The lady...is a Lady and she was kind attentive generous and I felt completely welcomed...it was as if I was staying at a living relative. Although the room was small the bathroom was ample. The room gad a query nook area by one of the two window areas...the view of the water was calming and simple, I could hear the birds in the shady trees outside my tall romantic window setting. The whole place was spotless and fresh smelling ...the bed comfortable. All looked new. It was near to everything. If I have to want anything it is a disposable shower cap. She allowed me to take her tea-Kettle to my room for my convenience which added to my comfort. Although we did not speak the same language we understood each other. I would love to return again soon. A Wonderful Stay in Coimbra! I stayed at The Luggage for just one night, but it left such a wonderful impression that I would absolutely choose to stay here again without a second thought. The hotel itself is located in a beautiful, historic building that perfectly blends traditional charm with excellent interior design. The high ceilings and massive windows give the rooms an incredibly spacious and airy feel, making the stay feel extra special. Beyond the gorgeous architecture, the service was top-notch. The receptionist spoke excellent English, was extremely welcoming, and made the check-in process smooth and pleasant. Overall, this hotel truly elevated my experience and left me with the best memories of Coimbra. Highly recommended!

Lovely place to stay in Coimbra.some rooms are not that comfortae but some are spectacular. We stayed one night in a small one and was not that comfortable as the room is indeed very small. However, next night we were in a bigger room and it was spectacular. The breakfast is served in the room but thats a turn off as its mostly carb (sugar). But overall a good experience.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Coimbra Monumentais.  The location is absolutely perfect being so close to the steps up to the University.  The facilities were fine.  My only suggestion for improvement is to automatically send the check in information rather than asking us to ask for it.  I missed that point in the reservation.  Most of our stays were with Air BnB and they automatically send the information a day or two in advance.  We came to the back door (the 7A address) and had an issue with getting in.  Once in, we were very well looked after.  Thanks so much to Mariannna!

We stayed in the room on the second floor. I had to climb a little steep stairs with a heavy suitcase, but the staff was very helpful to carry it. If you have heavy luggage, I think you can support it if you tell it in advance. The staff were very kind. The building and the room were clean, and there was a kitchen and it was good to be able to cook simple food. The only thing I was worried about was that the voice was easy to pass through, probably because of the structure of the building, and the conversation of the receptionist and other guests was easy to reach the room. However, there was no big noise when we stayed and we were able to spend comfortably. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay.

Good place. nice, handsome people. I needed to postpone the check out 1h and it was possible. The room smells huid. The walls with humidity. It was difficult to breathe in the room. The morning when I was waking, the walls and windows filled with water/humidity. I work in Health. I know this is a very serious condition for the respiratory health of those who stay there. One night I had to sleep with the openest window to smell the humidity. I think they were in the room, and I think they were in the room, and I was not informed that they would come in without my knowledge.

The hotel is located between the old and new railway stations, and there is a free shuttle bus between the two stations. After getting off the bus, the hotel is across the road. The long-distance bus stop is only a five-minute walk away. It is only ten minutes walk from the hotel to the city center, the location is very convenient! The only downside of the hotel is that there is no elevator, the room I stayed in was on the second floor, but fortunately the staff was very friendly to help with the luggage on the room when I checked in. The room is clean and has a hand dish, so even sharing the bathroom is very convenient, sharing two bathrooms on each floor, sharing a kitchen and dining room on the first floor, there is a refrigerator and cooking utensils in the kitchen.

A very well-located hotel with very friendly and competent staff, good customer service, helpfulness, and information. The facilities were very clean and well-marked, and the room was comfortable enough, but it lacked a small table, as there was nowhere to put the computer for normal use. The mattress and room temperature were good. The bathroom was not as spacious as it was. You had to walk in, and, for example, using the sink to simply wash your hands would spill all over the floor, as it was a ”minimalist” 30 x 20 cm. The toilet bowl was barely roomy, and the shower screen was just enough to move around. As I said, the bathroom was barely 3 square meters. The continental breakfast was very poor, not worth the extra cost.

The hotel is a remodeled building from a very old building. You can park on the road in front of the hotel, and it is easy to find because it is near the church. There is no elevator, so you have to be careful when carrying heavy luggage. The room size is just right for sleeping, and it is set up sensibly. The bathroom inside is small, and you have to be careful when using the shower. At first, I was surprised that water came out from above, and the water pressure needs to be high to convert it into a shower hose. The staff were all friendly, and the breakfast was good.
