"It's a terrible hotel, the food is awful, they always serve fries and fried eggs. The hotel cost me 400 euros a night for four days, and the room was practically useless. The pool smells bad, and when I was there, there was garbage in the pool and I got a fungal infection."

"Great experience from start to finish. The folks working reception super helpful, the room spacious and comfortable, great location and pretty decent breakfast. The views from the spa are fantastic. The pool could be a little warmer but that's the only negative. We will definitely be back!"

"Mi sobrino y yo Rubén fuimos a hacer BTT y lo pasmaos genial en el Refugi. Gracias a Manel y su compañera encantadora por el trato familiarlos con consejos y rutas para la bici. Buneas instalaciones, tanto de alojamiento como de equipamiento "bike-friendly". Y una cena deliciosa. Rutas espectaculares entre montaña y valle. Intentaré volver en primavera/verano. My nephew and I had a mountain bike weekend at the Refugi. Great food, lovely and friendly owners, and good bike-friendly installation with bike tools. Manel (the owner) gave us advice on routes and was always there to talk to. We had a great weekend, sadly very short, and will definitely be back."

"The hotel clearly shows a lack of maintenance. The terrace floor is broken with loose tiles, the windows have damaged locks secured with a bathroom door hook, the parquet flooring is scratched and broken in places, there's a hole in the bathroom wall plugged with toilet paper, the shower leaks, and the "prototype" telephone wasn't even plugged in or wired... these are just some examples of what we found in the room. We chose a room with a balcony, which costs extra, but the balcony is practically useless as it has no furniture whatsoever. So, if you want to read, sunbathe, have a snack, etc., you have to bring out the dining room chairs and use a bedside table or the bathroom stool as a table. I don't understand the point of paying more for a balcony whose use is questionable. The staff's service is also lacking, demonstrating a lack of experience in customer service, both in their interactions with guests and in resolving requests. In terms of value for money, I find it disproportionate given the condition of the apartments, the services and amenities offered, and the fact that many of the services offered are extra (parking, pool, etc.). The current state of the hotel does not match what was advertised or its supposed category."

"The staff are mostly brilliant. Friendly and helpful. Reception (Nazareth) were great and some of the restaurant and bar staff (Elena, Sariay) too. Our accommodation in a duplex was perfect for a family and well looked after by the cleaners. We enjoyed the half board but the dinners were very variable. Too often the food had been prepared far in advance and was not at its best. However, some dishes were great and the format was good."

"A couple of years ago I stayed at the Refugi Pere Carné with some friends for a long weekend of skiing. We had a 7-bed room to ourselves, use of shared facilities, breakfast and evening meal for the bargain price of £20pp per night. The facilities are clean and warm, the beds are comfortable and the staff very friendly. There's a small bar on site and a fire to make it cosy. I'm actually planning a big group trip back to the same place for next year. The only downside is that the ski lifts at La Molina are a few kilometers from the refuge meaning you really need your own transport, although I understand there is a bus service. As the hotel is quite isolated evening entertainment is limited. As I said before, it's perfect no-frills accommodation for a budget ski break. "
