The hotel is a bit out of town but the hotel offers 24 hours shuttle drops off and pickup in the downtown area. You just need to call them. Very great service.

Our women’s team stayed at Merrill Field Inn in June 2025 and it was honestly a great surprise. Don’t judge this one by its cover — from the outside it might look a bit rough around the edges, but the rooms were clean, spacious, and super comfy. We had three players sharing each room with plenty of space for everyone’s bags, boots etc The staff were so laid-back and always up for a good laugh, made us feel right at home straight away. The free shuttle was a huge bonus, they’ll happily run you to and from the airport or into town. Just remember to tip the driver, they really look after you! The coin laundry onsite was so handy for us $3.50 to wash and $3.50 to dry, and reception will happily swap your notes for quarters so you don’t have to go hunting for change. Breakfast was another win, hot food if you’re up early (first in, best dressed!), plus plenty of cereal, toast, juice, and coffee to fuel the day. All up, we’d definitely stay here again. It’s brilliant value for money, super convenient, and everyone made us feel welcome. Don’t be fooled by the outside, this place does the job and then some!

Unfortunately our experience was not good, the shuttle service was very good and the driver very friendly and helpful. Check in man was not friendly and when I asked about airport transfers he said it wasn’t available except they just picked us up. The room is large and spacious but they sprayed it with freshener which made us cough. There were also 4 larger men and a woman just starring at us going into our room , which as females made us feel uncomfortable. The room over looked an industrial area. We checked out after just over an hour as we felt uncomfortable. The bed covers had cigarette burns , heater was broken and the a/ c unit was covered During winter months this hotel houses the homeless which is a lovely thing But as a female traveler not a comfortable atmosphere to stay in alone or in a pair. I had read the reviews about how clean and great this place was , not sure your room number but definitely not ours. Worst experience and I have definitely stated in older hotels Not recommended

We have stayed at other hotels in anchorage but we always come back to Merrill field inn. It’s a clean no muss no fuss hotel. Friendly staff and pretty good breakfast available.
