Absolutely great value for money. Had a great stay here. The hostel is clean and very central. Literally 5 steps away from the tube station that gives access to the main London attractions in less than 10min. The check in is at the Pub downstairs, which is also the entrance to the hostel. Staff is great and always willing to help. Toilets were clean and never had a problem there (bring your own towel or pay 5£ for one, and you can keep it after). Food at the pub is good and the breakfast is simple but effective. Booking directly has big advantages (I booked 2 nights through booking and another directly with them - it’s cheaper, includes late checkout, pub discounts and 20% off in the next visit). The pub is open 24/7 for guests only, and there is no loud music or people screaming in late hours - so you don’t get bothered at all if sleeping at the hostel, and you can always go down for a beer if you feel thirsty. Free luggage room to leave your bags before/after checking in/out. Will definitely go back here when visiting London again. Thanks guys !

Dear Management, I voiced my concern to the receptionist about how the power unit at my bed couldn’t function, specifically a male supervisor who didn’t provide his name but referred himself as FB. The first thing he said , I could do nothing about it and asked me to charge my phone in the lobby. He went on for about a minute to lecture me on how they are not responsible for making sure I have power supply , he is not a electrician and how I should ‘solve my own problem’. *End of discussion*. When I followed up on room available , he told that there were parties that haven’t arrived in the same room, but he refused to let me switch , claiming it is unfair to them , but without having thought on my situation or the fact that they might not even show up . I asked him to refund me instead , but he refused , even thought he wouldn’t do anything about my situation . Throughout the conversation , he showed me little respect , quoted ‘ I don’t understand your English ( I am an Asian who has IELTS level 8 btw ) ‘ , ‘ I don’t work with people who are passive aggressive ( how does it have to do with my tone ? As far as I am concerned I didn’t use any instructive tones nor name calling . ) . I read the raving reviews about your hostel , in fact I visited your other branch located in borough, they impressed me with their eager and helpful tone , I had to say it was a dismay to have wrongly chosen to stay at Camden . And I recommend people who read this review think carefully .

We first checked in with Mohammed who greeted us with a smile and made sure to make us feel welcome with lots of sweets and lollipops! He made sure to let us know that we were welcome to come for some tea and biscuits whenever we wanted! Top bloke. The room was pretty nice with a surprising amount of amenities that we weren’t expecting (fridge, tv and a nice modern shower). On the way out we bumped into Toqil too and he was a very friendly guy also. He offered to take our keys so we didn’t have to walk back to reception to drop them off which was nice. The room was nicer than we were expecting for the cheap price and both the members of staff we met were a testament to their profession!! We would love to come again. :)

St Christopher's Inn Greenwich is the first hostel I lodged when I first got to the United Kingdom in February 2023 and this prompted me to book the place again this year. The cleaners and some members of staff were very nice and respectful but a short lady was very rude to me. She is light in colour and I have her picture. I approached her to make some enquiries but she insulted and made derogatory statements to me. She even shouted at me and was very rude. I was embarrassed by her actions and just left the lady. She pierced her ears and was on duty around 1.30pm on Monday 26th February. Her actions depicts someone who is frustrated and I don't expect the lady to be pouring her anger on customers. What I avoided was confrontation with her because I am a gentle person who doesn't like unnecessary arguments with people. But I feel lodgers deserve some form of respect which for me is reciprocal.

