Wir haben vier Tage in dieser wunderschönen Lodge verbracht und die Zeit sehr genossen. Besonders gefallen hat uns, dass die Besitzerin ihre Lebensmittel selbst im Garten hinter dem Haus anbaut. Die Gerichte sind frisch vom Garten und in hervorragender Qualität gewürzt und gekocht. Hier kommen keine Fertiggerichte oder zusammengematschte Currys auf den Tisch. Jeden Abend ein anderes 4-Gänge-Menü. Selbst das Fleisch wird vor Ort verarbeitet und hygienisch einwandfrei gelagert. Das schmeckt man einfach! Das Personals ist immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, alles sehr sauber. Einzig - das WLAN reicht nicht bis in die Zimmer. Aber wir sind ja auch nicht zum Internet-Surfen gekommen, sondern um Afrika kennenzulernen. Wir würden jederzeit gerne wiederkommen und können es wirklich nur empfehlen.

Wonderful lodge with wonderful stuff

Warm, smiling reception, with gratis juice served while processing my checkin. This serene lodge has its origins dating back approximately 70 years ago as a German compound. It has become a mature, East African arboretum with bungalows. Want to get outside of the hotel bubble … this peaceful, gated sanctuary is for you.

Lodge 45 minutes vom Kilimanjaro Flughafen. In direkter Nähe vom Arusha National Park. Eigentümerin spricht deutsch. Sehr freundlich und herzlich. Gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis. Coffeetour (Wanderung mit lunch 6 Stunden) die angeboten wird hat uns sehr gefallen. Tolle Einblicke im lokalen Leben! Tolle Startpunkt bevor man auf Safari geht.

Die Lodge ist ruhig eingebettet in einer gepflegten Parkanlage. Für unsere bevorstehende Kilimanjaro ideal: das Bungalow war geräumig, was sich als praktisch erwies, da wir unsere div. Koffer umpacken mussten. Freundliches, zuvorkommendes Personal welches auf spezielle Wünsche eingeht. Pluspunkt: vieles ist aus eigener Herstellung, was dem Management sehr wichtig ist.

Meru View Lodge is a delightful oasis either before or after Safari. The rooms are clean ,with lots of hot water, and lovely front porches. The meals were remarkable in that every vegetable, fruit and meat is grown on the adjacent farm…even the coffee is from their plantation. We were warmly welcomed and felt welcome for our 2 1/2 day stay. The children swam to their heart’s content and only came out of the pool for the 4:00 unlimited cake and tea served daily. The gardens are full of flowers and plants that were exotic and beautiful. Really, this is such a fine lodge. My family of 6, ages ranging from 9-76, all highly recommend Meru View Lodge..

Eine sehr schön gelegene Lodge im Tropuschen Garten. Super Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in den Nationalpark bzw. für die Beteigung von Mont Meru. Schöne helle grosse Häuser im unterem Gartenbereich, kleinere Häuschen oberhalb. Ruhig zum Schlafen. Sehr schöne Poolanlage mit fließendem Wasser. Ausgezeichnetes Frühstück mit Obst und frisch gepressten Säften aus eigenem Obst- und Gemüssegarten. Sehr gutes Abendmenü. Manchmal mit einem Fisch vom Viktoriasee und eigenem Gemüsse. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Team. Der Gast steht für alle im Mittelpunkt.

Geweldig hotel omringd door de bergen en gelegen naast Arusha national Park. Allereerst de voorzieningen, er is een zwembad waar je voldoende ruimte hebt om je baantjes te zwemmen en te zonnen. Handdoeken liggen klaar en je kan er ook drankje bij bestellen. Het eten: deed mij vooral denken aan het eten in Indonesie alleen kraakvers, elke maaltijd werd gemaakt met seizoen groente uit de naastgelegen moestuin. Zoo ook de yoghurt, granola fruit en kwark, heerlijk vers en in overvloed aanwezig We hadden 3 huisjes, je krijgt het gevoel dat je in een chalet zit. Rose was de housekeeper die ook extra dingen als de was of het strijk goed deed tegen vriendelijke prijzen. Elke maaltijd bestond uit 4 gangen, zeer gevarieerd. Er was ook ruimte om boven de hectares grond de drone uit te proberen. Geweldige uitvalsbasis met een gastvrouw Susan en gastheer Osman die alles voor ons regelde. Zoals ze met hun omgeving omgaan is het een hotel dat past in deze tijd. Wij komen zeker terug. Dit betaalbare hotel wint het met gemak van de 5 sterren lodges tijdens de Safari.
