Qupqugiaq Inn

The hotel is in the city with few homeless passing hotel but it is not gated. Will not suggest to take rooms on ground floor but second floor with locked entrance for safety. All the rooms are renovated differently and clean enough. Rooms on the second floor are quiet.

Cute acceptable little similarities to a bed and breakfast

The best part of this stay is the staff. John was great. The location is fine. The hotel? Well, don't believe the photo they post. The motel is on a busy street, the traffic is LOUD especially for street-facing rooms as mine was. There are lots and lots of insecure BillyBobs in their huge trucks with BLATBLATBLAT sounds like Harleys screeching by at all hours. It was hard to sleep. The comforter is extremely cheap, old and lumpy. Clean, that's not the issue. The room is very hot, so the fan is on full time but at night. It was late September so it cooled off, but if you are there in summer you'll suffer. There are plenty of bathrooms, so you can stay clean and relieved. The furniture in my room was badly battered and ancient, drawers missing pull knobs and the like. It's the cheapest thing around, they provide coffee, tea and a kitchen downstairs like a hostel or boarding room, but if quiet is important to you, this isn't your place.

DO NOT STAY!!! If I could give this a zero I would. This is clearly a transient hotel. We did not even check in after viewing the room. It was disgusting. The photos online do not give an accurate representation of the “hotel” if you can call it that.
