Wyndham Garden Anchorage Airport

I cannot recommend this 'hotel' by any means. No concept of word 'hospitality'! - Airport shuttle pickup info Wrong!, And highly unreliable, had to Uber - Low to no maintenance of hotel, collapsed water damaged ceiling in hallway - Broken amenities, juice machine, guest laundry, biz center - Staff doesn't care, little to no response on any requests - Room not well cleaned (found prior guest items in room, including airpod on unvacuumed floor). - Towels literally had holes in them!

Our first stay in October was great; clean, quiet, great breakfast. The second stay right afterwards was terrible. We were kept up all three nights by a mani screaming, kicking the door and banging on the door. His family yelling at him to be quiet and locking him out. The man sounded drunk. At breakfast, the condiments were swiped up by people who were hoarding them. At checkout we were told they were accommodating villagers from the northwest floods. I can understand helping during this time, just wish there was a way to be better prepared to feed them. And possibly do something about the screaming and banging on the doors. Were afraid to leave the room.

We stayed overnight to prepare for our next trip. The hotel staff was friendly at front desk during checkin. Place was near the airport and provided shuttle service (Filipino driver was friendly) going to the airport. The room was clean but some stains on the covers and towels were found, made me worried I might get charged for causing it. The soap dispenser wasn't working good thing I have my own body wash. Breakfast was good: overall the hotel offered a restful quality of sleep for our overnight stay. Bed was comfy and our room was in a quiet area. Hotel needs some updating as it looked worn out.

Price is competitive but they would not answer the phone for the shuttle pickup from the airport. Plan on the added expense of Uber or Taxi to get there from the airport. We were on hold for 15 minutes and finally called Uber. When we finally arrived we had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come to the desk. We requested to check in one hour early and were CURTLY informed that early check in would be an additional $35. I took this opportunity to inform them about the shuttle problem. The receptionist merely shrugged and said sorry. Pay a bit more and stay at Marriott or anywhere but here.

Clean and quiet. No coffee or if the was any would be 2 with no creamers or sugar. Two queens with 2 towels. Front desk was very nice. If you stay for more than a night you will have to rekey your room key
