I really liked this hostel; it has a great atmosphere and attracts many international guests. Just before checking out, I met a Spanish couple in the ground floor lobby who were also heading to the airport, and we ended up chatting for the entire afternoon. The dorm rooms were also very clean. I wish I had noticed earlier that there were plenty of unused trekking poles in a corner on the ground floor; then I wouldn't have had to spend five yuan on a bamboo stick! Haha.

A solid stay in the city center of Changsha. It's just clean and comfortable hostel. Beds are a little bit hard (fine for me). Shower rooms are clean. City center. Wuyiguangchang even just 5 minuites away. The hostel itself may not have a perfect view from the window. But on the stairs you could see ifs, and, again, 5 minuites and you are there are. Food around are a little bit expensive, but there are also cheap shops and caffes, you just need to explore area a little bit. Night walk is perfect. Transport too.

The check-in experience was very good, it was clean and sanitary, and the guy at the front desk was very patient with his guidance. I suggest you call if you can't find it.

I had originally planned to stay in Fenghuang for only a short time, but by chance I ended up staying at the Xiangzishen Youth Hostel, which lasted for over ten days. The hostess was like family, preparing breakfast each morning and even offering complimentary herbal tea with ingredients tailored to your needs. Fenghuang was still quite hot in late August, so I spent the day wandering the alleys, drinking tea like water. When I returned home exhausted from exploring in the evenings, she was still there, chatting about the scenery of Xiangxi and Fenghuang's past, and the hours flew by. While the hostel's hardware was a bit dated, the facilities were excellent, and the location was perfect, making it convenient to everything. Xiangxi is a wonderful place, and Fenghuang is even more beautiful than I had imagined. I'm grateful to her for allowing me to quietly appreciate all this beauty.

If you have never stayed in a youth hostel, you can really try staying in this one. Maybe the first time will be a ceiling-level stay experience. Staying in this hotel is like opening a gentle collection of poems, with delicate beauty everywhere; I arrived at the store at around 3 pm, and the front desk guy checked in very skillfully, and did not forget to share with us all kinds of delicious and fun places in Changsha. The boss must be a person who loves life very much. He turned the youth hostel into a home on the journey, so that every passerby can continue to the next stop with the gentle memory of this city and this journey. In the room, the simple log style is matched with fresh green plants, and the sun shines through the blinds, smudges soft light and shadow. The bunk bed hides a proper sense of privacy, building a small world for travelers, a high-quality experience of less than 100 yuan. The bathroom is clean and bright, with care hidden in the details, and the clean and tidy environment gives people a good first impression; the street view is hazy by the window, and time has slowed down. The public area is more like a warm little settlement. The coffee machine in the coffee corner is waiting quietly, as if it can brew a fragrant story at any time. The art paintings on the wall on the first floor and the guitar in the corner let the literary factor flow in the space. Here, you can not only find a place to rest, but also step into a romance about ”encounter”. Next time I come, I will definitely choose this place again to continue the poetry hidden in the youth hostel.

Excellent hostel! Convenient location, close to the central bus station and bus stops, cable car within walking distance, grocery stores nearby. The hostel is very clean and cozy, has everything you need, beds with curtains, universal sockets in sufficient quantity. Downstairs at the reception there is a kettle and a cooler with water. Very nice responsive administrator! Helped with any questions, wrote how to get to the forest park, and described the routes through the park

[Parks info below] I'm glad that I checked out this hostel, good value for money. Room was nice and tidy, lots of electricity sources in bed and common area, curtains, hot shower. I shared the 6 beds dorm with just another girl, and you make your own bed. No toilet paper, no free water refill, no light in bed. It's worth the price. If you extend your stay directly in the hostel it's cheaper than the app. The reception area is more cramped but you can socialize there. Most of the people are Chinese but I also met some foreigners. The guy in the reception speaks English and can give you information, in addition to that I recommend you to do your own research. There are two baby cats playing around, and an adult one. You can get to the hostel from the west railway station by bus line 17 for 2 yuan - last bus at 8:40pm + 15 minutes walk. Location is close to the main avenue where there's a lot of restaurants, and a 24-hour convenience store close to the corner with this same avenue. There are two night markets in the city, one on the avenue like 10 min distance walking to downtown direction, more local, and another one on the street in front of the tianmen mountain cable car, more touristy. The hostel is 15 minutes walking to the central bus station where you can get the bus to zhangjiajie park and 15-20 to the tianmen mountain cable car station. [ATTRACTIONS] Zhangjiajie (avatar), tianmen (heaven's gate) and canyon (glass bridge) are 3 different parks in different locations. The entrance to zhangjiajie gives you access for 4 days. I went the 4 days and enjoyed it very properly. If you're short on time, 2 days will do, but plan it wisely based on your priorities. Gates are 1 hour trip distance from the central bus station - 1h30 at weekends. Also, note that before entering the park with passport and face scan, you need to do an APPOINTMENT for that hour. You usually do it there at the gate, but for a saturday all appointments for that hour were sold out in advance and I had to wait for 45 minutes to go in. Recommended to check in advance especially on weekends. There are 2 types of tickets you can get: including all cable cars and elevator for unlimited time for 450 yuan; or just the entrance (including only free shuttles) for 215 yuan - you still have the option of buying each transport at the park (75 yuan cablecar one-way, 65 elevator one-way). At first, I had understood that to see the avatar mountains, the ONLY way was through the elevator, so I bought the all-inclusive. Turns out you CAN go by free shuttle + hike + free shuttle if you start in the east gate. My favorite part was the huangshi village. For tianmen, the entrance is 260 yuan. Choose the route in advance because some sell out fast. Gold advice: go at least one hour or more BEFORE the hour that you have the tickets for. The hour of your ticket just matters before the very last point before boarding the cable car. The line was MASSIVE and it took me 2h30 waiting on a Monday - ended up getting in 2 hours late than my ticket time and couldn't finish the whole loop: took only the red trail and went down to the heaven's gate. About the Canyon, I can't say much because I decided to skip it and save the 210 yuan ticket - note that this price DOESN'T include the activities, you must pay separately. The package that includes almost* everything is 360 yuan. Last but not least, if you go to the 72 Wonders, there's also an entrance of 88 yuan. You can go/come back with the bus 17 - same line that serves to the west railway station, last bus 8:40pm.

I booked the mini room for one person. The room is really nice and big, the only problem I had was the fact that the bathroom's floor got flooded every time I had to use the shower, which made the bathroom unusable after showering, which was quite annoying. The hotel is super close to the forest entrance, (10 minute walk), bus station (5 minute walk), and numerous restaurants/grocery stores. The owner was also very nice and booked the ticket for the glass bridge and grand canyon for me. I recommend booking this ticket in advance otherwise you may not be able to go there since only some tickets get sold daily.

Although it is not an elevator room, the room is clean and tidy. There are water heaters, air conditioning, wifi, slippers, shampoo, shower gel, charging sockets, large windows and bed curtains. The room and bed are quite big. It is quite comfortable to stay. It is so hot outside that I really don’t want to go out to play. Went to play 😁
