Hot spring Hotels in Oita Prefecture, Japan

Rooms are a tad bit small but standard for japanese hotels. Location is very good, a few minutes walk from Beppu station and lots of eateries closeby. I love that this hotel had a rooftop pool with amazing view of beppu (although pool very shallow). We had a nice little soak in the hotel onsen however my partner stated the onsen was a bit dirty in the male section. We unfortunately didn't get to enjoy the free flow of alcohol for 1000 yen due to time constrain but would be good for alcohol lovers! Would definitely recommend and return! Nice, clean and friendly staff!

This JR hotel is one of the most unique of all as it has a rooftop onsen (19-21F). It comes with a 150yen per pax per night charge when you stay here. 21F is gender separated outdoor onsen! Was a surprise as we did not expect it to be so nice with the current weather. Parking is 1000yen per night with the car park at the mall side and is linked to the hotel reception by an elevator. Location is superb for non-driving too as it is within 1 min walk from the JR Oita station. We used the onsen for all the nights we stayed. Super good value.

Even though I checked in a little late due to my schedule, they were really kind. Really..! They helped me carry my luggage to the room and even called a taxi for me after I checked out. And the facilities were really good, especially the hot springs.. The women's bath is much bigger and better than the men's bath. The family bath is also good ㅠㅠㅠ I'll have a good stay and go.

The service staff is very friendly. Parking is very convenient for people who drive. The six-person room is large and comfortable. I will definitely visit again.

The room with the onsen was convenient and offered a great experience. It was spacious enough for three adults with large suitcases, and the futon was very comfortable. Dinner was excellent as well. A wonderful place to stay! The staff was amazing, reaching out a week before our check-in to ask about our group and dinner preferences. We were so happy with our stay. Very nice well kept traditional ryokan. If you are expecting modern do not stay here. Hotels like these are older and have been around for many years but are well maintained. I love sleeping on tatami - I slept for 10 hours! Unfortunately I felt a bit dumbfounded when the dinner included is just ramen. On the trip.com photos there are two photos of meals and I assumed one was dinner and the other breakfast. Maybe this use to be the case but trip/ the hotel should specify better what is being served. Especially in small towns there aren’t many dinner options - there is an Aeon (supermarket) a short walk of course if you’d like a bento dinner instead. Also no wifi in the room. As an international traveler I had to up my esim data for the day. They don’t advertise wifi in the room - they have it in the lobby so it wouldn’t be hard to get an extender to the rooms. The onsen was nice however I found the outside onsen made a lot of noise- I’ve been to many onsen and this was the first that ever made noise from the filter so it wasn’t as relaxing as it could have been. Overall decent stay but probably wouldn’t go back

Fantastic service from super hotel. Location is very convenient around five minutes walk from Beppu station. Lobby is located on level two so you will need to take a lift. However the service is amazing. There are welcome drinks when you arrive. I believe there’s alcoholic drinks as well during a certain period as well between 6-9pm. You’re also able to select your Pillow according to its hardness or preferences and you can choose up to 5 amenity items these include facial mask, vitamin C serums to shavers etc. Because it is Beppu there is Also hot spring. however I would probably have liked to have it a bit bigger pool and to have an outdoor spa. All in all it was much value for money and I would go there again.

This hotel is very convenient if you are taking bus from Hakata Bus Terminal. It stopped right in front of the hotel. Inside the hotel, it has tourist information counter where tourists can buy bus pass etc. Room and toilet are small and is common in Japan, but they are clean and stay is comfortable.They have 1 indoor and outdoor onsen. Opposite the hotel is a departmental store and is 10 mins walk to Beppu train station. Beppu tower is just a short distance walk from hotel. If you are taking a bus to Yifuin, bus stop 1 is just nearby, opposite direction of hotel. I will recommend this hotel if you are coming to Beppu.

Although it is quite a distance from Beppu Station (if you don’t want to walk, you can take a bus and get off at Beppu Tower), but it is worth it for the sea view. The hotel is also very considerate in informing the sunrise time in the elevator the next day, which can be enjoyed in the room or on the embankment. Great. The room has a sense of age but is very spacious. It is very enjoyable to take a bath and look at the scenery. The service staff are kind and courteous. If you arrive at the hotel early, you will go through the formalities first and give you a voucher. Then your luggage will be delivered to the room. When you want to check in later, you can just hand the voucher to the counter.

The facilities may look a little old, but they were clean and well-maintained, so there was no inconvenience at all! There was a train track and a very pretty mountain on the way to the accommodation, so I took a lot of pictures! The location of the accommodation was good because it was about a 20-minute walk from Yufuin Bus Terminal, but it was a bit far from tourist attractions such as Kinrinko Lake and Plant Village! However, the accommodation provided free bicycles, so it took about 20-30 minutes to ride a bicycle to the tourist attractions!! I pulled my bicycle around on the crowded streets, but it was hard to pull it every time, so I just left it in one place and played around, but luckily no one stole it. The tourist attractions are grouped together, so it was easy to travel, and there were definitely a lot of walkers! It seemed like a lot of Japanese people also traveled there! The best thing was the hot spring!! I bought a raw egg at a convenience store and made an onsen egg! (But maybe because it was cold, the water wasn't hot, so I soaked it for a long time.) I don't think they change the hot spring water every time, but that's how Japanese bathing culture is! The shower area before entering the hot spring was cozy and had warm water and all the shower supplies, so it was very comfortable and nice! The heating was controlled by a heater, so it was a little dry, but I think it wasn't bad because I slept with a wet towel! I slept on a tatami room with a blanket, and it was softer than I thought, and I didn't bring pajamas because they said I could wear a yukata..ㅎ The owner was also very kind, and I paid the hot spring fee separately on site! It only accepts cash! (We paid 500 yen for 2 people) I didn't think there would be a good restaurant for dinner, so I bought a lot of dinner on the way back from the tourist site to the accommodation because there were many convenience stores! (Try eel rice bowl for lunch!! I recommend Yufu Mabushi Shin Main Branch!!) There was welcome sake, and there was cold water and boiled water! It seemed to boil automatically when the temperature went down to a certain level, which was amazing.. There was a refrigerator, microwave, and Wi-Fi! You should bring a pig nose! Oh, and the train tracks are close, so you can hear the sound of the trains from time to time! But it's okay because they don't run while you're sleeping!! I went there right after I arrived because they said they could store my luggage, and it was super convenient because I was able to check in right away!! (I think I went around 11:30) Next time, I want to come with my mom and older sister for a mother-daughter trip! ㅎㅎ(tmi..^_^)

