It was a very mixed experience. The little container was sweet and very comfortable with the curtains closed. Bed and pillows were good quality.
Staff were lovely and very attentive.
The pool was busy with Muslims so I didn’t feel comfortable getting in it with my semi naked body. The container was right next to the pool so it felt very exposed especially when the pool was busy and who wants to close their curtains in the middle of the day?
I asked if I could swim once the pool was empty, however this was after 8pm and the pool was closed. This policy needs to be reviewed for residents of the pool side rooms.
It felt a bit like a halal leasure centre so that wasn’t relaxing when I was looking forward to hanging out at the pool.
The sounding area is beautiful and Taiping is beautiful.
Saying this it wouldn’t stop me from staying again. There were more positives than negatives.
Management was friendly and easy communications via Whatsapp.

Thanks for the flexibility.
The most interesting view near by (besides) Lost World of Tambun, Ipoh, Perak; the scenery looks very interesting and the view is great. All the facilities of this unit Onsen S-08-13 here and the comfort is good. The service from the management is also good and very helpful. Highly recommended to those out there who want the satisfaction of the Lost World of Tambun view, the location is also close to a few good places to go out to eat for domestic and foreign tourists. One of good place to stay in today.
Fantastic stay! The pool with a hill view was amazing, and we truly enjoyed the wonderful hot springs. The room was well-equipped with everything we needed and very well maintained. It’s just a 1-minute walk to LWOT, which made everything super convenient. We’ll definitely come back again next time!
Recently stayed at The Cove Hillside in Ipoh, Perak, and it was an exceptional experience. If you're looking for a peaceful, luxurious stay with a stunning natural backdrop, this is the place to be. The apartment complex is situated on a beautiful hillside, offering panoramic views of Ipoh’s lush greenery and limestone hills.
Apartment Features:
The apartment I stayed in was spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed. It had an open-concept layout that combined a comfortable living area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a cozy dining nook. The kitchen had all the essentials—fridge, stove, microwave, and even a washing machine, making it perfect for longer stays. The living room had a large flat-screen TV and comfy seating, creating a great space for relaxation. The bedroom was cozy with a large, comfortable bed, and the bathroom had a clean, modern feel with a spacious shower and high-quality amenities. The air conditioning was a lifesaver, especially with Ipoh’s warm weather.
Service:
While staying at The Cove Hillside, I felt like I had the best of both worlds—privacy and comfort, but with access to excellent service. The staff was incredibly friendly, offering quick check-in/check-out and always willing to help with any requests. Housekeeping was efficient, keeping the apartment spotless during my stay. They also provided helpful information on local attractions, making it easy to explore the area.
Amenities:
One of the standout features of The Cove Hillside is the range of amenities. The infinity pool is absolutely breathtaking, offering sweeping views of the surrounding hills. It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of sightseeing. The fitness center is well-equipped with modern machines and free weights, great for staying in shape. There’s also a barbecue area that can be reserved for gatherings, which adds a nice touch for family or group stays. Plus, the complex is gated with 24-hour security, so I felt very safe and secure throughout my stay.
Almost couldn’t access the unit I booked as no check in instructions were given. Thankfully it was easy to contact the owner/management, and issue was resolved promptly.
Pros: Located in a strategic area with easy access to town. The Anderson is quite a peaceful place to stay in.
Cons: Very unclear and confusing parking lots; arrows directing traffic has faded. Luckily not many cars during my stay so it wasn’t too dangerous.
Toilet’s bidet was leaking and some aircon remote not functioning. Hopefully owner can fix it.
Overall a good one-night stay, would recommend for those who just needs a place to sleep.
this is the second time i’m staying at this place. the first time was booked via agoda. the room is spacious and nice but floor is dusty. but that isn’t a big deal for me. what has really ruined my mood for the stay was the front desk guy. he is an indian man. he called me 3 times on the morning of my stay but i didn’t pick up because i was driving from KL. when i reach there around 2.30 pm after i had my lunch, i gave a call to the number in the front desk (which was his number who called me earlier) to ask if can check-in now or need to wait until 3pm. he said 3pm and i was okay since it’s just a few more minutes until 3pm anyway. no one was in the premise at that time which is why i call the number written on the whiteboard. during my check-in, he is complaining about why i didn’t pickup the call so he didn’t know what time i’m coming to check in. so unprofessional of him to say that the first thing to a guest. trying to blame me? well first, you’re calling in the morning of my trip and you can’t expect me to pickup the phone when i’m driving? you could have just leave a message on whatsapp if i didn’t pickup the call. everybody is using whatsapp nowadays so what’s so hard to reach me?
second, he asks for RM50 deposit but my mother didn’t hear at first so she asked what the RM50 is for and he said to buy KFC? repeatedly saying to buy KFC. is that suppose to be a joke? we all know he’s just trying to be sarcastic to my mother because that isn’t funny at all to us.
during my first time stay at this place on Dec 2023, Mr Poon whatsapp me A DAY before my trip to confirm my booking and my arrival time. it was pleasant and easy with Mr Poon which is why i choose this place again for my second trip but turns out, the front desk is a different person this time and he really ruined my mood during my stay there because of his unprofessional attitude.
The price is reasonable for a large family. The best thing we like about this place is the high water pressure, due to its water pump. It is also not too far from the Lost World Tambun and quite a quiet place due to its location at the remote area. There are some nice eateries in 9-10 min driving distance. Easy check-in and out. However, we hope that the host can prepare more basic necessities like laundry detergent, trash bags and tissue papers etc then we don’t have to travel out to purchase again. Also, this unit will deserve higher rating if we didn’t see the cockroaches and lizard in the house.
A 8-minute walk from Lost World of Tambun in Ipoh, H&W Sunway Onsen Suite Tambun Sunway City Ipoh features accommodations with access to a hot tub. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking, and free Wifi. The apartment offers an infinity pool, sauna, and full-day security.
The air-conditioned apartment consists of 1 separate bedroom, 1 bathroom with a hair dryer and a living room. Towels and bed linen are featured in the apartment. The accommodation is non-smoking.
Guests can relax in the garden at the property.
AEON Mall Kinta City is 4.5 miles from the apartment, while Ipoh Parade is 5.8 miles away. Sultan Azlan Shah Airport is 6.8 miles from the property.

