The service very good. The housekeeping staff who brings us the snack every night during our stay, (A Dan) is very nice & friendly 😊 we loved our stay here will definitely stay here again when we visit Zhangjiajie. Ayi A Dan is very warm and kind, she welcomes us with love and provides us with nice snacks at night. The tour service advisor also provides good service for our trip. The tour guide was kind and outgoing, really friendly to our family and provides us with interesting facts and information about the surrounding areas we visit. The hotel room was very exquisite as the room was very clean and was comforting. The bed sheets were clean, the bathroom was clean with great compliments as well as the cupboards having more condiments which help the experience a lot. Overall, the room was great with comforting condiments and was very clean towards customers and that the laundry room was free which helped us a lot during our stay at the hotel.

You get what you pay for, which is not much. Upon arriving, there is no sign that says 'Luyao Inn'. The sign is in Chinese characters. We were dragging our suitcases up and down the alley when the host finally came out. The room was on the second floor (4 flight of stairs) and there are no elevators. We had 4 suitcases and we did not receive help getting those up. The room was small, as indicated in the description. You get two bottles of water, toothbrushes and shower gel, shampoo and a small roll of toilet paper. None of those were replaced. We ran out of water and toilet paper and had to get our own. The host was barely around for us to ask. In any case, those are things that are usually replenished on a daily basis, without needing to ask. There is a kettle. No slippers. The shower and the toilet are in the same unit, therefore everything gets wet when you shower. You get shower slippers that have been used by others and do not look the best. The wall paper is also coming off the walls. The curtain was broken. The bedding had a weird sweat smell. The host was polite but does not speak English. You can communicate with them on wechat. The location is convenient, very close to the cableway station to Tianmen mountain. On our way out, there was someone else working, he helped us with our suitcases. To conclude, one can make do with the the space but do not go in with a lot of expectations (especially if you are used to Chinese hotels that give great service and hospitality).

My flight to ZJJ got cancelled and I had to stay for a night near to the train station. Booked last minute and was thankful that the staff upgraded our room for us. We had a restful night. Room was well kept and there is laundry service downstairs. The staff were highly responsive, kind and helpful. Other than the noise level and crowd even at late night… this hotel will be perfect if you need a location near the train station. 🤩💕

Great location! Not far from the city entrance. You can walk to many attractions from the hotel. The staff so welcoming and helpful. You can book a room with railway pickup service. She gave good recommendations and assist us finding car back to railway station. She even gave hair pin and snack for us to have on the early morning train. The room has some stains on the wall but everything else was clean. It was cozy with all necessary amenities. I wish I can rate more than 5 stars on service.

Great Location and Friendly Staff especially front desk for two nights in November 2024 during a family vacation. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. Our room was spacious and clean, with a beautiful view. The hoteis in a fantastic location, just a short walk from restaurant and popular attractions. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay.

I love the hotel location which is at a quiet neighbourhood, 10 mins walk to the main food street and 15 mins leisure walk to the east gate of forest park. The receptionist was helpful to book the attraction tickets at discounted price and provided all the necessary information. I had an upgraded room which was spacious, modern, clean and comfortable with balcony overlooking the stream. Breakfast was above average, enough to keep us filling. Highly recommended.

Our stay was incredibly clean and comfortable! We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing at the hotel. As a mum, I especially appreciated the free laundry services. The facilities and amenities were new and of high quality, which impressed us. The staff were friendly and patient, assisting us as we navigated without a tour guide. It all worked out wonderfully! We had truly memorable days, and to top it off, there was a small outdoor tent setup serving delicious fried rice and grilled food. We had dinner there for consecutive nights – a must-try!

Room is clean and spacious. Mattress and pillow are firm enough to get a good rest. The hotel even has free service to help you send luggage to the airport. You can pick up your luggage at the airport before your night flight. Washing machines are old and one seems to be faulty. Overall satisfied.

