There were many free services and I was very satisfied.
There were play areas both indoors and outdoors for children, so I enjoyed my hotel stay even though it was winter.
Mother Farm was also close by. Incidentally, it was cheaper to buy tickets to Mother Farm at the hotel than to buy them in advance online, so I was glad I realized that before buying them.
Alcoholic drinks and rusks were available in the lounge after checking in, and they were delicious.
I was told that they were no longer serving meals, so I bought some bento boxes and rice balls, but the view of the open-air bath and the hot springs was really nice♪
The open-air bath is only available once per night, but on the first day it was very windy so I couldn't go in at all, so I was happy that they gave it to me the next day for free✨
The wind was strong and the stars were beautiful so I wanted to go in on the first day, but the view the next day was also pretty beautiful✨
You should definitely go✨
A great trip. I have always liked the Naxu Plateau, the natural scenery is good, and the feeling is very open. Although it is winter, it has a special style. The Akaze Hot Spring we booked is located by the river and opposite the mountain view. The boss, the proprietress and his wife are warm and talkative, and they feel like old friends who have not seen them for a long time.
Glampark tent hotels have always wanted to try. It is said that each tent is chosen in a super cold, but the natural scenery is super hot spring hotel. I thought the tent would be very cold in winter, but after soaking in the hot springs, I returned to the house, and there was a warm Japanese-style warm table. My friends drank and chatted together. They talked at 3 o'clock in the middle of the night. Midway, the lights in the house were all turned off, listening to music together, looking up through the tent and staring at the sky, the troubles of the city were swept away.
A pleasant trip beyond expectations, the only downside is that when I get up in the morning, the tent is a bit dripping due to condensation. This time I live in a forest room. When I am in other seasons, I must come back to live in a riverside tent room. In short, super recommended!
The hotel is very comfortable, the waiter's attitude is very good, the room is very good, but the Japanese restaurant experience is too bad, the waiter is seriously unfriendly to Chinese people, we 6 people spent 8,000 RMB dinner 🍾️ the product is not sorry for the charge, the service attitude is not friendly, Chinese people are friends all over the world, can you be more friendly
For a Regional area like Utsunomiya, I cannot help but rave about how amazing Candeo Hotel Utsonomiya is. Starting from the location; it’s not even 5 minutes from the station so if you have heavy suitcases; there’s barely any hassle to get to the hotel. There’s also a 7-11 right below the hotel so if you need a bite at 2-3 am, you know where to go: there’s also some amazing restaurants right below the hotel so id also say it’s super convenient. In terms of the room, the room was very well maintained with elegant design and very cozy. Room size was sufficient enough and also very comfortable. And the breakfast is just amazing. Every day different soups and just delicious salads with super fresh fruit. 6 out of 5 on the breakfast. And lastly the service, just very very helpful and extremely polite and patient. Some understood English and some understood basic but with google translate it was a piece of cake. They also helped me transfer my luggage from their hotel to the next in another city. Overall just a 5 on 5 rating for every aspect of the hotel.
Went for work, staff wasn’t the nicest but were accommodating enough - the night staff was a little rude, but the morning staff the next day was kind enough. I had time to kill in the lobby, where there were free massage chairs, though they were a little beaten up.
There were food and drink dispensers as well as a hot water heater and microwave for use. There are also public onsen style baths that I did not take advantage of, but they had many selections.
The room I stayed in was nothing special, but was fine for the night I was staying. The location is not great but not terrible, as there is a supermarket nearby open until midnight
My biggest piece of advice would be to rent a car if you are staying here; I took a cab then walked to the station the next day after my business in the area was done
A traditional Japanese hot spring hotel located next to Kamibashi. I stayed with 11 friends, and the hotel provided a banquet hall for us to have dinner and breakfast; everyone felt at home. The quality of the food was very good, but the chestnut rice for dinner was disappointing. The autumn maple scenery on the inclined road between Kamibashi and the hotel in the early morning is very beautiful.
Very comfortable hotel experience, we stayed for two nights. This home is not central in the daylight, but not far from the main attractions. After booking, the hotel will send an email to inform you of the check-in details. Upon arrival at the Nikko Station, you will be picked up by car. Checkin first sent a drink, sparkling champagne and matcha are very good, and the 跪 service is very thoughtful. We chose two Western-style beds plus tatami. The name of the guest will be affixed to the door of the room. The two people sleep very much. The outside is a beautiful courtyard view. Each room has an independent hot spring. In fact, there are basically no people in the big bath. (Because the hotel rooms are not too much), they are basically exclusive. At the hotel, I tasted two Kaiseki dinners and breakfasts. The patterns were different and the roads were delicious. Each room was arranged in a small box and the privacy was very good. In the morning, there are milk and wheat tea in the hot springs. In the morning, I can go to the sights to play and there are cars that can be sent to the Toshogu Shrine. In the afternoon, I am tired and make a phone call. I immediately have a car to pick up the cards at the designated place. It is also very thoughtful. In short, it is definitely a good hotel that I would recommend to my friends.