OK, I have to be careful not to totally slate this place, because it's basically a fair enough hostel for the price. However... The entire cardkey entry system was down for 4 days - meaning everyone left the dorms open 24/7, rather than go downstairs and get the poor bugger on reception to come up & open the door every time someone needed to take a piss. That's not great for security. I switched dorms mid-stay. No problem with the dorms, it was just they didn't have a bed available in the same dorm for a whole week. The lockers in both dorms were too small to put much in and the locks on both my designated lockers were broken, as were about half the others. This didn't stop someone using mine for a couple of days and putting a padlock on it, even though twisting the lock open - padlock or not - would have been easy. I was only putting my shoes & coat in there anyway. I stuck them on the end of my bed! On the plus side, there are some excellent lockers in the basement Chill Out Room, available for £2.50 per day on a coin-operated machine. You can get two proper backpacks in them. That's good value, though having to trek to the basement is a ball-ache. The dorms were very cramped. I don't expect an army barracks style of comfort: my bar at hostels is the standard set for Aussie and Pommie prisons these days! Spacewise, the dorms were well short of my bar! There are lots of old court and police station buildings where people aren't allowed to be held overnight nowadays because the cells are so small they violate Yooman Rights! The two dorms I was in fell short of that! Less than a metre between the two rows of bunks in the bigger dorm and about 2 feet between the bunk and a projecting bit of wall in the smaller one. The bigger dorm had a sink just inside the door, opposite the (broken) lockers, but the space inside the door - between the sink & (broken) lockers and before the bunks - wasn't much more than a square metre... and you're obviously in the way of anyone going in or out as you stand in front of the (broken) lockers. The smaller (6-bed) dorm had a sink by the window, which was more practical. Also... The website pic showed 2-bed bunks as the set-up when I booked online. The actual set-up in both dorms was 3-bed bunks. That's a bit cheeky. I was in the middle bunk in both dorms. I didn't have a tape measure handy, but the space between the middle and top bunk was significantly short of 2 shoe lengths - and I'm not Shaquille O'Neal in foot size. Well short of 60cm. If you fancy a career in the submarine corps, or if you're a method actor about to play a Silesian coal miner in a film set in the 1800s, this is fine. As it is if you're 1.40m tall. For anyone else, it's a mite cramped. There was no pillow on my bed on the first night, though one appeared on the second day. Beds were pretty comfortable, though the mattresses had squeaky plastic exteriors - can't whinge there: Poms aren't good with holding alcohol and I can imagine acci

The beds were nice, the rooms were pretty clean and the hostel was close to Greenwich so I'll give it that. However, first of all, check-in isn't until 4pm which is later than any hostel I've ever stayed at, and there's not even really any place inside to wait until then so you can't go inside until after that time (unless you want to pay extra to go earlier). Second, you have to pay 10 extra pounds, in cash, for a key and at least one of the staff members was pretty rude. I accidentally forgot my key to my room one day and then randomly a staff member shows up and yelled at me for waiting in the hallway for someone to come because no one at reception answered the door when I knocked to ask about a spare key. Third of all, the area is kind of sketchy. Even though you can find homeless people scattered around the London metro area I was probably approached the most by homeless people either just outside of this hostel or on one of the nearby streets. You also can't get refunded once you book and, for some reason, hostelworld said my recent trip there was cancelled (which is why I couldn't put this review on hostelworld). Therefore, unless you're with a group of people and don't mind the most awful place to stay and/or you'd like to be within a 30-minute walk to Greenwich, I would highly highly highly NOT recommend this place (especially as a solo traveller)!

Such a Great Location & the Staff is Amazing! It’s located right next to Kings Cross & Coal Drop Yards which is convenient. Check in is simple & they even let you leave your luggage for free if you get their early & after your check out. The staff is so kind, to the front desk, Maintenance, Cleaning Crew & Management. I love how the beds you can change the color of the Lighting. There are plugs for your phone & a locker to store your stuff. Also a bar to hang socks or a Towel. They have a huge lounge area where you can chill or work & a kitchen. Pretty big kitchen, great way to save $ while traveling! Bathrooms are always clean & always hot water. They have events throughout the week which is great for connecting with new people. You can tell the staff is like family here & genuine souls! Definitely suggest checking out this Hostel when traveling to London! My next trip into London, I’ll definitely be staying here. 💚

The entire hostel was kept clean and I had a comfortable stay. There is a train station in front of the hostel, making it easy to get to central London. The hostel also has a fully equipped kitchen, bar, entertainment room, and above all, the smiles of the hostel staff. The quality of the customer base was impressive.

I chose this hotel for my family vacation based on the Comfort Inn name. We have always enjoyed the quality of Comfort Inn hotels in our previous travels. This particular hotel does NOT live up to the Comfort Inn name. It didn't feel structurally sound nor safe. The floor felt like it was crumbling under our feet in certain areas of the room. It sounded like people walking above us were going to come through the ceiling. The carpet was filthy. We could not see out or open the window -- it appeared to be nailed shut and there was something hanging over it on the outside. Breakfast options were extremely limited. So disappointed! BTW, we stayed in room 101.
