Hot Springs Hotels in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan

A very nice stay in the city of Kumamon! Staffs are friendly, the room is big, amenities are well prepared. Had a three-night stay in the same hotel and enjoyed the convenience of it as it’s right next to the JR Kumamoto station with bus stops nearby and connected to the AMU plaza.

Amazing stay. If you have a car I recommend here. The dinner and breakfast was amazing and the staff were super friendly. I spoke a little Japanese and they were so patient with me practicing. The outdoor onsen was the best I’ve stayed at and I could even see some stars at night! Only down side was there was no wall plug next to my bed. Only recommendations is I wish Onsen had ‘adult only’ bathing time as a Single female traveler I’m not the biggest fan of children during my bathing time because of noise.

The hotel had Large rooms with good facilities and all rooms had excellent views of either Mount Aso or the Aso valley. A good public and private hot Spring rooms. The service was exceptional throughout. We were fortunate enough to be helped by Bishnu who was incredibly friendly and helpful.

The hotel is located at the centre of 黑川溫泉區, which is quite rural so highly recommended to go by car. The service is excellent! The staff helped us to park the car and take the luggages up the stairs to our Japanese style family room. We have ordered full board package and both meals are gorgeous. There are many onsens in the hotel which are non-reserved and private, allowing family to enjoy onsen together. One drawback is that there are many stairs so elderly might have to take it into consideration.

The Japanese were so punctual. They picked us up at Kurokawa Station at 3 o'clock, not a minute late. We arrived at Kurokawa Onsen at 11:30 in the morning. They drove over to put our luggage at the hotel. We had dinner with the help of the wall. The taste depends on everyone's taste. Everyone has different tastes. The best one is the one that suits you. There are hot springs in the room and outside, divided into open-air and non-open-air. Overall, it was ok to stay for one night.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Yamamizuki. I wish I had stay for another night. Service from everyone there was heartwarming. Room was clean and spacious. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Not to mention the huge open air onsen was the best of all. The onsen was by the creek. Be careful the temperature was quite high. They have English speaking staff. Only one little thing. There seemed to be a shortage of towels (?). I accidentally got my large bath towel wet and would like to exchange another one. However, I was told to hang the towel dry because each guest can only have one bath towel. I just thought hotels in general have lots of towels. It’s not a big deal though. I’d suggest to bring at least one of your own large bath towels to Kurokawa Onsen. I believe this is one of the best onsens in Kurokawa. I’d love to come again during autumn!

The hotel is located near Aso Volcano, which is very good for self-tourists. The hotel's breakfast and dinner are very good. There is an all-you-can-drink buffet barbecue for dinner. There are many kinds of food. The A4 Wagyu beef is very delicious and worth a try.

I had an enchanting two-night stay at this hotel, where the picturesque view of the river from my room added a serene touch to the experience. The onsen was a highlight, boasting a spacious interior and a tranquil outdoor area. Kurokawa Yumeng Rindan Hotel is the most satisfactory and comfortable hotel I stayed in during my trip to Kitakyushu. The hotel has an excellent location. It is the first hotel after the station. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, the warm and thoughtful service made me feel comfortable. The front desk staff was smiling, and the beautiful girl who could speak Chinese carefully introduced the hotel's facilities and services. The hotel's rooms are unique. The layout of the room we stayed in is full of Japanese style. The tatami is soft and comfortable. When you open the curtains, the river view outside the window comes into view. Make a cup of hot tea, sit on the chair on the terrace, listen to the gurgling water, and feel comfortable. And the room is very clean and spotless. The hotel dinner is Kaiseki cuisine. I ate different dishes for two consecutive nights. Hot springs are also the highlight. There are lush forests next to the outdoor hot springs. When taking a bath, it seems to be integrated with nature, and the body and mind are greatly relaxed. The most noteworthy thing is their thoughtful service. The bus tickets we booked for our trip were suspended due to heavy snow. The beautiful Chinese-speaking girl immediately contacted the taxi company to book a taxi for us after understanding the situation. While waiting for the taxi, the hotel decided to use their material vehicle to send us to Aso Station, which solved our urgent need. In general, Kurokawa Yumeng Longdan Hotel is very cost-effective, whether it is hot springs, accommodation or dining, it can bring a good experience. If I am lucky enough to come to Kurokawa again, I will definitely stay at their house, highly recommended.

I wanted to hide from the crowds of tourists and feel as close to nature as possible. The place is simply magnificent, the location of the ryokan is generally ideal. There is a magnificent view from the window, the sound of the water is very relaxing! A huge plus was the presence of 3 shared onsen (family bath) which did not need to be reserved! Just come and take the ones that are free (They are open 24/7)! In general, the topic of hot springs in this ryokan is a hotel conversation, the temperature is pleasant. 2 open-air onsen (very beautiful with different themes), 2 closed onsen (open 24/7) and 3 shared (private onsen) Kaiseki (dinner/breakfast) was magnificent, we spent 2 hours for dinner and 1 hour for breakfast. There was a lot of food, varied and interesting. Everything was incredibly delicious! In general, we were fed there with: The staff is very polite, they will help, explain, speak English. We asked to leave our things before leaving because we still had a lot of time before the bus and the staff kindly agreed! Thank them again! In general, it was a wonderful trip and a very beautiful place! In the evening, if you are in season, they light the lights on the river and it becomes completely magical!