Room is clean and the onsen is wonderful. But the best is the dinner and breakfast! Will come back again!

My friend and I stay at this hotel for 3nights.  The hotel is very clean and staff were friendly. We very enjoyed  onsen there. The hotel breakfast was pretty good but It would be more better if they change like typeA & typeB every single day. We had to have same breakfast for the first 2days. 

The rooms at this ryokan are very spacious and clean. There is no separate shower booth in the room, but there is a sink, and among the three baths on the first floor, the single room (one) has a high turnover rate, so it was not very inconvenient. There was an English-speaking staff, and they were very kind, which was nice. You can check the availability of the open-air hot spring bath on the first floor through a tablet PC in your room and go down to use it. The breakfast buffet, which mainly serves Japanese home-cooked meals, is also excellent. After eating, I recommend taking a walk along the stream in front of the ryokan. If you go to Yufuin, I would definitely recommend this accommodation. The ryokan pub is closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and dinner may be closed if you arrive late, so please check in advance.

How cost-effective it is. Small business. There is a pick-up service after 3pm. We will take you to the station when you leave. There are only 6 rooms. Basically no one is using the public hot springs. You can go in at any time. It is no different from private ones. The meals are like family dishes. There are Mandarin-speaking work-study students. No need to worry about communication problems.

When we arrived at the hotel we were warmly greeted by the owner and the staffs at the parking lot. We were luckily upgraded to the room with private onsen and it was an amazing experience. The dinner and breakfast were both delicious and the room was very comfortable. We absolutely enjoyed our experience here.

The location is very close to Jinlin Lake and can be reached in about 5 minutes. But if you need to go near the inn at night, it is not convenient because there are few street lights on the road and it is very dark. The room facilities are a bit old and the design is a bit old-fashioned. When I first checked in, I felt that the toilet smelled smelly. One of the wash basins had a broken plug and could not hold water. Some of the lights in the living room were broken. The daily necessities Pola included in the room are very useful. Breakfast and dinner were rich and delicious. The restaurant staff are very pleasant and pleasant. There is an additional 500 yen hot spring tax per day for check-in.

Super amazing environment and nice staff. The room and the in-room onsen is 10/10. The only drawbacks are the location and the food wasn’t really well seasoned. I was expecting more from their food.

The hotel is close to Beppu Station next to, very convenient, the hot spring has two floors, will change once a day, it is them arranging hotel rooms a little problem, we are 4 people, booked two rooms, they even arranged for us one room on the eighth floor, one room on the ninth floor. Also asked other guests, they were six, also arranged rooms on the 7th, 8th, 9th floor each, very inconvenient, if you remember to tell the hotel in advance when booking

The transportation is convenient, only a three-minute walk from Beppu Station. There are some restaurants nearby, so it is convenient to eat. The infinity pool on the roof is very good. If you come here in the summer, it will be very pleasant to sunbathe and swim. The water temperature is okay in the winter, but it is too cold to swim. The hot spring on the top floor is great. There is a hot spring pool with a view of the outdoors. It is very comfortable to soak in it, and you can also have a sauna. However, AMANEK Inn and AMANEK are not in the same building. You need to walk from the first floor to the main building in the open air, which is inconvenient if it rains.

Overall experience of staying at Seikaiso was very good. The location is close enough to the Beppu station(walking distance 10mins) and bus terminal is 2mins away. The best experience of this Ryokan is the hot springs and private bath on the rooftop. Breakfast is served per room on booking time with Japanese style breakfast. It was various dishes and delicious! The front staff/restaurant staff/general staff are all friendly and helpful. Especially at the front desk staff Urabe was amazing. He also speak good English so it was very helpful. He helped us everything what we need. 🙏🏼 We will definitely go back to Seikaiso again.

Location- 1 minute walking to Oita station. Room - Smaller than expected, cannot open an L size luggage. Bed is standard size. The room is clean Facilities - very comfy hot spring at the roof floor, you can take the Ramen afterwards Breakfast - nice Japanese style breakfast Overall it is highly recommended

“ 저렴한 가격에 장기 투숙하기 좋은 숙소” 오이타역에서 도보 15분 거리로 접근성이 나쁘지 않으며 돈키호테를 비롯한 주요 편의시설이 근거리에 위치해있음. 캡슐룸의 경우 별도의 문이 달려있어 어느 정도의 프라이버시는 보장됨. 하지만 밀폐된 목조 캡슐 형태라 여름에는 잠옷이 다 젖을 정도로 더우며 방음에 취약함. 층마다 보안카드를 찍고 들어가야하며 개인 짐을 보관할 수 있는 라커와 흡연실, 자판기, 화장실, 세면대 등이 있음. 샤워는 3층에 위치한 대욕장을 이용해야하는데 수건, 칫솔, 면도기가 잘 구비되어있으며 비교적 청결하게 관리되고 있음.
