Service: There is a butler in the building, and you can call or email him.
Sanitation: Very clean, cleaned every day.

Pingo Doce
I strongly recommend staying in this hotel when you come to Porto! The house price is cheap and the CP value is very high. The space is super large, and all the necessary equipment is available. They also provide ground coffee beans + filter paper + coffee machine. I can finally drink delicious American coffee. Europeans all drink espresso, which I really can't get used to. The room was also cleaned very well
There is a supermarket within a three-minute walk where you can buy food and daily necessities, and there is also a self-service laundromat where you can wash and dry clothes. The lack of a washing machine is a minor drawback, but there is a place to do laundry nearby. Although laundry is not cheap, the room rate is very reasonable. Even if you add the cost of laundry, it is still worth it.
Finally, I would like to mention a small shortcoming for the hotel to improve: there is no shelf in the shower room. The hotel provides soap and small bottles of shampoo, but there is no shelf in the shower room, so there is no place to put the soap or shampoo. You can only squat on the floor to get it, which is a bit inconvenient.
As soon as my son and I arrived at Porto, we entered the accommodation and felt so good.
It was a very clean and pretty accommodation.
The location was so good that I walked to São Bento Train Station and the Dom Luis Bridge for sightseeing.
It was a very satisfactory stay as there were many restaurants and shopping centers near the accommodation.
Highly recommended!

The location is good, there is a parking space and an elevator that can be reached without going up the stairs first. It is clean and tidy. There are washing machines and dishwashers. It is a 5-minute walk to the most popular pedestrian street and Farmer's Market, which is very convenient. Maria at the front desk was very welcoming. We lost our door key and she promptly replaced it without any extra charge. Thank you.
Great hotel in the very center! You can get anywhere in 10-20 minutes on foot. If necessary, the metro is 5 minutes away. The airport is also conveniently accessible from the hotel. The room is new, beautiful, modern, fresh, spacious, with a view of a cozy, lively pedestrian street with cafes and shops. There is everything: air conditioning, TV, Wi-Fi, kettle, microwave, coffee machine, hair dryer. The bed is comfortable, the blanket is warm. Everything was wonderful!
If there were slippers and robes in the room, it would be perfect. It is still a little cool in the room.

Amazing
GGuest UserLast year I had the most wonderful stay at Menina Colina, and was excited to return. Unfortunately I now wish I had reserved elsewhere, as it has been nothing but a disappointment.
Prices are so much higher than a year ago, but I thought I got what was a good deal on the garden room. Turns out it is greatly overpriced for what is offered, as it has none of the exquisite design or attention to detail that the interior rooms have. It also seems to be neglected in terms of maintenance. The coffee machine was leaking, and after reporting it, it was made out to be my fault as I was using it incorrectly. I had to physically show a member of staff the leaked water for them to agree to replace it. I was really annoyed that they felt that they needed to demonstrate to me how it works rather than just replacing it immediately.
The next disappointment was that the room was initially not serviced at all, and no explanation was given. When you are paying $165 for a mediocre room (not even including breakfast), one would at the very least expect the bins to be emptied.
The bathroom also had a terrible smell that permeated the room, and mosquitoes were a problem too.
Management did offer me lunch or attendance of their fado show, but none of these arrangements fitted into my busy programme. I thought a small financial compensation would have made more sense. That did not happen, and nothing further was mentioned or discussed on check-out.
The final issue was the online check-out which they require. When I tried to complete it, my bill was for my entire stay, although 3 of the 4 nights had already been paid months in advance. So my conclusion is unfortunately that Menina Colina’s standards have dropped significantly, and that it is overpriced for the lack of attention to detail that is evident in several areas.