I booked the Huajin room. It's spacious and like most hotels now, the toilet area is quite open without a proper door for you to lock. Thus it's suitable for couples. For friends travelling together, taking their suite is better as you have a big toilet area divided out with wooden doors and lock for privacy. There's no fridge for the Huajin room. Their suite has everything from weighing scale to fridge. Their service is wonderful though. When I feedback about smelling cigarettes in the morning (I booked the non smoking room in a non smoking floor), they apologised earnestly and offered to change a room. Breakfast choice is okie. Not a big spread but a few options for each type.

I paid $191 NZD for 3 nights, pretty good deal! Clean, smart room, looks new, mostly quiet, could hear the hallway noises and some traffic noises (from the 15th floor) but not the next door room noises. Smoking was allowed outside I think, but was not an issue/the room did not stink of cigarettes even though there was an ashtray inside. Staff don’t speak English but with a bit of my Chinese I could communicate with them for the free trip from the West railway station to the hotel (15min car ride away). The bus station was about 10mins walk to catch the 1hr bus to the ZJJ National park, while the Tianmen mountain cable car was maybe 20mins walk away. Some nice restaurants and mini supermarkets nearby too. Would recommend.

We enjoyed our stay in Tai Hotel. The amenities provided were really thoughtful, and the staff were really friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and comfortable. There were also many food options nearby.

This place is great. The girls at the front desk were nice and always in touch. They spoke English to me when I checked in, which is rare 🫶 I only stayed here for three nights, but if I had the time I would have stayed longer. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel was so nice that they upgraded me to a bigger room with a great view of the river. If I ever find myself in this city again, I will definitely stay here. Это место великолепно. The staff were very efficient at check in which is not always the case within China, they photographed our IDs quickly to register us and gave us our room key. All of the rooms are very quirky and different which is a nice added feature (a nice suprise as to what you will get).

The location is right on Wuyi Square. Just go down to the street we can find so many street food stores and shopping areas. The Wuyi Square metro station is in front of the building. It’s very easy to go to anywhere. The staff have a very good service mind.

Convenient and Decent for the Price If you’re looking for a budget-friendly place that’s convenient and does the job, this is it. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s clean enough and easy on the wallet. The location is super convenient—close to everything I needed, which made it easy to get around without any hassle. The room itself was fine for a short stay, though there was a faint smoke smell that I noticed when I first walked in. Not ideal, but it wasn’t overwhelming and I got used to it pretty quickly. Honestly, it’s not the kind of place you’d rave about, but it served its purpose. If you’re just looking for somewhere to crash that’s cheap and decent, it works. Just keep your expectations reasonable, and you’ll be fine.

I had a wonderful stay at Chang Hotel near Wuyi Square and the IFS International Financial Center in Changsha. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. One of the highlights was the in-room breakfast service, which was not only convenient but also delicious, with a great variety of options. The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a busy day. The hotel’s prime location made it easy to explore the city.

This was my first time travelling to Changsha on my own and I booked this wonderful hotel.  As a solo traveller the smallest room is large enough for me.  There is a smart tablet to control all appliances, however if you have difficulty to master technology, ordinary switches are also mounted on the wall, which are definitely easier to use.  Basic toiletries are provided, but in case you need additional items like razors or paper towels, or other room services, you just scan a code by Wechat Application then a robot will make your delivery to the room.  If you do read some Chinese it will be fine; otherwise you have to contact the staff through telephone.  Don’t be surprised that the concierge is on the 11th floor yet you see a bar when the lift arrives, soon you will know that each room can enjoy a bowl of Chinese porridge and a glass of cocktail free of charge every night; that’s where you finish your shot after checking in.  Remember to take one before going to bed, plus some free snacks.   There is also a karaoke area and it allows me to connect my music library to the broadcast system and sing along.  First time in my life! Here I would like to say thank you to a young receptionist who surnamed Chen.  Not only did he handle enquiries at the front desk, but he was also responsible for fruit and wine preparing at the lounge.  Although he didn’t show super mixology skills, he worked very hard!  On the day of arrival the karaoke system had some problems, he contacted the technician at once so that I could sing after fixing.  Laundry service is also available, but unlike other hotels where I have to bring the clothes to the machine room, here I just place my request by phone and they will finish the washing for you at zero cost.  Amazingly it was Mr Chen again who came to my door for collection; an industrious boy! The hotel is located in the city centre and a direct bus ride from Changsha train station (No.112) only takes 20 minutes.  This also makes its only demerit because those busy street noise can still be heard in the room at late night (not the hotel's fault), but you may ask for earplugs for a better sleep.