Located between Tobu Nikko and JR Nikko, the location is very good. You can store your luggage at the hotel before traveling, without having to store luggage at the station. The room is very clean and not small. The triple room can spread out the luggage. It is similar to the structure of placing mattresses on tatami, and the distance between the beds is relatively narrow. I ordered a set meal with dinner, which I personally don’t recommend. The hotel gives vouchers for dinner (2,500 yen per person), and you take a shuttle bus to a place similar to a food court. The time is relatively fixed. The choice of variety and taste is actually good, but if you have the conditions to eat local dinner, this is not the best choice
The biggest feature is that you need to take a monorail tram to stay. The hotel is very new. The rooms are large and comfortable. Each room has a private soup on the balcony. The dinner can also be steamed and the cow is very special. The small restaurant will provide small buns at 6 pm, ramen at 10 pm, and there will be yoga, milk, lactic acid bacteria in the morning, and 24 hours. Small popsicles are provided. There are massage chairs and tea and coffee in the leisure area. The disadvantage is that the private soup should be circulating water, and the hotel does not have an outdoor area to visit, check-in and check-out may need to wait in line for the small tram.

JJR_DYReally nice room with an epic view of the lake and enough space for everything. Meals are wonderful and abundant and a seasonal selection each day Perfect place to stay if you are planning to explore okunikko area or to cycle around the lake, there are also restaurants nearby for lunch. The public bath is very pleasant with an outdoor spring to soak in while enjoying an open sky. Found out there was a shuttle bus back to tobu-nikko station setting off at 11am from the hotel after speaking to a kind staff member, Diane. Do make reservations for the shuttle beforehand at the reception if you plan to take this as well. Rental bikes available at the Nikko natural history museum which is a 10min walk from the hotel
AAnonymous UserThe three of us walked up from Kinugawa Station. It took about 15 minutes to walk. It was mid-December and the red leaves had not yet receded. The environment along the way was beautiful. The hotel is a one-way hotel-specific cable car up. It is very unique and different from other hotels. Breakfast and dinner are all Japanese-style, with careful ingredients, fresh and delicious.
黎黎The family is in their 30s. The room is large and the dinner is very luxurious. It is worthy of the specifications of the New Year’s Eve dinner. The service is very meticulous and thoughtful. The hot spring does not feel any minerals, but the venue is large and has an open air. When we left, we had a lot of luggage and took the initiative to drive us to the station, generally affordable
GGuest UserThis was my first time for staying in ryokan. This ryokan has such a delight, warming services and very nice hotel staffs. Although I can not speak japanese, the language did not bring me any problems because we could use google translate and some of the innkeeper can speak English. I felt like I stay in my home and very enjoyed interacting with both hotel staffs and shiobara people. Besides, foods there were so delicious.
- traditional japanese food: they wrote a welcome note and descriptions of food in paper (in japanese) eg. Fish came from river beside hotel, everything was from local which I really really love it.
- local venison(deer meat): must try yakiniku
If you wanna avoid chaotic environment in the city, I would reccommend this place because you would feel a part of nature (natural sound is so nice) and you can find a true calm of your soul.
We were very surprised because we were only foreigner tourist in the hotel.
Thank you innkeeper and staff for caring us. We always miss there when we come back to busy city!
CcckentThe hotel is great! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with many facilities like karaoke, a game center, and more. I visited with my family, a total of 14 people, and they were able to arrange a private room for us for both dinner and breakfast. Both meals were buffet-style and absolutely delicious.
The onsen experience was wonderful, and the view from the onsen was fantastic, with a beautiful view of the Kinugawa River.
However, there was one issue: when we checked in, the reception took our passports for photocopying. Unfortunately, they missed returning one of the passports to us. It wasn’t until after we checked out and reached our next stop that we realized one passport was missing. We had to go back to the hotel to take it.
Despite this, the overall experience was great, and I would still recommend the hotel.
IImdoubThe overall accommodation experience was very good, especially the environment and drink supply in the lobby, which was very warm.
The room feels spacious and the environment is comfortable. The view outside the terrace is stunning.
The hot springs are also very good. The men's and women's hot springs will swap in the morning and evening, so you can enjoy the hot springs on both sides.
There is also a buffet in the morning and evening. Personally, I think the morning buffet is better!
It is some distance away from Kinugawa Onsen Station. When passing the station, you will pass a long staircase. Passengers with suitcases and not self-driving should be careful.
Lll55The hotel is right by the lake, and you can see the sparkling lake from the room. The hotel's specialty is the hot springs, which include men's and women's baths and a private bath, all of which are considered indoors. It's very comfortable to soak in a hot spring, especially when there are not many people. We soaked in it several times, and the private baths were always available. The bedroom is in Japanese tatami style, which is also pretty good. The breakfast is also quite rich. The bathroom facilities are a bit simple and old, and it's possible that people would go to the hot springs instead of taking a shower in the bathroom.
CCasual travellerLocation is super, very near to Nikko Station, room is adequate if traveling with very light bag pack. Hotel has a small onsen facility (bathhouse), do check with the counter staff on the operating hours. There are nearby super-mart (family mart is just across the road and another one within walking distance) which makes it great to get snacks for the night. Shops/cafe closes relatively early.

GGuest UserSince it's a private stay with a specific purpose, I'm very grateful that it's close to my destination.
Utsunomiya Yuinomori is a very man-made town, so there are only chain stores, convenience stores, and large supermarkets, so it's difficult to find a decent meal and you have to drive everywhere.
It's neither good nor bad, just the usual Route Inn.
