The bedsheet had some stains on it, but overall, the bed and room were still comfortable. The shared bathrooms and toilets need better maintenance—some of them didn’t have body shampoo refilled.
I also hope the owner can consider installing built-in hairdryers in the bathrooms, so guests don’t have to go to the reception to borrow the only available one (and it really depends on your luck whether it's available when you need it).
The location was great—within walking distance to Batu Bolong Beach and several popular restaurants. Overall, it's still a great option for a short-term, budget-friendly stay.
Comfy beds and nice and quiet. Not social but personally wasn’t looking for that. Water refills are good but unfortunately on the floor I was on there was no toilet so it was a little inconvenient

Everything is good and I like their rules coz it help to ensure who is staying also enjoy the quiet space such as not drinking or eating or picking up the phone inside the room.

Very atmospheric youth hostel
There is no mosquito net in the quadruple room, but there are in other rooms
It's suitable for young people to practice English, because they also sing and drink outside at night

Just great. Very good personnel and prompt service day and night. Maybe labels in food could help to keep fridge clean but in any case very good place.
The only backdraw is the scooter parking. Very hard to find a spot for it. I however did but after finding it I didn’t move with scooter because of that.
Otherwise clear 10/10. I have been to countless hostels, this ranks in top three.

Stayed there the night before going to the airport, very convenient location - abt 10-15 min scooter ride from the hostel to the airport, the hostel is nice and clean, bed is comfortable, you get a towel, there's shampoo and shower gel in the showerroom, also hairdryer, everyone has a spacious locker, there's though a lot of beds in one room and thus sleeping conditions can be tough (counted 12 beds) so defo recommend having earplugs, close to the beach

I really like this place and would come back any time. The pool area and garden are so beautiful and peaceful, like a little paradise, the kitchen is big, common area comfortably, the beds as well, super mattresses, beds with curtains for privacy, own plug and light, locker provided, key card for the door, so it's super safe, staff very nice. Recommended 👍🏼
The hostel is beautiful and clean. Good for those who wants to chill at the pool and spending more time in the hostel. Every night they organize an event (some are paid others aren't), unfortunately I didn't have the chance to attend. It's more a chill hostel than a party hostel, though. The massage they offer is just perfect! It is located in a calm street parallel to the busy area. To get closer to the center it is possible to walk but at night the way to reach the busy area crossing the monkey forest gets very dark.

JJames McGeoughReally amazing staff who tried their best in the face of some adversity. Bali is a special place where all the troubles and tribulations of every day life can instantly dissolve.
Chill House is not perfect and the main problem is … age. It’s been around for ever with no real upgrades. Some guests will love this “old” ambiance but it’s not really for everyone … although rates are lower than other options. Plumbing and hot water were an issue in bathrooms but the staff were very happy and helpful to assist in making room changes.
It’s truly a great experience for some but not so suitable for others. One strong point is the vegetation on the property is great and hides many flaws. The geckos are cute but not for everyone. Some will be agitated by this.
As always, any issues we had were met with gracious smiles and efficient hospitality. The location is a couple of kilometers inland from the beach so it’s relatively quiet yet has some cool restaurants west of the hotel such as TYGR, one of my favorites. With ride hailing services such as Grab and Gojek, getting around is easier than ever.
More regular training should be arranged for staff; they confused the bed cover ends so the bottom (the open part) was where the head should be. Frequently found hair from other guests on newly changed bed sheets.

TTouchingMyHeart1. It’s conveniently located near the Ubud Palace, which is a great advantage.
2. The hostel’s courtyard and architectural style are quite charming, and the staff member who greeted me was smart and really knew how to provide excellent service.
3. The curtains are too short and not wide enough, which often compromises privacy. This is something that could be improved.
4. There’s no space or facilities for doing laundry, not even plastic basins. If these were available, it might attract more guests, and I would likely stay longer as well.

SSylvie DelsauxThe place is very nice, next to rice fields, away from the bustling city and close to many waterfalls. The environment is therefore super quiet.
This homestay has 3 tents and 1 room (the one with walls on the photos, the 2 others are not available).
The room was clean, even though a little effort could be made in the corner and on the windows.
The kitchen is basic and allows you to cook simple meals.
I was disappointed though that the swimming pool is not accessible despite the attractive showcased photos because it is in a private area (where the 2 other rooms are). Only the small piece of grass and the kitchen are accessible.
Next to that, the staff and owner are friendly and very responsive, providing a very good service.

GGuest UserLovely hostel. We stayed for 2 nights in a double room, very nice room with comfortable bed. Nice hot shower which is a bonus.
The standout of the hostel were the hosts. They were extremely helpful, whether you need a boat to another island, taxis, motorbikes, they couldn’t do more to try and help and make your stay as good as possible, would definitely recommend purely based on them alone. If we ever revisit Nusa Penida I would definitely stay here again just so I could meet the hosts again, honestly they were amazing.
