"it has been a great onsen experience as it's got several pools to choose from. A variety of food choices during dinner and breakfast. Even got 4 types of crab legs! The staff are helpful and friendly. They even offered to walk us to the car with an umbrella as it was raining. located beside the river with a beautiful view to offer. A lovely walk along the river. "My husband and I are enjoying staying at a hot spring inn. This time, we stayed at Esan-san, a 5-star inn. The first thing I noticed was that all the staff were young. Recently, hot spring inns are often staffed by older people and foreign trainees, but it's rare to see an inn with so many people working so hard to serve customers, so I hope they will try harder. The old inn itself seems to be in the process of being renovated. The hot spring and the room were clean and nice. For meals, we had food cooked by the hearth in a private room, but it was a bit unsettling because we had to grill it ourselves, and it was a bit disappointing that there was no rice. Rice is better than oyaki. If I visit again next time, I would like to have a kaiseki meal. For breakfast, I had a second helping of rice and it was delicious. I thought it was good for the price. There was no welcoming or seeing off, which felt a bit lonely, but it might be okay since you don't have to worry about anything."

"A successful two-night stay in a serene atmosphere. The inn is very pleasant with beautiful gardens and several baths. We had a room on the ground floor with a large private bath (wooden bathtub): it was very nice. Meals are served in a private room with a person looking after you. We don't speak Japanese but with the telephone translation system, we were able to discuss the dishes. It was a complete dinner with lots of discoveries. There was a party in the village and the reception gave us raffle tickets to participate. Unfortunately the sky was overcast and we didn't see the stars."
