Hot spring Hotels in Kochi Prefecture, Japan

This time I stayed here for sightseeing purposes. There are many restaurants and shopping streets in the area, so I never had trouble finding something to eat. It was especially nice that I could return to the hotel from the restaurant right after dinner! The hot springs made my skin smooth, and the baths were very clean. I'd like to stay here again next time.

The hotel is a famous historical building 🏘️Sansuien Ryokan~ It is the longhouse of the Yamauchi family of the Tosa domain! Now the old building is still intact for tourists to visit! The hotel service is really considerate. The service staff will greet you as soon as you get off the bus. They are also very patient and meticulous when receiving tourists! Informed about the hotel's various service facilities, we stayed in a Japanese-style tatami room, which was hygienic and clean. After dinner, we took a hot spring ♨️ to relieve the fatigue of a day of traveling!

The location is remote and self-driving is necessary. The staff of the store are polite and proactive in helping. The lobby and restaurant environment are excellent. Unfortunately, there is a huge gap between the same rooms, which is a strong contrast. The room is very dilapidated. It is difficult to turn around even if the toilet is small. The hot spring is also average. The food and dinner are rich, delicious and unique. I suggest that the hotel should provide new rooms. I am so disappointed.

Although it is difficult to reach by public transportation, it is very convenient for sightseeing. Breakfast is a bit strong for Kansai people, but it is delicious. It’s hard to understand that coffee after a meal costs 400 yen... This is not the hotel’s fault, but the designer’s responsibility, but there are many ”???” parts in the room. For example, the lack of power (there is only one power supply next to the TV!) is difficult for today's digital and mobile life, even if the table is large, the area is dark and difficult to use for work. The table seems to be a custom order, looks neat and looks good, but it is not easy to use. At the time of construction, the steps of the single bathroom should be said to be barrier-free, but why it was so designed is a mystery. Because it is a pure white material, it is difficult to see the steps, so it is dangerous for healthy people to get rid of the steps. Similarly, the layout of the bathtub with legs looks good, but the floor and foot pads are submerged in the water. I sympathize with those workers who have to clean the space behind the bathtub with or without their arms. Most importantly, I want to express my sympathy to the city hall and the taxpayers responsible for maintaining the outer wall of Kaya in the town. This is a stylish building, but I am worried about the profitability of management costs (laughs)

It is best to call the hotel in advance to make an appointment to pick up the car (free \ English communication is also available). If possible, I will stay for 2 days next time, so that one day I can rent a bicycle to circle the Shimanto River

The open-air bath in Taraso was very good I think there was a umbrella in the garden because it was a rainy day, and there was a worry about it. The room is a bit big, with a total of three rooms, the outermost one has six posts, the middle bedroom has eight posts, and the inside has four posts, which is relatively large in Japanese-style hotels. When the guest is about to go out, the waiter will prepare your shoes early, and when the guest comes back to the room, the waiter will cool the shoes before putting them away. The Japanese cuisine in the morning and evening is also good.

温泉も気持ち良く、ゆっくり過ごせました。 夕食の時のステーキ、脂が多いお肉なので、ミディアム以上の焼き方が良かったかも？お腹いっぱいになりました。 ゆっくり、のんびり過ごすにはお勧めです。