GGuest UserPros - Location - easy access to Porto downtown area (3 metro stations to Sao Bento)
- I choose travelling by metro as walking uphill and downhill in Porto is really tiring!
- Room size as well as toilet - spacious enough even for two people, facilities - I like the kettle for boiling hot water.
- Water from the shower very powerful and comfortable.
- 2 bakery cafes nearby for taking breakfast (with reasonable price), one Chinese restaurant nearby provides hot food.
Cons - Did not expect there was nobody at hotel front desk upon my arrival. With the help of a kind lady, I could communicate with the hotel staff
via whatsapps and was able to check in without problem. ( I would like to say thanks to that kind lady)
- No elevator, staying at lower floors is preferrable.
- the room floorings had a cracking sound while walking, may be the building was a little bit old.
77539****Must like it. This family hotel is very good, although the appearance is a bit old, but the interior is fully decorated and there is a small kitchen. The boss carefully prepared milk, juice, bread, fruit, etc., as well as coffee and wine! The yard is a beautiful garden with a variety of plants and flowers, as well as goldfish and places to wash and dry clothes. The boss warmly introduced the important local attractions and transportation points. In fact, the hotel is very close to the tourist center area, the subway is only one stop, and it is less than 2 kilometers away. Porto is not big, but there are rivers, seas, bridges, ancient castles, churches, stations, libraries, etc., not to mention all kinds of food, seafood, etc., prices are cheaper than Lisbon, it is worth a visit.
GGuest UserAmazing location, in the middle of everything you need to see & all the restaurants, patios, live music, etc.
The hotel & the room is tiny but that’s expected with a historical place like this.
We stayed in room#2 & it had a window facing the historical wall of this building, so don’t count on much of a view or natural light!
A little bit of uphill but again that’s Porto, you can hardly get around without uphills & downhills!
The owner Maria & the manager Martha are attentive & caring & ensure you have a great experience with your stay.
When we arrived a welcome Portuguese tart was offered which was delicious & also Martha said you can pour yourself Port wine (also super tasty) any time,
11101083851This hotel is generally good. It is an old house that has been renovated. The cleanliness and comfort level are quite high. The facilities are average. Due to the street frontage and old-fashioned doors and windows and the large number of local motorcycles and gasoline vehicles, the noise is very loud, coupled with the chirping of seagulls. For those who are light sleepers, this may not be the place to stay.
GGuest UserIdeal location, you can get to the metro minutes 10-15 on beautiful streets. Nearby a ton of cafes and restaurants of different price categories.
The room itself is not big. There is no refrigerator. But it is very comfortable. There were no cockroaches, no ants, no dirty clothes as it was written in other reviews.
There are a few night bars downstairs. It's very noisy, the guilt of the votes. But it doesn't stress me, I can sleep at least on a disco. But 99% of people won't like it. There are berushes in the room, but they're unlikely to help.
The biggest minus of a hotel that overlaps a lot of its pluses is that the staff member can enter your room without your consent and permission in your absence. Like they did to me. What they did there was not clear, but there was a dirty black straw (photo applied).

TTrip LOVERssThis hotel is located very closed to highway so it was a bit noisy when I was sleeping. The size of the room is too small and the light in the shower is damaged and off so I have to take shower at dark. The bed is too low and not comfortable and I don’t feel the floor is clean enough to walk with my bare foot.
The hotel is also difficult to find and I have to walk more than 15minutes to get to the hotel. It wasn’t a pleasant stay with this hotel and next time I will not book an airport hotel.
AAnonymous UserIt's a very nice hotel. It provides breakfast with a variety of varieties. The grandma in the restaurant is very kind. She especially likes the croissants from Monday to Wednesday. It is the best I have ever eaten. Please note that it is not the small croissant coated with sugar on the outside.
In addition, if friends who like pizza go to the local area, they must try the pizza there. At that time, I just wanted to finish it quickly and continue to open the map, so I randomly found a restaurant and ordered the Oporto Bella Margheritta, which is about 10 euros and 12 inches. The first bite left an impression on me. The experience of eating pizza for the first time. After eating it, you will unconsciously start to question what the long pizza-like things you have eaten before are. Increase the amount
