Hostels in Guangxi, China

For me this hostel was the dream. 20 min walk from the town but yet looking out on to the beautiful mountains and a small farm. The hostel was clean and had everything to i needed with also lots of books and games for rainy days. The hostel had cheap bike and scooter hire as well as helping with shuttles to the railways stations and help booking bigger activities. Every staff member I spoke to had good English which made everything very easy! I wish I could have stayed longer!

My first time staying in a hostel, and it was a fantastic experience! On the first night, the room was packed and lively, with everyone chatting about travel tips and sharing recommendations for delicious food. Although it got a little noisy early the next morning when two guests were packing for their early bus, the overall experience was still very positive. The rooms and beds were spotlessly clean, with daily housekeeping staff coming in. There's a large balcony, a laundry room, and even a dryer on the fourth floor. I even had a delightful encounter with a cool, slightly aloof cat! The hostel is super close to the Xingping 20 Yuan banknote scenic spot, Xingping Ancient Town, and Xingping Bus Station. As a first-time hostel guest, I was not disappointed at all. The front desk staff, especially the young lady, was incredibly nice and helpful, always ready to answer any questions. On the day I left, I even forgot to return my key, but thankfully she called me back, haha! Definitely recommend!

Cyan Box was a great place to stay in Guilin! I stayed in a private room on the top floor. It was comfy, clean, quiet and well equipped. There was toilet paper and shower gel in the bathroom. There was a kettle too! The hostel staff were super friendly and keen to support with booking excursions/activites, and they do communal activities like going out for dinner most nights which is great if you want to make friends. They sell drinks down in the foyer too. There's lots of shops / restaurants around. It was a 15-20 minute cycle ride to all of the main attractions, and the hostel is right next door to a big beautiful park! Only downside: no facilities to fill up a water bottle, so I had to buy water. Otherwise 10/10 :-)

Staying in a very comfortable youth travel, the boss lady is very enthusiastic, the health is also very clean, lived for several days, so comfortable, do not want to go 😭 every day to bask in the sun, walk around, chat and eat delicious food, don't be too comfortable ～

Our doible bed room was clean, the window was smaler then on the pictures, but we had the view on the river. The staff and owner were very helpful and accomodating. Location was good enough to be close to the town center and the train station

Had a great experience. Everyone was polite and respectful of each other's space. The price was fantastic, offering excellent value for money. The location is superb, being close to Guilin North Station, which made catching public transport or the airport shuttle very convenient. The owner was incredibly kind, and the two cats were absolutely adorable. A truly wonderful stay.

The location is in West Street. The six-person room for girls is on the fourth floor, but the top floor is not hot at all. The air conditioner is very powerful and can be turned on at any time without a time limit. The bedding is clean and there is no peculiar smell. The bathroom and every corner of the room are clean , the boss will also recommend some niche attractions that are worth visiting. It seems that the girl in the room said that you can use the washing machine to do laundry for free. After staying in so many youth hostels and homestays, this is the second time I have encountered free laundry. The boss and the proprietress are working hard on the homestay.

On the first day, the landlady helped introduce the nearby delicious and fun places. fine. Youth hostels are a little hard to find, but they are very safe. It is very close to Axiu Rice Noodles, supermarkets, and Guilin North Railway Station, and is very convenient for taking the high-speed rail. The hygiene could be better, the hooks in the toilet are rusty and the counter is also covered with dust. There was no toilet paper in the toilet either. The room was a bit stuffy, the air conditioner was not allowed to be turned on, and there was no fan. Another young lady couldn't stand it and changed hostels the next day.

The environment is very good, in the community, very safe. Drinks and mineral water are disposable, all cheap, and you don’t have to worry about going far to buy without toiletries. Health is also very good, the boss will come to clean every day, and the three-piece suit will change and wash. The traffic is very convenient, just next to the subway station, you can follow the navigation. The boss is also super good, accidentally broke the shower, asked how much the shower was changed, and the boss did not charge money. In summary, you can live with peace of mind 🥰🥰🥰

101% recommended! The place is always clean and tidy. The hostel is just next to Guanxi University and the famous night market, so there are always good food and bargain deals day and night. I stayed for 3 separate periods within 2 weeks. The lady boss is really kind for allowing me to keep my large luggage at her place, while I travel around Guangxi.