We stayed for 2 nights and our room was upgraded. It is very pleasant to stay there. They always greet us warmly. We booked our ticket to national forest with lower price and help us for itinerary inside the forest. The itinerary was perfect. We enjoy very much. Without the itinerary, of course we will lost. We also booked ticket for romance show from the hotel. In the lobby, they have snacks and hot tea. Mineral water also provided full.

We enjoyed our stay so much with another couple friends! The hotel provided free pick up service from high speed rail station so that was the first good impression . Room was spacious, beautiful decorated and clean. It is located at a perfect location (behind the Tianmenshan cable car station, restaurants, shops around) . The staff was super friendly , warmth and welcoming . Especially Ms Xiong 熊管家. We came back to stay for another night and arrived very early so she kept a look out for any empty room available so we could check in early .

Very good service in give National Forest guide direction For people who first time coming to Zhangjiajie like us, this hotel has very good service. They provide some staff that assist tourists to get a guide direction in Zhangjiajie National Forest route. This national forest park is very huge. The entrance ticket is available for 4 days visit. So you can imagine how big this area is. Therefore, if you do not have enough time, you need a brief information that helps us arrange the excellent routes so that we can get the point of view and enjoy it. That is the purpose of this staff, to help us, bravo! Thanks to Huan Huan, female staff, your instruction is awesome. The hotel room is spacious enough, but lacks of wardrobe. Breakfast is amazing with many varian cuisine. There is a free laundry service that is very helpful for long tourists like us. The kind thing is this hotel put drinking water (bottles) everywhere. It is very pleasant, so hotel guests do not worry about drinking anymore. One more satisfying thing is the drain shower. The water pressure is strong but soft. Getting our body washed with a treatment like this after a tiring journey is very enjoyable.

This was the best experience l've ever had in any accomodation. We were looked after so well from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Fang Fang was so helpful with everything and it made our trip so easy. She arranged affordable transport for us everywhere including free pick up from drop off from the train station, helped us plan a trip to suit all our needs as well as book discounted tickets. She offered us tea which was so nice when it was cold outside and was super helpful with every question we had. Communication with her was amazing even when we were out and about. The room was also spacious and breakfast was tasty. The amount of time she spent with us made us feel so special and we will miss it, I’d recommend this place to everyone!

Absolutely 5 stars staying experience. The staffs are super friendly, they started welcoming the moment we stepped out from the taxi, helping us to carry our luggages. The front desk staff, Yen Zi, was very helpful and friendly. This hotel provide ”butler” service via wechat and private car to transfer guests from hotel to the ”Red Bridge” and return. The interior design is very Zen feel. Our room is facing the river bank and the back of the hotel is connected to the ancient city. Definitely will stay here again if we ever come back to this ancient city in future.

Staff were very friendly. You can get recommendations from them on the best route to tour Fenghuang. We had big luggage with us (28”/30”& 32”). The accommodations do not have an elevator. The staff kindly carried all our luggage to our room when we checked in and down to level 1 when we checked out. Tip for travellers: if you are not expecting to do much shopping. Would be better to travel light.

For the price we paid the Chun Pu room, it is not quite worth it. The cleanliness is not good, when we checked in, we noticed urine stains on the toilet bowl seat. I complained to thr boss and he wiped and clean with cloth without doing sanitiser. Then only I requested for sanitiser then he got it for me and I sanitised the toilet seat myself. Thr location of the hotel is good with good river view. The lady staff also nice to pick us from train station. That is a plus point.

