Fantastic location, facilites are excellent, wonderfull staff, nothing is too much trouble for them, we will be back next year.

Terrible hotel. We were first in for breakfast and hot food was stone cold. The food was covered with flies. We paid for all inclusive but ate out because food was so bad. We were served drinks in small plastic beakers like we are children. The room was in a hot basement with no light. I cried when we arrived. The hotel is very dated and dirty. The sheets weren’t changed all week and that’s hotel policy. If you stay for 7 days sheets won’t be changed that’s the rules given on a sheet of paper we found in the room. All most all staff don’t care about you and are unfriendly. The reception staff were ok. They upgraded our room on our last two days to a sea view apartment but it had ants all over floor and bathroom. Definitely not five star hotel. Not even close.

Stayed 4 nights here in the “5 star hotel”as advertised. I have stayed in better 3 stars. When we arrived at reception I knew we were early and said this to the person behind the desk as I was only expecting to use the luggage room. He looked at the other staff and they both laughed at me. When we got to our room there was no hot water. An awful smell out of one bathroom everyday. Paint coming off the bath also, lucky we had two bathrooms. In the second bathroom the handle rail was loose and as a pregnant woman I nearly slipped in the bath (pictures attached). Eventually the hot water was fixed. Check out time is 10am, staff knocked on the door at 8:30am asking when we are leaving, partner answered as I was resting. We still had plenty of time to check out. I will not stay here again and it definitely doesn’t deserve a 5 star rating. Very disappointed.

I recently stayed at the Muthu Oura View Beach Club on a leisure trip with a friend, and while there were some positives, I left feeling disappointed overall. Rooms: The rooms were a real highlight – very spacious, comfortable, and equipped with excellent air conditioning. Perfect for relaxing after a day in the sun. Pool Area: The pool area is without doubt the hotel’s main selling point. It’s large, has slides and diving areas, and the views over the ocean are stunning. A small but welcome touch was the complimentary glasses of water at the pool bar. However, there are some serious downsides. Despite hotel policy stating that sunbeds cannot be reserved, by 9:30am most beds were already “claimed” with towels, with guests not returning until lunchtime. This was very frustrating and should be actively monitored by staff. The absence of a lifeguard was also concerning given the size of the pool and the diving areas. Hotel & Service: Unfortunately, this is where the experience really fell short. The lifts were out of service for most of our stay, which caused real issues, especially at check-out. With a 20kg suitcase and a 10kg carry-on, I asked the night porter if the lift was broken, and he simply confirmed it was – then stood by and watched as I struggled to carry my luggage up six flights of stairs to reach the exit. My friend, who had a broken elbow, was unable to help. I found this response unprofessional and lacking basic courtesy. Overall: While the spacious rooms and stunning pool views are definite positives, the lack of functioning lifts, absence of lifeguards, and poor staff assistance left a very negative impression. As a travel professional, I would not recommend this property to older travellers or anyone with mobility issues, as the facilities and service do not support their needs.

Hotel Quality – Misrepresented Star Rating This hotel is in no way a 5-star establishment. In fact, it would struggle to qualify for 2 stars based on the condition of the facilities and rooms. The first apartment we were placed in (room 635) was in a poor state: dirty, poorly lit, with no air conditioning control, a foul-smelling bathroom, and a view backing onto a rubbish dump. The access involved two flights of stairs — completely unsuitable for older guests like us — and unlike other rooms, there was no lift access. We requested to be moved, and the next day were told only one other apartment was available. However, we later discovered from speaking with other guests that there were several vacant units. We felt misled again. The second apartment was slightly better, but still far from 5-star standards. General Hotel Condition and Poor Management The hotel as a whole was in a poor state of repair. While many of the staff were friendly and tried to assist, the management was dismissive and unhelpful. Local Uber drivers and even nearby residents described the hotel as “awful,” which unfortunately matched our experience. The food was poor, the hygiene questionable, and the facilities outdated.
