This lovely historic building, a little off the beaten track, allows you a glimpse into the real Spain, how the locals live! A short walk takes you to the town square where you can mingle with the locals and eat tapas late into the night. On your way, stop at the National Park Tablas de Daimiel for a one of a kind experience.
Response from Property: Thank you so much for your kind words! We're delighted that you enjoyed the authentic charm of our historic building and the unique atmosphere of the area. It’s wonderful to know you took the time to explore the town square and experience local life and tapas culture. And we're thrilled you visited the Tablas de Daimiel National Park — it truly is a special place. We hope to welcome you back soon for another unforgettable stay! Fátima García Jefa de recepción

Poor management left staff to act in a very unprofessional way. No the usual parador standards Very expensive and no value for money

One wouldn’t immediately think this Parador was in a former convent. It was a cross between Don Quixote and Luis XV. Some furnishings was rustic Spanish while others had a country French feel. Our room was a fair size although the bathroom was small. The walls were partially tiled that added to the atmosphere. The room had a safe and mini bar. There were plenty of courtyards and patios as well as numerous guest lounges. The staff was very personable and helpful. On-site parking was plentiful and free. The Parador is about a five minutes walk from the main plaza in town. My one negative was on our second morning there we ordered eggs for breakfast. After waiting 20 minutes we assumed the waitress forgot to place the order, but by then we had eaten other things and didn’t bother to reorder. The bad part was there were only two other couple eating breakfast at that time.
Response from Property: Dear Jaimeelsabio, Thank you very much for your kind commentary. We're really glad that you stay was so satisfactory, highlighting aspects like the courtyards and lounges, as well as our staff. We apologize for the mistake during breakfast, it should not have happened. We hope to receive you again sometime soon. Kind regards, Rafael - Front Desk

Almagro is a lovely town associated with classical Spanish theatre so lots to see. The parador was originally a convent with several courtyards and a small seasonal swimming pool. We had a basic room which was small but comfortable and spotless. Staff friendly. Dinner served in a lovely courtyard.
Response from Property: Dear Ellenor, Thank you very much for your kind commentary. We're very glad that you had a nice stay in our Parador, and that the staff and dinner were satisfactory. We hope to receive you some other time soon. Kind regards, Rafael - Front Desk

Paradores are always first on our list of hotels in Spain. This paradore confirms our thoughts. Beautiful building with numerous internal courtyards and high ceilings halls and wide corridors.

Not a great experience given that the location and building itself are fine. Food - both dinnner and brekfast - was awful. Hot food served cold and over-priced.
Response from Property: Dear Johnnie_Tee, Thank you very much for your commentary. We're really sorry if everything related to the food was not up to the expectations. We don't usually receive such bad commentaries about it, but we will analyze what could have happen in order to improve, as we always do. Kind regards, Rafael - Front Desk

This was our second stay at this amazing property, the communal areas, gardens and courtyards are a delight as was the dining, the beds are comfortable and we all slept well, the only thing we found slightly lacking was the breakfast
Response from Property: Dear charliecharles2025, Thank you very much for your commentary. We're so glad that your second stay in our Parador was pleasant, but we apologize since the breakfast experience was not up to the expectations. We'd love to know what we can improve about it. We hope to receive you again sometime soon. Kind regards, Rafael - Front Desk

Super couple of days but paradors need to review off-season restaurant opening times. 8.30pm is too late. Older/European guests (main guest profile at this time of year?) don't want to eat at 9pm. Open earlier, feed the guests, and let the staff get home earlier when possible! They lost out on 12 dinners.
Response from Property: Dear Mr. Hunter, Thank you very much for your commentary. We're so glad that your stay in our Parador was pleasant, and we take note of your suggestion. You make a great point, so we've decided to open our restaurant at 8PM for dinners in winter, from Sunday to Thursday, which are the days when we have the most foreign guests. We hope to receive you again sometime soon. Kind regards, Rafael - Front Desk