I took a long time researching and almost booked 2 other Instagram popular Minsu only to cancel and take this one instead. I am glad I did because this Minsu has the best view in whole of Furong Town! Many people make the mistake of wanting to stay right and close by the waterfall but the beauty of Furong Town is the wide landscape view of its ancient grounds and gorgeous waterfalls. As such, a view from a certain distance will be the most ideal and the most perfect. We simply love this accommodation! This Minsu is located by the entrance of the Furong Ancient Town. As you start your exploration into the town, you will be taken along multiple paths that will eventually lead you to the waterfall, as you walk through the trail and enjoy the waterfalls. Continue down and hike up into the cliff side steps until you see signages that point towards an exit. You will see some structures that is half built- walk up and then walk straight out and a left turn and you find yourself right back at the Minsu! The location is simply brillant ! We stayed in the 2 bedder suite and had such a wonderful time in the room enjoying the comfortable beds and the great view, we found ourselves lounging indoors most of the time only venturing for a bit outside when the weather was cooler. We will definitely recommend anyone to come and stay in this Minsu. Be sure to also have your dinner there , the food is good and views even better! You will not regret! The Minsu provides to and fro from the railway station , please add them in WeChat and arrange! They are very friendly !

The homestay was booked on the high-speed rail, and a master came to pick me up as soon as I got out of the station. The room I stayed in was very new, and the window had a river view. Although it was facing the street, it was quiet. The breakfast was simple and suitable for me. It is worth mentioning that some people in the ancient city will take pictures for you without your consent when you take pictures, and then ask you if you need any service. Such behavior seriously affects the interest of the tour. The person holding the camera and hanging the iPad in the picture is the person I mentioned who takes pictures.

Stayed one night and highly recommend. Hotel came and picked us up from the railway station and dropped us back. Booked the panorama room which had good views. Hotel is not overlooking “the waterfall” but has a nice view of the water and town before the waterfall. Got beers from the fridge next door and sat on the balcony and watched the town at night. Location is within the town and need to pay to enter the scenic town but staff will help. Staff speak English and via Wechat and happy to help! Highly recommend this hotel and thank you for looking after us. We got breakfast at their restaurant, steamed buns and soup and was the best tasting breakfast so far! Thank you

Hotel location is excellent. Right in the midst of town centre. Room is spacious, clean and has an excellent view of the ancient city cum river. Only challenge is the low ceiling between the bedroom and the living room. Also note that living room has a pitch roof with low ceiling on both ends. Being a refurbished ancient building, the hotel is located on the 3rd floor without any lift. Great service provided though to carry our luggage up and down during check-in and check-out. Highly recommend :)

Our stay here was good. The girl at reception is very kind and always wants to help, and even gave us a lift to the train station when we left, but you need to ask in advance. The hotel is right next to the scenic area of Furong. Our balcony and room were beautiful- but our mosquito net was broken so the room got very damp. Also there was some mould on the curtain in the bathroom and the chair on the balcony. The breakfast was free and very nice, although the kitchen it is cooked in looks a bit unclean which put me off. There was free snacks but no free water which we have experienced everywhere else in China. It looks beautiful at night. I wish it was cleaner.

Pros- Great location by the river, beautiful and close walking distance to the food shops, famous bridges and the red lady singing on the boat (5-10mins). Clean warm room. Bit of scuff marks and stuff on the walls and wooden furnitures but overall charming, nice and modern and no like stinky smells from the river/mosquitoes/cigarettes etc. Warm showers and has all the standard amenities (hairdryer, soap shampoo, shaver etc). The manager is super friendly and hospitable even though she doesn’t speak English she really tries her best to help. Cons- noisy bars and karaoke until 11pm, tour groups in the morning start like at 7am below the balcony (maybe one or two when I was there 2 days) and 9am construction work starts. The free tour is sadly in Chinese only, and the free outfit doesn’t include photos or makeup, it is about 199 yuan for that but if you don’t want photos or makeup it’s free. Don’t think they wash the outfits super often either. Laundry is apparently not a proper one and you have to hand wash. No lifts if you have a lot of luggage.
