Forth Hotel Atlanta

My wife and I recently stayed at the FORTH Hotel Atlanta over the weekend of November 7, 2025, for a local staycation celebrating our two-year wedding anniversary. We live in Atlanta and have admired the property for a while, often passing it on the BeltLine and hearing great things — especially about Il Premio, the restaurant downstairs. Since FORTH is also part of the American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts program, we decided it would be the perfect spot for a special weekend. The Good: The hotel itself is beautiful — brand new, tastefully designed, and in an ideal location near Ponce City Market and the Eastside Trail. It absolutely feels five-star in terms of ambiance and decor. Our room was comfortable, modern, and thoughtfully appointed, with lovely city views. The gym is genuinely impressive — it’s part of a private, two-story club accessible to guests, which makes it feel much more elevated than the average hotel fitness center. There are also multiple bars and restaurants on-site, so you could easily spend an entire weekend here without ever leaving the property. Il Premio, in particular, was excellent — sophisticated menu, great service, and a fitting place for a celebration dinner. The Not-So-Good: Unfortunately, the valet experience was the biggest disappointment. When we arrived, the line was backed up around the corner due to an event happening at the hotel, but even so, paying $50 per night for valet should come with efficiency and courtesy. There was no communication in advance about the event or its potential impact, and no offer of a discount or alternative solution. The same issue happened upon checkout — we waited 15–20 minutes for our car, which really soured the overall experience. At that point, we could’ve retrieved it ourselves from a nearby parking deck more quickly and cheaply. Breakfast the next morning was another point of frustration. While the food itself was good and portions generous, service was chaotic — coffee came after breakfast, and the wait for food was around 40 minutes. The restaurant staff seemed overwhelmed, possibly due to another event or wedding party, but again, that’s not an excuse for a property aiming for five-star service. Lastly, the billing and Amex credit logistics were messy. The credits were inconsistently applied, the breakfast credit didn’t show up on our folio, and a surprise charge appeared later that required follow-up by phone. The staff were friendly and helpful in resolving it, but these hiccups add unnecessary stress to what should be a seamless luxury experience. Overall: FORTH Hotel Atlanta has tremendous potential — it’s visually stunning, ideally located, and offers great amenities. But the operational side needs improvement. For the price point and five-star branding, guests shouldn’t encounter avoidable frustrations with valet, billing, or restaurant logistics. We truly enjoyed the hotel and would love to return, but only once some of these service gaps are addressed.

Wonderful hotel. Booked through American Express travel site and received some extra perks like upgraded room and late checkout. Lighting could be improved, especially in the bathroom. Everything was clean, comfortable, and staff professional and kind. Would definitely come back if in the area.

I stayed at this hotel and left behind a diamond ring in my room. An heirloom from my mom. I called immediately from the airport. The security located it and told me they would put it in a safe but never logged it and it mysteriously disappeared. At first they denied having it because it was not in the system luckily I had proof and a voicemail transcript. But I still haven’t received compensation for what is really a priceless item. :( Really a bummer because I loved the hotel before this event. Just terrible. And a pity that my valuable were not kept safe while in their possession.

I wanted to commend the spa center. I had a deep tissue with Antoinette and she was incredible! She was very professional and accommodating, and helped me relieve a lot of tension in my back and shoulders. Would love to come back and see her! Great and friendly staff.

Wonderful hotel with a great location. Friendly staff and great service . So many extra facilities to make use of. We hope to be back!