GGuest UserThe look and feel of Sarang Paloh is lovely. It has an old world style which we loved. The location is also great, ten minutes from the station and close to lots of restaurants and spots in the old town.
The room has a nice style to it as does the garden you walk through. The room facilities were lacking, with no fridge and no safe which we would expect at this price point. Hot water in the shower doesn’t last long and they provide a 3 in 1 body wash, shampoo and conditioner, again something we wouldn’t expect at this price point. The hotel also doesn’t offer room cleaning. This may have been because we stayed for two nights only but this is not communicated on the website or at check in. This meant used cups or water bottles aren’t cleared nor is the rubbish bin emptied. We were also not made aware of locally available discounts for staying at the hotel.
All in all an ok stay but several small things made this not value for the money we paid.
NNicoleIt is a very lovely guest house with great atmosphere. Especially, I have to thank a staff who was on duty on 18th night shift sincerely. My grandmother was uncomfortable on that night, we were looking for pills to stop her stomach ache from the reception at around 3am in the midnight, the staff was very kind, he drove my sister to the nearest convenience store to get the pills and finally my grandmother felt better after that.

GGuest User“A Slice of Santorini in Ipoh!”
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the stunning Santorini-inspired aesthetics of this place. The white and blue theme was picture-perfect, making me feel like I was transported straight to Greece. The attention to detail in the design was exceptional, from the charming decor to the cozy and well-maintained rooms.
impeccably clean, cozy, and well-equipped with modern amenities, yet it retained a rustic charm that made it feel special. The bed was comfortable, and the view from the balcony was a delightful bonus. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or wind down in the evening.
The staff was incredibly warm and accommodating, always ready to assist with a smile. Their recommendations for local attractions and dining options were spot-on, making my trip even more enjoyable. Would definitely return!

WWan YingRoom was clean, 1 king bed and 1 single bed. Have small bath tub, kid like it much. Hotel have small kid pool as well, consider indoor. No worry raining day. Have mini cinema room, time allow until 9pm. We have good experience in hotel. One thing to improve is the sound insulation. Stay at level 2, kids pool noise clearly disturb during morning/evening nap.
