
