Xalet Refugi Pere Carné

Me ha encantado la maravilla de transformación que Manel ha hecho a este lugar. Es de lo más bonito y acogedor que me hubiera imaginado ver en este xalet/refugio. Hemos ido hoy, y, Manel nos ha hecho una visita guiada por todo el edificio. Nosotros lo habíamos llevado antes que él hace unos 35 años y verlo así, tan bien decorado y tan bien provisto de todas las comodidades.., que la verdad nos ha emocionado. Es muy reconfortante ver algo que había representado ser un inicio especial en nuestra vida, (veníamos de la ciudad, jóvenes e inexpertos, pero con ganas de cambiar nuestra vida llevando un xalet/refugio de montaña), convertirse en algo tan maravilloso con la transformación que Manel le ha hecho. Seguro que para cualquiera que venga encontrará un lugar muy confortable e íntimo.

A beautiful place, no doubt. But despite having previously mentioned that two of the three of us follow a vegetarian/vegan diet, it seemed to be a strange occurrence that has never been offered at this Xalet. As soon as we arrived, the owner asked us about breakfast, offering us a savory version with cold cuts or cheese, or a sweet one. When I said I don't usually eat cold cuts or cheese, he offered me the sweet version "with butter." No, I prefer a savory breakfast, so bread with tomato would be nice. I don't know if you have anything else? Yes, an apple??? Okay, an apple! (I don't know, but these days, there's so much variety in breakfasts; there's also musli or cereal, but there was none of that. It's a bit ridiculous that the apple isn't listed as an optional extra.) So the next day, we sat down in the dining room with wonderful views. We ordered three coffees with milk, one with oat or soy milk or whatever, but please plant-based. They brought the coffees with cow's milk, and my coffee with nothing. I waited a few more minutes, the coffee getting less hot. Finally, they brought me another cup full of oat milk. They admitted they were wrong, "Of course, we thought it was for a cacaloat," and after I managed to mix my coffee with the oat milk, there wasn't even a knife to cut the apple. If the place were a real "refugi," it would have been much easier to get. But you had to ask the couple for everything, just to see if you were lucky and they were there. Both the salt and the oil. You had to ask for it separately. The coffee was exactly the right amount, there was no second cup... I don't know. For the price we paid, it didn't seem right. And neither did the treatment as if I were some weirdo on an anti-animal abuse diet. The world is changing; this "refugi" doesn't seem to notice.

Sitio súper acogedor, todo muy limpio y cerca de pistas. Hay un ambiente muy tranquilo y transmite calma. El trato ha sido estupendo, familiar y cercano, nos hemos sentido como en casa. El xalet refugio tiene diferentes tipos de habitaciones y baños compartidos, a nosotras nos ha gustado mucho. En cuanto podamos volveremos!! Mil gracias Manel y família por el trato recibido!
