Hostels in Vientiane Province, Laos

The hotel view is truly beautiful, the mountains are superb! However, when I arrived, they tried to put me in the wrong room twice, not the one I had booked. After a long discussion, I finally got the correct room. Inside the room, there were many mosquitoes, gnats, and ants.

Amazing stay! The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help. The location was convenient, and the overall atmosphere made me feel right at home. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Nice little guesthouse by the river.It is a short walk to move restaurants and the main area of vang vieng. It is clean, quiet and has a pool which is very basic. Better to swim in the river by the tubing bar.

Stayed in a twin room with a travel buddy. The room was very old and the AC was slow to cool. The location was quite convenient. Honestly, it wasn't as convenient as staying in a hostel; this place didn't include breakfast and wasn't great value for money. The one-day tour we booked for the next day offered hotel pick-up and drop-off, which made getting around easy. The baguettes nearby were delicious, and renting a car was also convenient.

The receptionists were friendly and helpful, which made check-in and check-out pleasant. The room was clean overall, but the floor on the hallway was quite dusty, which might just be typical for Vang Vieng. Unfortunately, my bed was used by 2 guests (a couple) who entered the room first, so I ended up having to use their bed. The locker assigned to me was broken, and the key for the locked door didn’t always work, which was a bit inconvenient. There’s potential for a comfortable stay here, but a few improvements in room readiness and maintenance would make a big difference.

It was very good. Because I had an early flight, they took me to Vientiane Airport at 4:30 in the morning (100 dollars). Also, I ate breakfast in the lobby, but it was easy to make friends because I ate with other backpackers. I climbed the mountain to the view point and got my shoes muddy, but I was able to wash them off at the tap outside the hotel (I recommend bringing your own brushes). Even on rainy days, many people enjoy playing billiards in the hostel. You can also refill your water from the water server. And the dog that lives in the hostel is very cute. If I come to Vang Vieng again, I will stay at this hostel.

The hostel is mediocre; it's dirty, cold, and there's no hot water in the shower. Luckily, I had my own bed sheet because the one provided by the hostel was covered in stains. I wonder if they even clean it. Avoid at all costs.

After two boring days in Luang Prabang, I made a special trip back to Vang Vieng. Vang Vieng really has a lot of caves, remember to go explore them! My stay was good as usual, but the only downside was the pool water. Maybe it was due to the rain, but it became very murky. It seemed like there was no filtration system? As a result, I didn't get to swim at all during my two-day stay this time. That's the only minor regret.
