We had a great time. People are friendly. Dinner was nice. Very easy to strike up conversations with strangers. We bought abalone (and fish, too!) from the local fishermen. A Chinese family treated us to fish at dinner. Divemaster Haris was super helpful. We travel from KL and would come back here again for vacation.

Had a really good stay here!!! From the boat transfer from Semporna Jetty to the resort, the staff were very attentive and helpful. Upon arrival at the Water Bungalow, I was welcomed with a welcome drink and a brief introduction and orientation of the facilities and the amenities was given by Jasni. Loved the spacious room and the stay was very comfortable. Sea nomads come by daily and offer coconuts and fresh seafood. If you are willing to buy they will be very happy; if you are not keen, just decline politely and they will leave you alone. Meals here were great, there was a variety of mains, fruits and desserts available. The compound is also very beautiful and the view is breathtaking at every corner. Indeed more expensive, but you are paying for the resort being in one of the best locations. They also provide diving and snorkelling services. The Water Bungalow Housereef is a divers heaven and it has many interesting pelagic animals to see. Truly loved my stay here and I believe I will be back.

Amazing location , beautiful setting , wonderful staff, great snorkelling, delicious food. We stayed in the bougain villa it was spacious and luxurious. We loved spotting turtles and other marine life from our balcony..we were well looked after also on our snorkeling trip- so much to see! Booking the trip through trip.com was great also, excelkent communication- thank you

The environment is beautiful, the air is fresh, and the sea view is charming, which makes people feel happy. The food is very delicious, fresh and has local characteristics. Every meal is satisfactory. The diving experience is very exciting. The underwater world is colorful. Fortunately, I saw sharks, turtles, and schools of tropical fish. It was really super shocking and worth a try!

The water house is located on the island, 40 minutes by boat from Semporna Pier. Although the journey is long, the scenery on the island is super beautiful and very pleasing to the eyes. Under the balcony of the water house is the crystal clear sea. From time to time, the Bajau people come to sell seafood and coconuts. If you are not so fond of snorkeling, you can choose to drink tea and relax on the balcony.

The bougainvillea in full bloom is beautiful! The water is clear and transparent, and there are local Bajau children selling coconuts, fishermen selling seafood, and the hotel kitchen can process it for you!

The environment is good, the daily snorkeling arrangements are very good, it would be better if the buffet was better

Pros: 1. The setting is truly beautiful, and the facilities are average, but passable. Cons: 1. Too noisy. Staying in the hotel felt like being in a wet market. Locals were hawking leaves, children were crying, and day trippers were sitting outside taking photos and making loud noises. The experience was terrible. There was no way to rest or sleep during the day; it was like sleeping on the street. The old man at the front desk was in a hurry to get us out. On the day of check-out, the boat was leaving at 11:00 am, but we weren't allowed in the room at 10:30 am. The cleaners were waiting outside the door early in the morning to clean. I won't be staying there again.

Privacy is average, service needs to be improved

There is still room for improvement, and it is a bit behind the pace. You can refer to the domestic Yunnan hotel butler service. The service here is equivalent to no service, leaving the guests to fend for themselves.

The pictures look like paradise but that where it ends this is a resort for the Chinese everyday they arrive paying 50 myr complete with beat boxes changes of clothes tripods and to photograph and selfies ! I don’t think you can have any understanding of quite how nuts this is till you experience it. People sitting on your doorstep and doing photo shoots ! The food is woeful and if you come late you won’t eat everything is cold but they swarm like locusts pushing you out of the way at the buffet it’s honestly awful. diving on house reef is pointless due to number of boats and day trippers no vis ! Sipidan is amazing you leave 5.50am and only 2 dive and then back to. Chaos there are no private guest only spaces and the day trippers over run the resort ! We paid nearly £4000 for 3 days and honestly not worth it there is nowhere to escape and no other restaurants so your stuck ! Most people going don’t dive or for that matter swim, just take photos The staff are lovely and equally find this chaos but this is head office rule the day trippers have full use of the entire resort ! There were even tour guides with mega phones walking round the resort it is bonkers The only up side was on the 2 days at Sipidan we where the only people diving from the resort with a boat with 5 staff food again terrible but diving was amazing
