Spark by Hilton Albuquerque North I-25

There were no knives available at breakfast, only spoons, so I buttered my bagel with a spoon. My husband had a pocket knife, so he used that. There were also no plates, so we used bowls for the bagels, and there were no napkins. So weird. Room was nice and quiet. Sort of weird that there is a windows on the hallway. Pool is large, though we didn't have time to go in. Shampoo and conditioner bottlrs were not attached to the shower wall, but the body soap was. Decent stay, just weird. Oh, and they charged me TWICE for incidentals so I'm keeping a close eye on my credit card statement to make sure they clear both of those.

Jackie The property renovations have really updated the hotel and it seems to be a lot more safer. The rooms are beautifully designed and very comfortable.

Very noisy air conditioning unit; non-smoking room smelled like old smoke; shampoo and soap dispenser wall attachments were broken; no hot food selection for breakfast and 3of4 cereal choices were kid’s cereal. If I had wanted a Super 8, I would have booked that. As a Hilton Honors member, Spark diminishes the Hilton Brand.

The floor of our room was very nice. We liked the layout of the two room suite. It was a very comfortable affordable stay on our way to Flagstaff, Az. Checkout was easy and quick.

The pool and hot tub were dirty, the water was beyond cloudy. The pool temp was cold. Our room AC was very loud and the front desk said they’d fix it. They never got to it during our stay.

My family of four enjoyed the separate bedroom and "living space." Beds were very comfortable. Staff was friendly. Area felt safe. Continental breakfast (not hot) was basically a bagel bar and cereal, but was adequate. Note: (1) in our room the hot and cold water in the shower were switched. My wife and daughter figured it out, but I left it on hot "just giving it time..." and wound up taking a cold shower. (2) Access to the location is difficult and confusing. The road to the hotel is called "Pan American Fwy NE" and so is the access road to the freeway, but they are not the same road. You have to turn at the gas station. Traffic on Montgomery Blvd is very heavy, so making a left turn from Montgomery onto the road to the hotel, or from the hotel making a left onto Montgomery was very difficult. Traffic would often block the intersection, so you just have to be patient and hope for considerate drivers to let you through.
