Lovely staff, good rooms and fantastic location. Reasonable food prices and drinks. Great cocktails. Very clean showers and amenities and water refilling station at ground floor. However, a few things to note.
1) can be quite loud in corridors which you hear in the room
2) there’s a constant humming of services so recommend earplugs if you’re a light sleeper
3) the pool is huge but some algae which meant backswimmer bugs which bite…once raised they were on it, but we shouldn’t have to raise it. See photos.
4) our room definitely smelt fousty - guess that’s what happens if you have no window.
Overall, totally worth the price paid but as the pool is a huge selling point, I urge them to clean regularly and use strong chlorine.
I would say Lub d has the best dorms compared to other hostels I’ve stayed in. The branch I tried in Manila only had half-curtains, but here in Siem Reap each bed has a full curtain, which is great for privacy. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful, making the overall experience even better. Definitely one of the top choices for backpackers and solo travelers.
The receptionists were very welcoming and even waved to say goodbye twice, which made me feel really appreciated. The room itself was clean and comfortable, so I was happy with the accommodation.
Unfortunately, I stayed in a dorm room and one of the guests (an indian) was inconsiderate. He made repeated phone calls during the night, including around midnight, and even talked with another guest while others were trying to sleep. This disrupted my rest, though the other guests were fine.
Overall, the hotel and staff were excellent, but dorm experiences can depend a lot on fellow travelers.

The property is located 5.2 miles from Angkor Wat, a 16-minute walk from Royal Residence and one mile from Angkor National Museum. The property has evening entertainment and free WiFi throughout the property.
The rooms are equipped with a private bathroom with a shower, while certain rooms also offer a balcony and others also have pool views.
You can play pool at the hostel, and bike rental is available.
Popular points of interest near Last Summer Hostel Bar include King's Road Angkor, Artisans D'Angkor and Preah Ang Chek Preah Ang Chom.
Cozy small room, clean. Air conditioning works and there is hot water. Far from the center, but it is convenient to move around on a bike. Overall, a very nice place for the money.
Budget hotel, conditions perfectly match the price, and the price for CTrip was lower than when they came in person and asked. To the center on foot 20 minutes. On tukTuk 5. I was satisfied
The hostel environment is excellent, the rooms are clean, the price is cheap, and the guests are very friendly. The front desk staff are also very humble, especially a cute little handsome guy at the front desk, who poured me a drink when I checked in. I even rented a motorcycle and parked it at the door, worried that it would be stolen in the middle of the night. Once I got up early in the middle of the night to watch the sunrise at Angkor Wat, I unlocked the motorcycle and found that the pedal of the motorcycle was locked by the hostel's cement metal chain. I didn't expect the staff to be so considerate of the guests' safety 👍. If there is a next time, I will stay here again. One small shortcoming is that the shower water in the bathroom is not hot enough.
Good location and clean. It is possible to rent a motorbike. There is a good restaurant inside of the hostel which is convenient if you get hungry at any time
Very nice and posh ”hostel” (mad monkey is more a corporation now), perfect for young people looking for meeting others, pub crawling and getting frequently drunk.
Check the info you get from the counter (they'll tell you need a taxi to the airport for 30 USD because tuktuks don't go there. Tuktuks actually go asking 15 and you can probably bargain at around 8)
Вначале были проблемы с громкой музыкой, если это исправить то это неплохой отель. Расположение в центре для меня был минусом
Very Good

JJennyThazinSince this was low season, I got to stay alone in a 4 bed female room. These private rooms are in the opposite side of the actual hostel so you have to cross the road for the pool, bar and reception amenities. The WiFi does not reach to the other building so I ended up having to bring my laptop and work in the main building under the heat. Also, this is a party hostel so just be aware of the constant loud music from the bar.

GGuest UserChoosing any other hotel or hostel I think is a sin. Super friendly staff, clean, fantastic location to visit the temple as well as the main street of the city. Additionally, there are handful of bikes rental I found besides it, and also seven eleven store, which made it very convenient. And if you're looking for halal food, you can find KFC within walking distance, or there is an Indian halal food restaurant just besides the hotel, however, there is a mosque 6 minutes away behind it with penalty of halal restaurant around it as well.
BBelieVeeThis hostel was a great introduction to Cambodia! The staff were super friendly and helpful and there were loads of activities going on every night. There is a huge social space which is great for hanging out with friends or working/ digital nomadding. There were also 2 pools for hanging out at during the day. You could basically stay in the hostel and have everything you need if you wanted but it’s also a short walk away from the market and pub street which are both great places to explore. Only downside was the aircon wasn’t so strong. I think they were fixing it though as a workman came in.

DDima LakhimWe stayed for 3 nights, first booked for a day, and then extended for two more days.
I really liked the attitude of the staff, they are ready to help with any question. We rented a bike and left it at the hotel for the night, in the morning I found the bike in a special room where all the rented equipment of visitors (bicycles and motorbikes) is stored, very nice.
At the reception they printed out my plane tickets for free, thank you!
The air conditioning was always on in the room, it was pleasantly cool (even when we left), there is a breakfast set: water, coffee with cream, sugar and a kettle.
The mattress is good, clean, the pillows are comfortable, we slept well.
The door to the toilet could be better, it's as if it doesn't exist.
The location of the hotel is also very good. Despite the fact that it is located in the very center, the hotel is quiet, you can't hear the noise from all the street cafes, from the pub street and the rest. It's literally a 5-minute walk to them.
Considering the cost per day, this is a great place!
(There is a hotel opposite with a pool where you can swim for $1).
