Facilities: Although relatively simple, you can feel that the store is full of care and has everything you need.
Hygiene: Very clean, I feel like home in this environment
Environment: Surrounded by Little India, you can walk more than 100 meters to the beach to see the sea. There is a ferry on the other side of the sea.
Service: The service is very good. The boss personally helps you with your luggage, and also asks if you want an omelette. He also gives you an Indian pancake to try, which is very considerate.

The rooms were incredibly clean, the environment was great, and there were plenty of amenities. We were a group of four, and the room was huge, with lots of comfy bean bags and lounge chairs. The bathroom was also spotless and came with toothbrushes and toothpaste. The service attitude was excellent. The room cleaning service was also top-notch; the towels were new, the bed linen smelled fresh, and the hygiene was impeccable. The landlady and the caretaker were both incredibly kind and friendly, making us feel right at home. If we ever come back to Penang, we'll definitely stay here again. Every time we left or came back, we'd have a little chat with the caretaker – they're truly wonderful and lovely people.

Anonymous UserHad a pleasant stay at Hotel 22! The location was very convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions, food, and public transport. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The self check-in and check-out machine was also very convenient and made the process fast and hassle-free. Overall, a good experience and great value for money. Would definitely consider staying again in the future!

Good hotel in a perfect location right next to the center. The rooms are very clean. I especially appreciated the air purifier in the room—a rare but very welcome amenity! The WiFi was stable and the bed was comfortable. Perfect for both short visits and longer stays.

This is a new and clean inn and the owners and staffs are the kindest and most attentive. They really made me feel assured and safe throughout my stay. The room with private bathroom is spacious and bright and has good value in expensive Georgetown. I was able to rest well for one night here. Location is top and is walkable to almost anywhere conveniently. The room with private bathroom has a study table and a comfortable chair to rest on. No TV in the room, but I have always appreciated silence.

YogiboyI booked the 4-bed dorm thinking that only 4 guests would use the shower & toilet. But apparently, the 2 shower-toilet combined were used by all the other rooms & dorms. It was getting awkward with many females frequently entering the washroom area. A room no.205 has access directly through the washroom.. Weird! (picture attached). I could hear some odd conversations between 2 boys & a girl from that room while brushing teeth in the morning. The dorm which was sufficient only for one single bed is filled with 2 bunk beds, so there is no space at all in the dorm room. You have to directly jump onto the bed. My dorm room was on second floor with no elevator. The only 3 good points about this hostel are that they provide a towel for hostel beds, is located on a main street in Georgetown, and has complementary breakfast for everyone (bread-butter-jam, tea-coffee, and watermelon). Wifi & AC were good.

Sarocha RattanaPros:
- The bed was soft and comfortable, I slept really well.
- The air conditioning was super cool.
- The water heater worked well and the water pressure was strong.
- Toothbrushes, shampoo, shower gel, and towels were provided.
Cons:
- This is a small dormitory-style accommodation. The first floor requires climbing rather steep and high stairs, which is not suitable for the elderly or those with heavy wheeled luggage.
- The room had no windows and was very small and compact. The room itself was quite old.
- The pillow was too soft and flimsy, making it uncomfortable to sleep on.
- The air conditioner was incredibly loud, the loudest ever!
- The room was not soundproof at all. I could clearly hear conversations and snoring from the next room. This is not suitable for light sleepers, as the noise disturbance could cause frequent awakenings and insufficient rest.
Personally, I slept comfortably, but I was a bit annoyed by the snoring.
There's a deposit of RM50, or you can pay in your own currency, which is returned upon check-out (no receipt provided for the deposit).
There's also a Heritage Fee of RM4.
The service was excellent! The staff member named Subait was lovely and provided great service.
The location is quite quiet and not bustling, a little far from Chulia Street and Lb Lane, but close to the jetty.

Guest UserThe room is clean and tidy, the bed is comfortable to sleep on, the bed is 1.2 meters wide, the beds are clean, the female dormitory has a bathroom, which is convenient. I was in the off-season, there were 8 beds, 3 people stayed on the first day, and I stayed alone for the next two days. I like clean and quiet here. I live in the middle room upstairs. There is no noise, no mosquitoes. There is a water dispenser in the small kitchen behind the first floor. You can drink water, which is very convenient. The air conditioner is OK, all are new from Midea. You need hot water to take a shower, and you need to turn on the power. Pay attention to the air conditioner, which is also controlled by a power switch. There is no front desk, so contact the store email in advance.
