The hotel is very quiet and soundproof, repairing dreams. Just in front of the bar is a bar where you can breakfast, eat or dinner. I would recommend it 100%"

"It's a little far from the city center, but it's cheap and within walking distance. The staff are friendly. There are curtains on the beds, so you can maintain your privacy. There are no locks, but there are lockers."

"Really nice spot to stay on the Camino. Modern new feel to room with air con and phone charging points. Lovely big shower and nice windows. Spacious common area with light breezy feel. A little out from the town but we got a taxi in for €5 - legs too tired!"

"A hotel without charm and very expensive for what it offers… despite having a rustic structure that at first seems like it will be cozy, you feel cold and not because of the lack of heating, but because of the attention and general atmosphere, a fireplace that is not lit on a winter day in the middle of a cafeteria area where you have to notify reception so that someone serves you late and poorly… details that have made my stay negative, I was looking for a small spa with charm and cozy to disconnect for a weekend and it was not like that… the room was just right, a curtain in the bathtub and spider webs on the beams already generate discomfort with respect to cleanliness, which later can be appreciated its lack in the spa. The food was average, very good presentation and quick service in the dining room but the quality is not what was expected with respect to the price in a mountain village with so many good things to offer… the best without a doubt the bread!"

"Lovely little place in the middle of nowhere. Very clean room and comfortable mattress. Lovely service - the hosts made us feel like we were part of their family and made sure we have everything! Unfortunately our experience with the food wasn’t as pleasant though. We had dinner here after a long day on the Camino which has caused us an upset stomach making the next days hike uncomfortable. Soup had no taste at all, the chorizo and chips were too salty and inedible. Would recommend to a stay but not for food!"

"This inn was the worst. The front desk greeter was very rude to our group as we checked in. It’s advertised as having ac. It did not. There are no screens on the windows so when we opened them for air, we were eaten up by mosquitos and flies. When we inquired about fans, we were told they were on order. Keys jammed in doors and were very difficult to open. Our shower head was broken and had to be hand-held. Mold was along the walls in the bathroom and several in our group reported broken shower doors that allowed bathrooms to flood when the shower ran. Dinner was fine. The next morning, we woke up to a minimal breakfast and the sole staff member on site very sick. An ambulance arrived to take her to hospital but apparently there was no other staff member on site to check guests out. We left our keys on the front desk and gratefully left. There are plenty of albergues and inns in town. Pick one of those. We are walking the Camino and have stayed in charming, basic inns that provided clean spaces and excellent customer service. This was not one of them."

"We enjoyed a wonderful stay here whilst walking the Camino. Several reviews complain about the fact that this beautiful hotel isn’t directly on the Camino which is true, however as we were picked up and dropped back of the following morning, we felt that the quality of our stay absolutely outweighed any very minor inconvenience. I appreciate that it is personal choice but I would much rather be a little further away in an exquisite hotel with beautiful surroundings and great food than some of the other lodgings we stayed in closer to the trail. We learnt that the building was 250 years old and it had been lovingly and sympathetically restored to an extremely high standard. The furnishings were of excellent quality and it was apparent that this family run hotel was very much their pride and joy. The hotel is located in a very rural area so the only sounds to be heard was the wonderful birdsong. We stayed at the beginning of May when the rain was relentless so the fire in the dining room and the central heated rooms were very welcome indeed. The weather was my only disappointment as I would have loved to have spent some time relaxing on the loungers in the beautiful gardens which could be accessed directly from my room. Dinner and breakfast were of an excellent standard, again, my favourite meal of the whole trip. Thank you so much Casa Roan, without doubt, a 5* stay!"
