The dinner food is very rich and fresh, the breakfast is as delicious, there is Asu Shrine nearby, and the private hot spring is very enjoyable. Definitely come again next time.
This might be one of the best accommodations I've ever stayed in. And I travel a lot. I am impressed with every bit of the house since the minute I saw the house from outside, to stepping inside. This house has all amenities you could ask for and everything is very tidy and organized. The location is good to it is right in the middle of the countryside, you will need a car to get here but it was all worth it. We walked down the rice field and found the stream which I and my daughter enjoyed.

The hotel is located in the forest. There are only three single-family villas in the whole hotel. Each villa has a large courtyard and back garden. There is also a private hot spring. The environment is great, and the breakfast and dinner are also good. Friends with sufficient budget can consider it!
We originally booked a small double room, but upon arrival the front desk staff upgraded us to a large room for free, which we were very grateful for.
The hotel's dinner is a barbecue buffet with a lot of meat and wine choices, but it is a bit smoky and could be improved.
We recommend that hotels provide pick-up service from Aso Station
The homestay is in a literary hall. A large complex. The room is two suites. They have bathrooms and baths. The room also has indoor and outdoor pools. The room is very comfortable. The store provides extra breakfast and dinner. Dinner is a rich Chinese food. It is a rare worker to eat Chinese food. The staff are very enthusiastic and most of the staff can speak Chinese. If you want to ask in advance, you can call and contact the staff in advance to communicate with WeChat. We played a ball in Asu. The staff asked us about several stadiums in order to find the right time. Thank you very much.
Better to rent a car to get there, so convenience is not somebody who books this place should look for.
For relaxing purpose, this is a nice area with lots of green, the down side is it is next to a golf course, so there were sounds of tree-cutting and a bunch of golfers practicing their putts on the practice putting green next to the site for trailers. I am not a big fan of that.
Service is closed to non-existent, there were staffs who helped checking us in, they were friendly and did their job explaining all the essential functions of the trailer. They had to use the translator machine to communicate, they were very patient. I can't rate the service too high because after checking in we were pretty much on our own. So not something you should look for if service is a top priority.
Best part is there is an onsen next to the site that offers family bath, that's memorable.

LLimJia YingThe service provided here is up and beyond. I love that the whole set up gives not only space for people to mingle, also proper work space to have your alone time if you need it. A beautiful kitchen set up as well, I felt very safe and clean staying here. It was my first time using a kotatsu table too, a dream come true. I listened to some cd displayed for anyone to listen on a headphone. So much fun. The location is perfect too, super close to Aso Station, where we get to everywhere.
CChing Ching CarolynThe hotel is situated next to a train station and has ample parking lots. Building and rooms were new and clean. Service was alright, nothing particularly outstanding but you can expect the usual Japanese courtesies. Facilities wise is basic, with no gym or pool. Its pantry/dining area is however well stocked and is a comfortable and stylish place to chill out at!
SSupasinee TOne of the best onsen hotels we have ever stayed at. The room was spacious, featuring three basins and two restrooms—plenty of space for three adults. The hotel is surrounded by trees and flowers, creating a beautiful and peaceful environment. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, with many options to choose from. We were so happy with our stay at this hotel!
Yyu mingThe hotel is located near Aso Volcano, which is very good for self-tourists. The hotel's breakfast and dinner are very good. There is an all-you-can-drink buffet barbecue for dinner. There are many kinds of food. The A4 Wagyu beef is very delicious and worth a try.
SSooI recently stayed at a wonderful hotel in Aso, and it was an unforgettable experience. The location is absolutely stunning—nestled in the heart of Aso’s beautiful nature, with breathtaking views right from the room. The hotel’s onsen was a highlight, offering a relaxing and peaceful way to soak in the scenery. The food was also incredible, with delicious local dishes that really captured the flavors of the region. The vibes throughout the hotel were warm and cozy, making it feel like a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle.
The only downside was that the bed was a bit small for two people, so it felt a little tight. But everything else more than made up for it. The hotel also offers plenty of parking, so getting around was easy. The price was definitely reasonable for the experience, and given the amazing views, great food, and tranquil onsen, it felt like a great value. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the beauty of Aso!
VVisit Y.This hotel is situated on a spacious property, secluded from the town center and shops. While it features public baths and an on-site restaurant, The dinner and breakfast offered a delightful blend of Western and Japanese dishes, typical of most Japanese hotels. Our twin room, though a bit compact, provided a comfortable overnight stay. All amenities provided were satisfactory for a one-night stay, leaving no room for complaints. As most establishments in the vicinity close after 5 PM (except for convenience stores), there isn't much to do at the hotel besides enjoying the onsen. Therefore, be prepared for an early night in.
__mbc6226230016019992The hotel is quite large, with three public hot springs, recreational facilities, and breakfast and dinner buffets with local characteristics and good quality. The room is Japanese tatami, which is quite spacious for a family. It is about 10 minutes' walk from Aso Station, and it is very convenient to take the bus to Mount Aso.
GGuest UserThe hotel is old, so it's not new, but it's clean. The bath water is really good in Kumamoto. The food was also very delicious. For smokers, the lights in the smoking room are turned off at around 12 o'clock, so you have to smoke in the dark. My partner said that it would be better if the lights were on here. I don't smoke, so it didn't bother me. The view was nice.
GGuest UserHotels that only want to serve tour groups do not want to accommodate independent travelers. We arrived at 2:30pm and asked if we could check in half an hour early. The employee pointed out that check-in could only be done at 3pm. Then we asked if we could store our luggage, but the employee said she couldn't find our order. She was willing to look for our order only after we showed the trip.com order page.
The usage hours of the private hot spring are from 3pm to 9am. We went to the front desk at 10pm to ask about the location of the private hot spring, and she directly told us ”no”. After asking again, we were allowed to enter and let us leave at 12am.
Check out time was 10am. We felt very sorry that we didn't leave until 10:08am. They called us 4 times during this period and the attitude was very bad.
The employees don't speak English at all, and they won't actively help solve problems. They will just reject you directly, making people feel that you shouldn't bother them, and there is no one on duty at the front desk for a long time.
GGuest UserLike the onsen in the hotel; onsen water is good and big enough for 6-7 person to use. Japanese breakfast served by staff was quite substantial and tasty.
The room that we stayed is quiet and faces mountain and park. Bathroom a little small but clean. There wasn’t any wardrobe but there were hooks on the wall and hangers were provided.
